Ate there 6÷27÷16 for lunch… we were told that the signature dishes were not available… food was average at best… The only bright spot was our server… Won’t be returning

We accidentally stumbled across this eatery because of a restaurant sign on the highway and so glad we did! Lovely waitress who was very kind to all of us and loves what she does. Food was delicious. I had a chicken club which was phenomenal. my 7yo stole half of it! My husband had a burger with blue cheese. Meat is made fresh and ground on site… they are working on getting local meat soon… even so it amazing! They were out of fries and I am glad because the onion rings Were awesome. Highly recommend this little place… just follow the dirt road.

I have a cabin near the resort and have eaten there in the past, always good. Now with new owners the restaurant has gone to a whole new level of enjoyment. During the summer outside dining is wonderful, and when it’s cold the restaurant is cozy. We were there the day after Thanksgiving and enjoyed a fine meal. I remembered that, years earlier, they had offered pumpkin soup. Alas, not on the menu, BUT our waitress checked with the chef and the next day delicious pumpkin soup! Top marks!

I am only giving the restaurant a 3… not because of the food… which was great, but because of the service. We were a party of 8 that came in for our dinner reservation at 6:30 and were promptly seated. At this point the service turned poor as we ordered a couple of rounds of drinks and appetizers(per Utah law)… We had to ask several times for our dishes to be cleared and waited quite some time for the food to be delivered… However, as we were waiting for our food to arrive we were informed that the waitress had cut us off from having an additional drink… WOW… I have never seen a restaurant cut a customer off so quickly after 2 or 3 drinks… Even though the manager has to support the waitress decision he too seemed confused as to reason behind this and discounted our bill as a gesture. I have lived in Utah for 20 years and have dined at multiple restaurants and have never seen the Utah liquor laws applied this strictly… To be fair the food did arrive and it was very good… Just disappointed with the service and hospitality…

What a wonderful time we had! Kids had quesadillas and chicken fingers/fries. I had their daily burger special – Roasted red pepper with goat cheese. My husband chose the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings! Delicious! The service was outstanding. We were made to feel very welcome.

Worth Finding This Delight — While on a road trip around the country, my wife and I were in the mountains of southern Utah and saw a blue«food» road sign near Duck Creek Village, Utah. We turned in the rough road and found the restaurant at Pinewoods Resort. We chatted with the managers and then met their delightful young server. We both had the Angus beef burgers, my wife with mushrooms and I with feta cheese. Sweet potato fries and onion rings rounded things out. Their iced tea was as good as everything else. The meal was an absolute delight and we were treated akin to royalty. Even the soft music was tasteful and not loud — so rare. We had a small problem with one entrée’ and our server and the chef(in person) made it right immediately. We had the carrot cake for dessert; its artwork-in-icing was so stunning a presentation that we took a picture of it before enjoying. In addition to seeking the spectacular vistas of southern Utah, seek out Pinewoods Resort. You won’t regret it. Under new management and with a new chef, they are working hard to build their new business; quality is their obvious ethic.

Hidden gem — back for 4th year. The waiter has been there 7 seasons and always offers excellent service going out of his way to make sure the customer is happy. We were hoping they had elk like they did last year but there was a new chef. We all ordererd bacon/cheeseburgers and french fries. The fries were extra crispy which was what I love. The burgers had a great flavor and the steak fries were yummy too. We bought ice cream on the way out. We ordered moose track and mint chip chocolate chip. The mint chip tasted a little freezer burned to me. I highly recommend coming to pay Pinewoods Resort Restaurant a visit — you will NOT be disapointed.

This is our 7th year coming to Duck Creek and the Pinewoods Resort. The food and staff have always been exceptional! But this year they have a new chef/owner who is absolutely tremendous and so talented. I would have thought it would have been difficult to top past years, but they have managed to raise the bar and take it to a new level!

Hey have you met Ford? He is a new young Chef with a heart and a passion for his food! Innovative and delicious is the food you will eat and crave again and again. I have had his New York grass feed beef that is perfectly seasoned and cooked. Along with his garlic mash from scratch and asparagus that was so flavorful! Two times now. Also had his pasta with chicken. I have never tasted any better than Fords! Creamy with hit of jalapeño and the chicken was wonderfully flavored! Every bite is mmm! I’ve heard about his smoked prime rib on Saturdays and that’s what’s for dinner tonight! Can’t wait!
