False advertising!

3 stars ONLY BECAUSE of NANCY! Best one behind the bar. Made sure I could watch my hockey game. Got changed 3 times because 2 basketball games need to be on 42 TVs!?!
So confused with this place. Started out as a dive ish type bar then all of a sudden BOOM night club. Lights off and Music so loud Helen Keller could here it. Just bizzare. I did enjoy the type of music. Just to damn loud I’m not old but Dayum… That shit was loud. Food bland.

Went this past Tuesday night about 9 p.m. … I drink Ketel One on the rocks. Waitress Amber was great once she recognized the tempo in which I consume (lush). The drinks started out fine at first but after about the 8^th or 9^th or 10^th? they tried to pull a switch-​a-​roo on me. For this I blame either the bartender/​management. I have no idea if it was intentional or because they ran out. I sent the drink back they made another and it wasn’t Ketel One. That was it poured it out and asked to close my tab. Tipped Amber a 20 because it was not her fault she was awesome! The crowd was great Music/​DJ was great!!! Will return and try again as I hope it was a one time thing. Next time maybe I should just order the whole bottle so I can see what is being poured. Please can anyone recommend a better watering hole.

Stay Away! They put a 18% automatically on our bill for 2 people. They brought me the wrong drink, that I did order and it happened to be the most expensive one they have and they did not take it off my bill. Waitress was terrible, no silverware at the table, had to ask 2x and wait while our food got cold and we had to wait on her for everything, bill and ordering. This was at 6:30– 7 on a Friday, and they were not busy at all.

Friday nights are whack. Drinks were $ 5 and gave me a headache the next morning. No thanks.

Food was average and service slow considering there was nobody there. Waitress was very attentive.

I’ve been to this Barnacles many times over the years – both before and after the remodel.
I hate to admit that I like this place. Yes, the crowd is a bit «hood». But the food is good and I like the music (mainly old school r&b, rap and current tunes). We usually sit at the bar and have the same waitress. We order plenty of drinks and tip well, so she treats us well.
The last time we went (Nov. 6, 2015) I had hookah and that stuff was LETHAL! It was soooo strong and I got sooo sick. Never again.
Still, whenever I wanna get loose and not drive all the way downtown, this is my spot of choice.

So me and my girl have had some good times here but they have been overshadowed by a few times we’ve visited. By the SAME waitress!
We’ve been twice together; one visit during club hours, and currently we are here to catch the Iron Bowl. I’ve also been here once with my friend for a couple beers and pool. The waitress we’ve had each time together, Precious, was very nasty the first time and slow each time. It took three reminders for the ranch for my riblets and two reminders for lemonade. The food was good (my riblets and fries, her chicken tenders and fries although the basket only included 2 tenders! Yet still big.), I can’t get over the service I got from her. The first time during club hours she was so bad we walked out. This current time a table even called the manager on her.
For the club side this is a really cool spot for Gwinnett, majority of a black crowd. But the daytime proves to be very iffy.

This location is only for «young people». Even the owner. Only speaks to the youngsters. Even the server who first greeted me said «welcome to barnacles what can I do you for». They don’t even give you a receipt when you pay your bill. It was totally different under the old management. The food is average at best; no seafood pasta variety and it’s too expensive. The décor is great since the remodeling. But the music continues to be the foul-​mouth hip hop garbage… how about some smooth jazz once in a while. I have no immediate plans to ever return to this joint.

I came out for the tailgate here. It’s been a while since I’ve been but still an enjoyable experience. I had salmon with rice pilaf. It was cooked to perfection! They always give very hearty portions. A must stop when in Duluth.

I went on the $ 2 Tuesday with some friend. The wings were really good especially for $ 5 bucks! Cover was very cheap and we actually found a table which we were lucky because it became packed after a certain time. The drinks were strong and everyone was there to have a good time. The music was your typical rap and you’re in your world dancing to the music. I really enjoyed myself.

I went during lunch, and my only complaint was that the crab legs were really small. They had a great taste though. The waitress was very professional, and she did state that they get pretty busy at night. Great $ 5.00 great specials! They must of been good, because I had 3 of them… If in the area again, I would definitely come by for a light snack and drinks!

SO I HEARD THIS WAS A HOT SPOT TO FIND A BUNCH OF MEN AT «ALL A ONE TIME» AS PER MY SISTER. WELL I THINK I PICKED THE WRONG NIGHT TO GO THIS NIGHT BECAUSE, IT WAS VALENTINE’S AT 8ISH.
Anywho, I had been in the area and running around and it was so close I decided to stop. While the bar tender Al… he was super cool and for an very mature caucasian man… he has major swag. If you go… make sure you have AL serve you he was very nice. After finally placing my order w/​AL, I order the Chicken & Broccoli Fetticine but, asked for the chicken cajun style and oh boy was the food great for a bar! I will diffidently go back one night and ask for Al to check out the men hopefully on a busy week night.
Now on the other hand… this place ONLY didn’t get 5 stars because, I felt intentionally overlooked by a waitress who totally paid no attention to me. The worst service is to get NO SERVICE… just because, your a woman and I am a woman don’t be intimidated to speak, check or serve me. Besides you never know who people are when then come into a business and as an owner of a business your there to offer great service and make the business money. If you are a waiter/​waitress and you ONLY serve the opposite sex as this lady NANCY did… you wouldn’t not last long working in my establishment. Especially at a bar.
If I wasn’t wrapping up my meal and leaving when AL mentioned he was switching bars, I would of move to the other bar that he moved to. as 3 other patrons did. I presume because, NANCY was not providing them service either. SMH.

very out dated on the inside. need fresh painting, new bar tools, new TV’s. basically renovated the place. Dj was playing 90s music. Bartender brushed her hair the entire time she was behind the counter while serving food and making drinks. Never again!

Cool spot for $ 2.00 Tuesdays, the lemon pepper wings were great especially at $ 5.00 and the drinks were OK but for $ 2.50 no complaints! Parking is crazy horrible! I spent 20mins looking for a spot and then I had to stalk a group to get their spot just to get there and someone else was patiently waiting. Cool spot to chill and have drinks… the crowd is mixed and I do mean mixed with young, old and slightly «thotish». Other than that I had a chill time with my friends and the Dj was on point.

It’s OK as a «sports bar» … the lemon pepper wings are really good a special for $ 2 Tuesday so it was a good choice for economical minded folks. Music was exactly the same 2 weeks in a row, needs update from radio!

We’ve been here a few times but it seems the service level is subpar. On our recent visit, our waitresses inexperience costed us money. We asked her about tap specials and she said «there really aren’t any» but that they had $ 5 mixed drink specials. With that said, we ordered a margarita and Miller light, 2 orders of 10 piece wings and 2 fries. I cancelled my fries but the manager brought them to the table anyway and said it would be no charge. Wonderful!
Our waitress was inattentive, likely because she had tables ALL over the place (not in a particularly consistent area). Our glasses stayed empty unless we flagged her down. To make a long story short, we were brought our check and it was over $ 100 for 6 beers, 2 margaritas, 5 teq shots, 2 orders of wings and we were likely charged for that other fry anyway. The check was soaking wet when she brought it to the table but wasn’t examined too closely, we happily paid our bill and moved on with life., that is until the next day online we saw the Wednesday flyer (we went on a wednesday) boasting, DARE I say it «$ 2 drafts»! The waitress either lied or wasn’t knowledgeable… Anyone can calculate that $ 2 beers are very different than say $ 5 beers. We called management 3 times and they didn’t even return our call. Talk about service.
When we went back to the venue and mentioned this, the restaurant owner wouldn’t even come out and speak to us. We were respectful and reasonable the entire time so this was really shocking. One event manager came and we described the situation. She was incredibly professional and respectful, but the owner refused to acknowledge our compliant nor offer to give us back the difference with the special.
Don’t advertise a special and then not honor it for your patrons. I don’t think I’ll be ever going back here. Sustainable business is built on good customer service. They’re missing this here and it shows :/

We had a large group for dinner in June. Because we had a large group, gratuity was included in the tab when we received our bills. When I opened my credit card statement, I discovered that our server had tacked on an additional tip for herself. I checked with others in our party and discovered she had added additional gratuity on all our checks. We won’t be back.

My friend and I visited Barnacles this past Monday and I was quite disappointed. Our waitress was friendly but took a very long time to greet us and in between checking in on us. We were informed that they did not have a full bar, which is crazy because it’s a sports bar. The food was mediocre, drinks were weak, and the place is dirty. I will not be returning there.

Barnacle’s is a nice spot for hangin’ out, dancing, shooting pool, eating, and just a good place to go to have a good time! Me and some friends went last Friday (10−11−13) to celebrate my friend’s B-​day. We had a ball! Ladies get in free before 12am, we loved that even more. It became crowded the later it got and the music was «off the chain» good! They played alot of old school music (late 80’s early 90’s)!! Recommended spot if you just want to go and dance and have a good time!
Oh, even though I didn’t drink that night, the drinks were very reasonably priced. I bought my friend a Long Island Iced-​Tea for only $ 4. That’s better than other places I’ve been where the drinks can start at $ 6 – 7.
