In Atlanta area on training. Saw this place last week and wanted to try. Most of my group has been wanting BBQ or burgers so I decided to go by myself to try this place. I was craving a swordfish dinner and their sign has a swordfish on it so I figured I would be good. The restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere inside. I was early but it appears they have Latin inspired entertainment. Music. Comedy. The menu is plentiful but there wasn’t a swordfish steak option. Most options are a variety of tacos made with different fish as well as plenty of ceviche options. I am not a ceviche fan so I decided on steak and shrimp fajitas. I know I came here for seafood but I just absolutely love fajitas so went with my favorite choice on menu. The chips and salsa were great. Clearly made in house, the salsa has a sweetness and there was a green chile sauce I tasted but was too spicy for me. However I don’t do spicy hot so may be perfect for someone who likes heat. The fajitas came and again clearly everything was house made including the corn tortillas and the lettuce and tomatoes were super fresh cut. The steak was the most delicious steak fajitas I have had. The flavor was a bit different for traditional fajitas with an almost sweet teriyaki flavor. The chicken was perfect moist and not over cooked. The meat was complimented with a small amount of onions and peppers which is refreshing considering other places have more veggies than meat. Although I am not a huge corn tortilla fan, that did not lower the excellence of these fajitas. The beans were great as was the rice. My hostess, server and the manager who stopped my table were very nice. Especially the server Maria. Top notch experience and delicious food.

So I came here about a week ago with my family for dinner. The restaurant is quite nice-looking and clean, and the staff are nice and attentive. To start, they bring out fresh tostadas with a cilantro sauce and salsa, plus habanero salsa when requested, which were great and fresh. My dad’s a restaurant owner himself who is stingy with praise, and couldn’t stop eating it so there you go. Unfortunately, it just went downhill after that. We ordered calamari for an appetizer, which seemed to be a bit undercooked, so we asked them to fry it a little more, but it was still just tough and rubbery and underseasoned. Thankfully, they took that off our bill. For the meal, I got the shrimp chile relleno thinking it would be spicy, though I probably should’ve googled poblanos because apparently they’re not… at all. Still it didn’t taste bad. I think my mother got the stuffed filet, which I think I liked better, but she didn’t seem to be too impressed. My sister’s paella was okay, but I’ve definitely had better. Other sister had a fajita, which you probably can’t go wrong with. Didn’t get a chance to try my dad’s fish soup, but he didn’t eat very much of it, though that might be because he’d eaten so much of the salsa and chips already. There were a lot of other items on the menu I was interested in trying, but I’m just not so sure I’ll come back again. Considering the quality and quantity of the food, they either need to lower the prices or increase the portion size. You’ve already got Las Costas Nayaritas across the street with similar fare, but a dollar or two cheaper, and you get so much more for your money.

Yesterday, the day that we celebrate Dr ML King and his dream for us to all treat one another with respect as equals, I walk into this great looking restaurant Mariscos Mazatlan con ganas de comer un rico Caldo de Mariscos, but instead I left hurt, insulted, frustrated, y muy hambrienta because my server didn’t even want to walk over to my table to give me a menu and a glass of water, because she doesn’t speak English and I guess sees a morena and assumes I don’t hablar espanol — Straight racism!!! What country is Duluth, GA in, again?! Then they all just stood around as I walked out disgusted — nobody said a word to discourage me from leaving. I decided to come back to let them know that I saw what was going on, and a manager tried to make up up for the poorly educated(en todos los sentidos) waiter, but I was far too upset to stay there. I really wanted to try the place out, but I can’t do the racial profiling. I’d like to believe it’s not always like that so I’m going to give them another try. SMH…

Beautiful atmosphere and definitely an awesome experience overall. A clean restaurant is always my number one factor and this place has definitely reached my expectations! Did you know this is a chemical-free seafood restaurant? So no farm-raised, all organic food. Thumbs up for the owners for believing a natural raised foods.

The staff was really nice and helpful! The coconut shrimp and shrimp chile rellenos were good. My brother and mom did not like the mango shrimp but I’m not sure if it was the owner or manager asked us to give them an honest opinion on the food and we told them about that dish. They gave us a discount and said they would try to work on the plate. Overall great atmosphere. Very nice and cordial staff.

Just opened on Friday this new traditional Mexican Seafood is a breath of fresh air. Everything is fresh and made in traditional methods. Even the drinks fresh coconut! I have not seen to much of that around the ATL. The food was great and service, well let’s just say everyone including the busboy were generally interested to know if I was enjoying myself. Wonderful family atmosphere I felt I was in someones home. Check it out!
