love the location and staff, pretty bum that they are moving their location.

This Duluth location is terrible in terms of club repair and support. On three different occasions I’ve been turned away by their club repair staff for BASIC stuff. And might I add turned away with attitude by the same old crotchety individual. Examples below: 1. Simply ask said individual to measure a discount raw diamana shaft in the discount shaft bag(various new and pulled shafts available for good prices). I just wanted to know length so I would know how long it played in my three wood. Guy says“well it won’t do you any good to know the length now bc it will play totally different installed.” It’s at this point I let home know I already know how much length is added to my rbz with adapter and and head so all I need is the raw lengt ly of the shaft and then I can do the math in my head. He then huffs and puffs measures and rudely flings the shaft back at mumbling the length. Needless to day I bought a shaft online and went elsewhere to have it installed. 2. Went in to try and buy an r11s tip for a shaft and have it installed. Told him what I wanted and without looking or checking inventory he immediately says we don’t carry that. Even though the public website says there were three in stock at this location. He refuses to double check and again I take my business elsewhere. 3. Go in today on a Sunday afternoon and ask to have a putter grip replaced. Nothing difficult whatsoever. Same dude huffs puffs and says he can’t get to it until tomorrow. Really? We are talking cutting the old grip off applying tape and water and putting a new grip on a putter and that takes 24 hrs? Took it to golfsmith down the road and the putter was done in 10 minutes. How this clown is allowed to interact with customers on a daily basis is mind boggling.

If you are looking for golf equipment(they also sell tennis stuff) this is the place to go! Recently upgraded to a Nike belly upon the recommendation of one of the sales staff after he watched me putt around on their practice green with a standard putter. It has really improved my putting! So when I was looking at possibly so new irons this was the place to go. The staff is knowledgeable about everything in the store. They have practice driving range and can analyze your swing. I ended up reshaping my driver, 3 and hybrid because even my club head speed was too fast for the stiff shafts that came on the club. People say good golfers can play with anything, but I disagree. Since I have replaced putter and reshaped my clubs I have dropped 10 strokes a round this summer. If you want good equipment and friendly knowledgeable people to assist you then this is the place to go!

I’ve been to all of the PGA Store locations in the Atlanta area(including the now gone Buckhead location). The one in Duluth is by far the largest and most diverse store of them all. This store is the Mecca of golf stores in Atlanta. Though they have the largest selection of clubs, training equipment, and apparel I’ve ever seen, it’s not without it’s issues, of which are the only reasons I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. For one, if you want someone who knows what they’re talking about, make sure you find someone who looks like they’re knocking on social security’s door, because they’re the ones with knowledge and the ones who care the most. For another, the store feels awkwardly laid out, so it takes a couple of trips to get the gist of it. Lastly, though they have every brand of club and apparel that’s not a knockoff, they seem to have bet the farm on Taylormade. It’s not a bad brand, but I prefer Ping, Titleist or Cobra. When you walk in, there are hundreds of Taylormade drivers and fairway woods, but only a handful of other brands. I’m not sure if it’s due to customer demand or a marketing contract, but it seems excessive to me. On the positive side: They do actually have all of the aforementioned brands of products, plus Nike, Under Armor, Oakley, Foot Joy, Addidas, Puma, Callaway, Cleveland, Wilson, Mizzuno, and Bridgestone. This diversity in products is outstanding. I can and do spend hours in there browsing everything from quality hats and quality shirts(I’m looking at you Golfsmith and Sports Authority) to used clubs, gloves, and balls. The used clubs are very reasonably priced, though the clubs turn over quickly, so if you’re in the market don’t wait too long. The issues I have are reconcilable, and in spite of them I still highly recommend this location of the PGA Store. Just plan a little extra time to look around. It’s not the place to go if you’ve only got 10 minutes to spare.

Not too shabby of a PGA SuperStore. Lots of merchandise, but the help and service is like a 3 putt, and making double bogey when you could have made an eagle… Where are the blue shirts when you need them? Can you help me find a freaking demo club? Can you just make eye contact? Nope. they aren;t too keen on service here.
