Awesome décor, staff is moderately friendly/knowledgable on the menu. The atmosphere always seems pretty engaging and the place seems to be full most of the time. The tacos are hit or mess and the plates are rather small. Good experience overall and good food. I would definitely recommend based off of my experience.

I really wanted cake, but I wasn’t ready for the Crazy cake I got. No, i’m not name calling… that’s the actual name of the humongous slice of amazing that you can buy at Rustic couch. Crazy cake($ 7) is a «mishmash» of multiple types of cake, and I was told that A) it’s one of their fastest moving cakes, and B) it’s whatever cake the bakers put together, so my crazy may not be as crazy as your crazy. I know, crazy right? My crazy cake was a 4 layer cake with Carrot cake as the base(topped with cream cheese frosting), red velvet cake, dark chocolate cake, and yellow cake, with a sliver of strawberry like shortcake at the base of this, and whipped frosting as the main frosting for the entire cake, which is covered with colorful sprinkles. Each section of the cake was really good, very moist, and had nice flavor, although I liked some sections better than others(notably the chocolate and carrot cake). The cake size is HUGE. It’s literally about 3 hefty slices of cake, so you can definitely share it, but if you don’t, I understand why not. Customer service was just fine, and I enjoyed the atmosphere of Rustic Couch, although I didn’t dine in. With that said, I was in and out in under 5 minutes, but I did just order a slice of cake. Located right next to Sri Thai Kitchen and Sushi Bar, parking isn’t a problem, nor is getting out onto Satellite Blvd. I walked away from Rustic couch satisfied, but not dying to go back. I know there’s much much more to Rustic couch than crazy cake, but that’s all I have to base my review off of, and for what I tried, I’ll definitely be back to give them more money.

Great little café/boba tea place. Food is good too — try the bulgogi cheesesteak! Lots of college kids meet here for study groups or other clubs. Free wifi, good speed. Pleasant counter service. Only reason I rate it down one star is: a) occasionally they play christian rock that is not good *and* super-distracting b) v. limited outlets But it’s a reliable place to go to work for a little while, and they are open nice and late.

We saw this place thanks to a Groupon so we decided to check it out. The place has a very rustic, like the name implies, with very nice décor. The board menu was really nice, with cute and colorful colors. The person who served us was really nice, and very polite and awesome. My girlfriend had the royal milk tea it was really good but she made a mess because her Boba was stuck in a cluster(her fault). You can get it in a ordinary to go cup but we got it in a Mason jar(only available if you in store). For food we got the crispy banh bao, loaded tots, and tempura chicken tenders. They were all really good, a little pricey but overall it made for a great experience. We’d definitely come back again, it took a while(thank you traffic) but it was worth it. If you’re looking for a cute date idea, this is more appropriate than other milk tea places like sweet hut or quickly.

This place was so so cute. Came here on an impromptu coffee date with my love and grabbed a slice of carrot cake. Delicious cake and HUGE, even though I wish it weren’t cold but that’s just me. I hate cold cake. The coffee was legit. I very much enjoyed my sea salt caramel latte. Place is adorable with rustic décor(like duh) and comfortable chairs and couches scattered about. Love the nice touches on the walls and free lemon infused water. Yummy.

Rustic Couch sits on the corner of this random shopping center off of Satellite Blvd between Beaver Ruin and Steve Reynolds Blvd. I visited the place last weekend because I wanted to eat somewhere new and didn’t know where to go. Okay, so, this place is cute. There’s patio seating if that’s your gig or you can sit inside and eat, study, chill, or whatever. The interior is like lofty warehouse meets a coffee shop. There are couches and partially brick walls. Steel and window seats. Cute, girl, real cute. I ordered an iced chai and spicy crawfish dip. I was overwhelmed with options but decided to see if the chai was good. It was okay… very cinnamonny. I’d try a milk tea next time. You find your seat after taking an order and the waitress will bring the food to you. As I waited, I noticed the place wasn’t really too packed for 1:30 pm on a Saturday. I liked that, actually. My meal came about 10 minutes later and it was really really good. The aesthetics were beautiful too. It wasn’t too spicy, but enough that I kept drinking the chai. I’d come back just to get out of the house or to meet up with friends without feeling compelled to go to anyone’s house. Check it out.

Parking: Free parking in their parking lot. Service: The service is hit or miss. It really just depends on when you come and who’s working. I think this is an area they could improve in. Food: I’ve tried several of their milk teas, all of which were good. I’ve also tried their food items like their tacos, sandwiches, and snacks and honestly everything here is good. It’s a great spot to hang out and eat. overall experience: A

This is a cute little place in the same mall as I Luv Phở. I got their black tea with boba and their crispy chicken nuggets(spicy) and I thoroughly enjoyed both! I came here with my friend and she had their strawberry lychee smoothie and tempera fried chicken tenders. It felt very homey and cozy and I enjoyed my visit! It is a cute, hip place but I wouldn’t recommend coming here to get full. Their portions are a bit small and not made to be full meals. Regardless, I will be back!

The only reason I walked in was bc I got a $ 25 off coupon with a purchase of $ 50. Well at first it did seem like the lady working was annoyed or something at us for using one but I’m saying why have that kinda attitude about ppl redeeming coupons y’all give? Anyway she did split out payments all wrong. But it was ok I guess little errors that could of been avoided if she was listening to us. Food took about 30−40min to arrive! And our appetizer came last! But damn that was definitely some good crawfish! Kinda spicy and the«chips» we’re hot and chewy. Super recommend to ppl. 4⁄5 I got the bulogi cheesesteak. It was a little off the perfect mark but still good 3⁄5 Banh mi burger I had a bite the patty is thick! 3⁄5 Overall pretty expensive with the coupon with still ended paying $ 40

I would go out of my way and come here from now on; easily. Definitely worth the drive from the Starbucks nearby on Pleasant hill, if anything for a different experience but even more for a BETTER beverage. The drinks here are phenomenal! Best iced coffee drink I’ve ever had; plus the deserts are nice. We haven’t tried the food yet, but they all look great. We tried the red velvet cake, and it was massive so definitely a shareable size. The overall ambiance makes us feel like we are back in Brooklyn; so for all those New Yorkers that moved to Georgia so they could buy a home(come on, I know you’re out there) come by Rustic Couch and get a taste of home :)

The appearance is a 5… I’m gonna try to not use the word ‘rustic’. Overall, I really like the look of this place. While they do stay true to their name in terms of style, they also have random touches of modern furniture and décor to mix things up and keep things interesting. It’s accommodating for both individuals and groups, and the furniture is arranged so it never feels that crowded. The ambiance is really chill; I think the look of the place itself encourages more of a chill and mellow atmosphere in comparison to the neighboring Asian coffeeshops/bakeries. But the food is a 3… I honestly wanted a place to enjoy a late night read with a coffee and a scone, but this isn’t the place for that(at least not for the latter). Unilocal categorizes this place under ‘bakeries’, but serving baked goods is not really their calling card; they actually pride themselves on their savory menu of appetizers(«little bites») and sandwich entrees(«big bites»). I ordered their chicken nuggets which were basically their version of the Quickly chicken nuggets, but they weren’t nearly as good. Judging from the pictures, none of the other little bites look any better. On the other hand, the big bites look pretty good; maybe I’ll try those next time. Rustic Couch also prides themselves on their flavored teas and milk teas. Coffee drinks are fine too, but I’m no coffee aficionado. Overall, I’ll give it a 4. It’s a very cool place to relax on your own or hang with your friends over coffee or other drinks. Hopefully, I’ll have a better experience with the food next time. I’ll def be back at least for coffee to use my free coffee check-in offer!

I’ve been here a few times and it’s easily one of my favorite places to get milk tea. However, they’re often out of something when I visit. First it was the white chocolate for my boyfriend’s white chocolate mocha, another time it was taro milk tea and boba, we ended up going some place else for my fix that night. Had to shave off a couple stars for this reason. Of their food items I’ve tried the barbecue chicken flatbread(which wasn’t much of a flat bread at all, but still pretty good) and their cookie and cream cake that I enjoyed. The location is cute with lots of cushy places to sit and is always very tidy.

Cute fusion café located in Duluth. I still can’t put my finger on what the overall feel of the place is – more urban, quaint, fusion-esque, youthful — compared to the well-known selection of Korean cafes in the area. The food and drinks are all just okay in my opinion, but the café seems to focus more on providing a lingering community ambience as opposed to a foodie-heavy atmosphere, anyways. I tried the calamari, loaded tots, red velvet cake, and banhmi hotdog; in terms of taste, everything was pretty standard. The loaded tots were just cooked normally, then topped with bacon bits, sour cream, sriracha, and green onions, so there was no special preparation unique to the café that added an extra wow factor to their dishes. The red velvet cake was the exception; they give you a massive slice and the cake itself is extremely moist, fluffy, with the perfect balance of cake and cream cheese frosting. Nothing was overly sweet or excessive in flavor — it reminded me of the red velvet cake from Marietta Diner. When I asked the worker about the cake, she told me they get it from a secondary source, so they don’t actually prepare it in house. Bummer. For drinks, I tried the mango green tea and strawberry bubble tea, both of which were also average. Service is friendly, but they forgot to complete part of my order, so my table was missing drinks until we had to remind them again. Overall, it’s a cozy place to hang out with friends or catch up over light desserts, but I wouldn’t go for the drinks or food itself.

Rustic Couch is a nicely decorated coffee shop with a laid back atmosphere that is perfect for studying, coffee dates, and gathering with a group of friends. I have gotten their coffee and americano in the past as well as a banana nut muffin. Everything is perfect about these items. They also sell bubble tea and a mix of food dishes including wings and tacos. There are board games for those wanting to compete a bit; I played connect 4 the last time I was there! I saw that the back of the Rustic Couch had a private study area with a sliding door, which is perfect for those who want peace and quiet. I think what really stood out to me about Rustic Couch was that each seating option was completely unique, and for that reason it is perfect.

In the simplest of summaries let me just say I liked this place, but my family didn’t! THESCENE It is unlike me to not research someplace prior to going, but then again it is just like me considering every now and then I like to wing it and play things by ear. It feels good to discover someplace new just by walking in simply because you happened to be passing by. Rustic Couch is located on the opposite end of the same shopping center of I Luv Phở(someplace I visit often). If you have the Unilocal app, you know that it will sometimes throw out suggestions for places near your check-in location. I saw a few pics of the food here and bookmarked it in my mind. I didn’t realize this was a coffee shop prior to my visit and that may have been part of the turn off for my family. Coffee shops just have a different vibe and the laid back atmosphere felt like borderline customer neglect! LOL Also, people tend to hang out and lounge, which is fine. However, several of the larger tables were being eaten up by solo individuals who used the space as their own personal cubical. There were also groups of 3 or 4 chillin’ like they were at home. So our larger party of four was relegated to the smaller tables. THEFOOD Fairly reasonable in cost and the flavor of most everything we tried was between decent and tasty! My family on the other hand disagreed. — PHOCHILIDOG(2.5 stars) | $ 6.75 My youngest LOVES phở and would have actually preferred to cross over to the other side of the parking lot to get a bowl, but settled for this unusual hot dog selection. Well, it was a little too unusual for him. I took a few bites and thought it was a cool twist on the classic dog, but probably would never order it again. — CALAMARI(4 stars) | $ 6.75 Kinda greasy, but had good flavor and I really liked the remoulade sauce. It was the only item we all agreed we liked. — SPICYCRAWFISHDIP(3.5 stars) | $ 7.95 I enjoyed this dip and would honestly have rated it as a 4.5 if it had been served hot instead of luke warm and if the chips had been less greasy. The kids didn’t like the spiciness. — SALAD(3 stars) | $ 6.50 Hard to argue with the resident salad lover in our home when she says it was just okay. Other than Caesar salad, a blackened BBQ shrimp salad w/sweet Vidalia onion dressing, or a strawberry & beet salad w/nuts, I have very little interest in rabbit food. — TEMPURACHICKENTENDERS(2.75 stars) | $ 4.50 Not nearly as flavorful as you would expect based on their appearance. I thought this would be a home run with the kids the moment it hit the table, but looks can be deceiving. I would have probably given them 3.5 stars while the kids rated them as 2 stars. THEEXPERIENCE Service as I stated above was laid back. All of our food came out at different times not allowing us to eat together. When my son’s chicken tenders seemed to be taking too long, we walked back up to the counter and asked if they would be much longer. To our surprise, they did not put them on our order even though I heard my wife ask for them. She quickly checked the receipt and sure enough, they were not on there. The worst part was this son was the hungriest of us all, so he was not a happy camper receiving his food nearly 20 minutes after the rest of us. Mistakes happen, but my wife gave her the chicken tenders order as clear as day. FINALTHOUGHTS If we were ever to return, it would be for the calamari, the create your own breakfast sandwich(which looked amazing at another table) or maybe something from the Expresso Bar(like a hot cappuccino). The interior is cute and if I were a student I would probably find studying here highly appealing. But as a family looking to get something to eat, it didn’t work on many levels. 2.75 stars rounded to 3.

Upon entry, I expected Rustic Couch to feel like a typical Korean bakery/café like all the others in Duluth. I suppose there is an Asian influence with their banh mi burgers and choices of taro drinks and bubble teas. However, Rustic Couch did feel more American with the décor. Dare I say rustic? Here’s what we had: Loaded Tater Tots: Admittedly, I bookedmarked Rustic Couch because of the food and these tater tots were one of them even though I could make this myself at home. This serving was cute and ideal for sharing among 2 – 3 people. Pomegranate Tea with Aloe Jelly: This was too sweet for me. I think they add sugar to the Aloe Jelly and in addition, added additional sweetener. I fixed this by adding more water to my drink. This really tasted more like juice than tea. Pumpkin Spice Frappé: I had a sip of this and it tasted like a Pumpkin Pie milkshake. It’s nice but I doubt I could drink an entire thing of this. Service was great. The service model of ordering at the counter and sitting down with a number really works here. Even more so that the entire café feels cozy especially on a chilly night. I love, love the décor from the wood panels to the random iron typewriters and rotary phones decorating the space. Plenty of couches and seating whether you’re there to do work/study(yea, right) or to socialize with friends. I wish I had a place like this closer to where I live. The drinks here are so-so from what I’ve had, but I’d definitely want to give this place another try if I’m in the area.

I love this place so much! It’s a decently sized café. Great place to do a lunch and meet with friends over coffee. The menu is definitely different. I would call it fun! They have changed the menu since the last time I went though so what I may have ordered might not be there anymore(sadface). 1. Banh Mi Burger: It sounded cooler than it tasted. It just seems like a regular burger with the elements of a banh mi. I wouldn’t recommend this one. It comes with tator tots though, but they seem like generic delicious tator tots. 2. Calamari and wings were delicious. 3. Bulgolgi Cheesesteak was alright. Even though the food sounds good, I would come here more for drinks and desserts; however, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try the things on the menu though. Can’t wait to come back and take more pictures of their food. :D

I like how cozy this place is. It’s a place you can meet up a friend and talk to over lunch and brewed drinks. I ordered Bulgogi cheesesteak with tator tots– the cheese steak was a little dry. Tator tots were perfectly crisp. Crawfish cheese dip– super yummy, has a little kick to it. Couldn’t stop eating it. Red velvet cheesecake– I got a huggee slice. It was nice and moist. Jasmine milk tea– it was ok, It didn’t taste fresh brewed to me, maybe a powdered tea mix. The food is worth trying. I believe they hold private events here also. They have a small enclosed back room for events.

I was hoping to give them 4/5, since their service became faster. But then I had Bahn Mi Burger. It is soggy and overcooked. Sorry, you are still 3⁄5. I used Scoutmob, which is 50% off. But the bill is not so clear that the discount was applied. I had to ask more than once to make sure everything was okay. And why is default tip 18% even if it’s a take-out order? I tried their rustic java, with royal milk tea and aloe vera. The aloe vera was very fresh, probably made from scratch, but the royal milk tea is bland. It is totally fine for a coffee shop not having delis and food, but once it does, it better be good, more than okay. In this case, those food options drag rustic couch’s score down. Take my Bahn Mi Burger for example, cucumbers and carrots are cooked(why???), Meat is of not good quality, overcooked and salty, cheese, I just don’t like it. Only the bread is good. I couldn’t finish the burger. Nice environment does not define business, food and drinks do. Obviously it is not a good lunch place, even with the discount.
