Great park! Tennis courts are always open, bathrooms are nice, and the castle play ground is fun for adults too!

Love it here I run just here at the park everyday and always feel safe. The park is clean and right next to a police station.

I love this park it’s always kept clean and there always a police presence(I know that’s not necessarily a perk) but I like to destress here during my lunch breaks.

Armstrong Park/kidsville is a staple in the city of Duncanville. I remember coming here and playing as a kid. What I like best about this park is the wide open space to play pretty much anything your imagination will take you. They have everything from a fake car wash, huge performance stage, bike and walking trail, and mounds of places to climb and adventure in. I highly recommend this park there is also lots of neat places around the park as well, the library, recreation center, sonic, DQ. Lots of fun to be had here!

Good olé Armstrong Park, what can I say. I have been coming here since I was a lil kid. Seen it change alot of the years. Kidsville is super bad ass for kids to play in. Who dosent love a giant wooden castle to play and run around in. It’s even big enough for adults to get in the mix. And that’s good for chasing your younger kids around. Some of the equipment is getting a bit old, but I did see some new«pieces» there this last weekend. So hopefully the improvements will keep coming. They do have a pretty big running(paved) trail that goes around the park. And is always in good use from residents of Duncanville. They also have a kinda cool outside band stage that is used during festivals and stuff.

Armstrong park is a pretty good place to run because they have a long track that loops around the entire park and covers 0.8miles. Going during the week either in the morning or the afternoon is always best because there are more people. On the weekend, the park can get pretty empty, so I try to avoid running on those days for safety purposes. Overall, the park is always really clean and there is never any issues with littering. The playground that is located there is also a great place for kids to play in the morning. In the afternoon, however, the playground environment is not really safe because a lot if teenagers tend to hang out there in the afternoon and play loud music.

Armstrong Park & Kidsville is a landmark of the Duncanville area. Located at the intersection of Main Street and Wheatland Road, it is within walking distance for many residential areas. It sits adjacent to the Duncanville Police Department, the Duncanville Community Center, and the Duncanville Public Libarary. It’s very public space makes it a safe and friendly area to visit for individuals, kids, and families. One of the most notable aspects of Armstrong Park is Kidsville, a playground built to look like a miniature village, complete with some short(two story) towers, a bridge or two, and plenty of platforms and other structures, all made of wood, with paved streets winding in between many of the structures. It also offers more traditional playground features such as slides, swings, and monkey bars. It’s a wonderful place for kids to play, and indeed, parents may want to join their kids in a game of tag or hide and seek. In addition to Kidsville there are large sections of open grass that are good for playing Frisbee, or soccer, or having a picnic, though the covered picnic area with tables might be more suitable for that. There is also a gazebo, over ¾ miles of walking track, two tennis courts, and plenty of benches. I have visited Kidsville dozens of times as a child, and as an adult. It’s a great«hang out» spot in the evening for teenagers and young adults when there’s nothing to do and they want to get out of the house. It’s a good place for anyone to take walks. There used to be a swimming pool, but it was shut down and demolished a few years ago. Many events are hosted at Armstrong Park, including the annual Independence Day fireworks celebrations. A lot of it may be sentimental, but I really love Armstrong Park & Kidsville. If you live in the Duncanville, Cedar Hill, South Dallas area, you might consider visiting. Your kids are bound to have a good time.
