Been going here since I was a kid. Its where I learned to fish with my Grandfather when I 1st came to America. So it holds special memories for me. There seems to be alot of traffic. And alot of fishing going on. Not to keen on walking trails around the park. They do have a basketball court, volleyball court(sand) and couple baseball/softball fields. There is also a little kids playground across the street, where there is usually room to play. But on the main side its hella busy n crowded. Gotta be some fish in there, cause always fishing going on. Plus I know Texas Parks n Wildlife does stock the pond.

Lakeside Park is a small community park with two baseball fields, a pavilion, basketball court, sand volleyball court, playground, a pond, and walking paths. It’s within a mile of where I used to live in Duncanville, so I spent a lot of time there. It’s a great place to just go and hang out by the pond, feed the ducks, etc. The park isn’t always completely clean, and I have seen some shady people there every now and then, but it seems pretty safe over all. I’ve been to a few picnics there, and have had no problems. The pond has a fountain that flows for part of the year, and has lights at night, which is quite pretty to see. Lakeside Park is a good place to visit if you live within about a mile or so, or happen to be in the area. Take old bread and feed the ducks. It’s relaxing, and fun.
