We stopped in first year tasting room opened and bought several bottles of 2009 Dundee Pinot. Opened one today and it has mellowed nicely. Winery is very pretty. Honestly don’t remember what we paid for wine but will buy again if I can find it here in Hawaii.

The view is gorgeous, but all of us thought the wine as just«ok». If you’re going for ambiance, you’re golden, but if for amaxing wine, have to say there are better options.

Bella Vida really is the beauty of life. Its perfectly named. I would love to keep it a secret to keep its charm but must share it with you because you who love wine, food and beauty will thank me profusely and I will have done such a good deed. This place is a great find. Its definitely has the best views way up on the hill. There are more popular places down the road in Winderlea and Erath but they cannot even compare to here where the atmosphere is fabulous. the tasting room is newly done and they have a patio where you just will enjoy lounging and tasting and you won’t want to move on. Now if you wish to know about wine, talk to the owner, Allison, and she will patient ly educate you about the wine industry as a whole, what make Dundee, Or one of the top 3 places in the world for Pinot Noir and how their vineyard is different in that they have 3 different place do interpretations of their yearly crops. Allison also invented the«Greisling» I may not have spelled that right but its a refreshing white wine that is a Grigio and Reising combo that you just will love. This vineyard does not sell commercially, just to their visitors and me, who thinks most wines are just«meh» ordered 12 bottles because I must make sure I can have this again. Of course, it must be shipped because you wouldn’t dream of not keeping the temperature of it controlled to 70 degrees. Tip for me with no wine cellar… store it under my bed for 5 – 7 years and that is when it will taste the best. Another feature of the entire area is many of the local restaurant serve food sourced from the area.

Bella Vida was one of our favorite wineries after our visit to Willamette Valley. We were warmly welcomed by Allison. $ 10 tasting fee(not waived with purchase) for a sample of 4 wines. We loved all 4 samples but especially, their unique Gris-Ling(their take on Pinot Gris and Riesling). We loved their 3 Pinot Noir’s so much that we purchased their special pack of 3 for $ 95. We enjoyed the 3 different wine makers take on Pinot Noir and couldn’t decide on just one. The views are stunning up here, if you can deal with the steep, curvy road. It’s worth the drive up.

Best tasting experience in the region. Allison was an incredible hostess in the most beautiful tasting room. Gris-ling is delish. Views are picture perfect as well as the wines.

Today started out to be rainy, so I didn’t know what to expect from the wineries we went to, which were all ones we had never visited before. Our first stop was Bella Vida, and by the time we got there, the clouds were amazing, and well worth the steep driveway, as the view from the winery was breathtaking. We started with Grisl-ling, and then tried three Pinot Noir’s that were all made from Bella Vida’s rapes, but different vintners produced them. Very interesting experiment. Who would know that the same grapes would be so different in the hands of different wine producers. I would definitely go there again.

They have potential! This place is relatively new. The owners are in the tasting room serving wine and also on the grounds making the place look fancy. They are really friendly people. The wine is alright. I liked the Gris-iesling was awesome… mix of a Gris and a reisling. They had 3 Pinot nois they were pouring that were each made by a different wine maker from the same grapes. They were pretty good but I think they will improve with time. They are still working on the grounds and tasting room.

we found Bella Vida by accident after having a less then great experience at a over produced jammy Vineyard next door. on the way up the drive way i knew i would love this place because it had a sign saying no tour buses. When ever a tasting room is in someones garage you know its going to be good and it was. the Gris-ling is a perfect blend and the idea of using three different vintners to make wine from the same Vineyard was just great, And best of all the the people working there truly love making good wine and taking care of the land that gives them wine. best Vineyard of the trip

Great winery, with breathtaking scenic views of Dundee Hills AVA. Allison, one of the owners, was very friendly! Try some of their trademark Gris-Ling, or a selection of Pinot Noirs. They are currently in the midst of a remodel of their main building, but it is going to be fantastic when finished!!! Also, beware their driveway is extremely steep, very long, and mostly gravel. No place for limos or buses. But when you see the view from the top, WOW!

Nice flavor and nice folks. Tasting fee of $ 5 is terrific. Worth the drive up their steep hill.

While following a list of recommended wineries, we passed the attractive gates of Bella Vida Vineyard. The driveway is long and steep, and at the top you are greeted with a nice view. The staff is friendly. Unfortunately, the wine was not worth it. While the tasting fee was only $ 5, I would have preferred not to taste these wines. They were vinegary and tasted like they came from $ 6 bottles you buy at the grocery. I was shocked to see the bottles averaging $ 30 – 40. One thing I found interested here was that they grow the grapes, but do not make the wine. So you get to taste 3 wines by 3 different wineries, made with the same grapes. It’s quite interesting how different wine can taste despite coming from the same grape. In an area loaded with world class wine, this is one attractive gate you can pass.
