Cycling the causeway, we discovered this breakfast gem. A quaint neighborhood, short order diner with personality and culinary WOW! The Greek omelet, blueberry short stack, homemade hash browns, french toast… even the coffee provided a morning delight for four hungry cyclists pedaling the Pinellas Trail. We shared a scrumptious sticky roll as a «appetizer». Our first visit, won’t be our last.

Great place to get a delicious, simple, old school breakfast made right, must try the blueberry pancakes, price is right and usually it’s quick, I will again!

We stayed at a rental a few minutes walk from Brenda’s and I found it by accident. Wow, did I get lucky. The food is made fresh, right in front of you(if you sit at the counter) and the owner and staff are very friendly. Portion size is just right as is the price. If you want a quick, simple, tasty breakfast, Brenda’s is the spot

This is your classic greasy spoon situation. The lady doing the cooking is in fact Brenda and I don’t think she takes any crap off anyone. The food was as expected and totally satisfying. They keep the coffee warm and has a goo hometown feel

oh man I dislike being negative because I really wanted this to be a nice little place it isn’t :(how hard is it to serve coffee that is hot. entire place is greasy from the doorknob to the ceiling.(even the cup handles) and when the wrong meal(not even close) arrived and was brought to the server’s attention, she just said«oh» — that’s it. just«oh» and gave us a really sad frightened look we left it uneaten on the table. never received OUR order. and were still charged(and we paid, was just so sad) for a meal never received. we never ate. took one sip of bland cold coffee. waited for our check and paid bummer

Not sure why they cant figure out how to serve everyone quicker. I’m u! sully very geNero us on Unilocal and it takes a lot to upset me. Today was that day

Now, I like me some Brenda’s:) Small portions but good prices… so just order more stuff and you’l leave full and happy. Nice service. Tasty eggs and DELISH bread. They have low fat milk, which is nice for a breakfast place, and for me. See you this weekend.

I am so sad. We have gone to Brenda’s for years. Close to home, great diner food, one of our favorite breakfast spots. If we’d had a problem once, all would be forgiven. But twice and we’re done. It should not take 45 minutes to an hour to get your eggs, bacon and toast in a diner type restaurant that is not crowded. When we said something on our way out, Brenda not only didn’t apologize, but blamed us. «You chose to come when everyone else did.» Are you serious? There were a total of 4 tables, including us. Bye-bye Brenda. We’ve found better.

Sweet little beach town diner. Food was great! No sweet tea even though this is the south. Lol. Brenda and Rose are great!

A small place where Brenda cooks all of the food and Rose is the only server. Be patient and wait for it — the veggie omelette and the blueberry pancakes were fabulous!

As diners go, I like Brenda’s. Two eggs over easy, corned beef hash(with a slice of Swiss cheese on it), toast. She keeps the hash on the grill a while to crisp it up. The biscuits and gravy are also pretty good. Local flavor for sure, a nice change from all the carbon copy franchise places. Yeah, I like it for the beach area diner that it is!

Where do I start… it took 20 minutes to get our coffee and beverages. It took 30 minutes to get our food. With 3 kids this was not the place to be. The waitress was obviously very overwhelmed. The food for the price was good but the service was so horrible it wasnt worth it. A party of 7 came in and asked us to move so they could use our table… we had to help bus the tables and 20 minutes later they still had not seen a server. .then we heard another couple ask for a menu and the waitress said«as soon as I can find one»!! I will never return to this place.

They have the best Blueberry pancakes in town! Their pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes are a close second! We go all the time and it’s never a bad meal. Omelets are great too. Brenda is a breakfast magician.

Great little place to grab breakfast or lunch. Owner is always there cooking and she is very nice. It’s always good to support your local eatery and this is one of them for sure. Prices or low and portions are big and delicious!

An unassuming place, tucked away in a corner of a tiny strip mall, Brenda’s is a blast from the past. The décor, the seating, the food ANDTHEPRICES are seriously from another generation. If you are in need of a good olé fashioned eggs, pancakes and coffee, I suggest you head down here. Brenda is still on the grill.

Low tech and friendly. Excellent food cooked well. Lori and I have a regular tradition of eating breakfast on Sundays and sitting in the back corner and reading the Sunday paper. Not a pretentious place but great food at INCREDIBLY low prices. Breakfast for TWO for the price of ONE at one of those chain places.
