Stopped in to try this place on the 4th on July weekend. We were on a family vacation and came up to Mount Shasta to enjoy festivities and fireworks. After a not so good stay at our hotel and a few unplanned bumps in our vacation we were feeling a bit frustrated. Had a craving for some good pizza and happened to find this gem. From the minute we walked in it was a great place… CLEAN and tidy. They make the pizza right out in the open so you can see all the very fresh ingredients. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Our pizzas were absolutely delicious! They are generous with the topping and will do thick crust(if requested) even though their crust is already thick… we will definitely go back next time we head up that way… try it you won’t be disappointed!!!

This pizza place is a franchised location of the chain, Pizza Factory. It is an average sized restaurant with arcade games and a salad bar. The staff, which composes of mostly local teens, is friendly, but not overly professional. They move very slowly and don’t seem to realize that some people can’t have a 45 minute pit stop. The food itself is good, not great, but good! The pizza is decent, actually it’s pretty good for a chain, but I prefer the sandwiches(at any Pizza Factory). This place is relatively cheap, and they deliver for dinner. Oh, and according to the hours posted outside, they are open until 10 every night.

Great place to stop in Dunsmuir. The walls are covered in local pictures and awards for the owners. Pizza is good and the toppings are fresh. They put the perfect amount of cheese on the pizza. A little on the greasy side but that’s what makes it good right?

Best pizza parlor around, with an amazing staff and very wonderful owners, whom are almost always there. If you like meat, get the awesome sub! This sandwich is just that, AWESOME!!! Whether you love in the area, or just passing through, this is a must eat!

We stopped by on our road trip and we were glad we did. We got a medium pizza and it was delicious. The crust is nice and crispy and the toppings were fresh and generous. The owners were really nice and I liked the small town feel. It was a great experience and we would be happy to come back!

This is the best pizza you’ll find in the Shasta /Dunsmuir area. I came he to write about a fantastic experience that I had! I ordered a small pizza, nothing special. I got to talking with the owners and they were really nice people. About 20 minutes had passed after I had placed my order, and I still not had gotten mine. I am very patient with the food industry since I used to work in it. So I went up and asked what the status was on the pizza, and they, very embarrassed, said they accidentally threw the ticket out while I was talking with them, and continued on to other work. They quickly threw together a medium sized pizza for me, and gave me a salad while I was waiting on the pizza. They are very genuine people, and they apologized numerous times about it. I was not in a rush, so I really did not mind. The pizza was fantastic, and service was even better. I have gone back a few times and every time they make it a point to apologize about it, and make sure that it doesn’t happen again. So if you’re looking to come here, DOIT! I know there has been some bad words about teenagers who didn’t offer quality service, but if that’s what your expecting from them, you are expecting too much. On your visit expect quality food, and service! Food — 5 Stars Service — 5 Stars Cleanliness — 5 Stars

This is the best pizza restaurant in the area(Mount Shasta, Weed, Dunsmuir). Great thin crust pizza, great selection and toppings, nice little salad bar and great counter staff. Locate in downtown Dunsmuir, family owned, great homey feeling inside. For me it is worth the 12 mile round trip for a take out pizza.(I have a insulated pizza carrier, I bought just because of how great their pizza’s are. They do have local delivery in Dunsmuir.

On the way back from Ashland I was determined to drive though this town in search of highway 99 photos for a project I am working on, and of course by that time P and I were hungry. All the standard pizza topping choices were on the menu; you won’t find any fancy gourmet toppings for the pizzas. The lunch special included a salad bar. I didn’t even think to order thin crust like P did, perhaps it is by request, as I did not see it on the menu. I kept looking at her pizza and thought the crust looked really good, it was so nice and thin and crispy, The crust on my pizza was good, it wasn’t soggy and I found myself nibbling on the ends of the crust that I normally leave behind. When passing this way again I would be happy to stop here for lunch to enjoy the small town feeling and the tasty crust

Meh. The toppings slid right off of this pizza leaving a saucy pizza bread. And it was not cut all the way. wth… I get better tasting pizza for 5 bucks at little ceasars! Two stars for the good looking girls behind the counter ;)

We were really hungry and was searching for a place to eat on the way to Mt.Shasta. We accidentally stumbled on this place after the burger place which we initially went, which happens to be on the same road, was totally a cash only shop. We ordered a x-large veggie pizza. It was done in 15 min and every one liked it. It was amazing. They have a small room on the top with arcade games. most of the kids were playing. Except for us, other tables were filled by local familia on 4th of July week end.

We recently passed through here on the way to Oregon, and I was impressed. The staff were so friendly and accommodating! I think the food was actually just kind of average, but it was warm and filling, and they happily took our request for no cheese on half the pizza, extra olives, etc. Also, the restaurant has a very homey feel, with walls covered in pictures of community members/events, clippings from the local paper, horns of deer that locals had shot(eek!) and more. They even have a mini-arcade upstairs! The only true downside was that the bathrooms were tiny and kind of uncomfortable – but hey! Whatcha gonna do?

Small town food is always a little iffy but this is definitely worth the detour off of I-5. The cheese pizza for my veggy daughter was the best ever and I had a sandwich which was very delicious and unexpectedly toasted. The locals obviously choose to eat here also. The staff was not overly friendly but how many teenagers are? The bathrooms are not for the claustrophobic but overall I will stop by when driving through again.

Gary’s Pizza Factory is located in the heart of Dunsmuir, California — and for good reason! This is the best pizza in the area(with even better garlic cheese sticks)! This is where the locals congregate to watch sports, celebrate birthdays, and grab a quick bite. Their slogan, «We Toss ‘em, They’re Awesome» holds true at this quaint pizza joint.
