This had to be one of the worst eating experiences of my life. My family has eaten there many times and it their favorite in the Vail Valley. Tonight was not their best to say the least. Tonight’s service started out poor and then went downhill. We were seated and greeted promptly. The waitress took our drink order and returned somewhat later with the drinks and then took our food order. The margaritas were watery. For my 2nd drink, I ordered a beer and with a glass since the margarita was so bad. I never got the glass. When I asked about, the waitress said there were no clean glasses. On to the food. Since my son’s family eats there often, he ordered Chili Colorado as he usually does. He thought it was one of their worst efforts. I ordered beef enchiladas. I thought this was a safe item to order at a new restaurant for me. I have never had a bad enchilada but this was uneatable. The beef was overcooked and flavorless. It was filled with rice which should never be in an enchilada. Then to get this poor example of Mexican food we had to wait over 20 minutes after we placed the order to get the food but only after we flagged down our waitress asking about where our order was. Then as if this horrible experience was not enough, my daughter-in-law went to the washroom with our granddaughter. Both of the toilets were backed up and wouldn’t flush. My son went to the men’s room and found the floor drain backing up. Hopefully we will not be all sick in the morning.

Great food and great prices. Love the owner and employees. Always greeted with a smile and made to feel as if we’re in their own homes. A must place to stop and eat. I come here often.

Stopped going to Fiesta Jalisco over a year ago because food was mediocre at best. We found out it is under new ownership, so tried again. Pleasantly surprised! Food was fresh and the portions were big! Service was excellent too! We’ll definitely start going back!

We stopped here on our way home from Lake Powell as we were craving some good Mexican food after cooking out all week. When the salsa came out we were a little disappointed, but we are spoiled with home made salsa, so it’s not fair to judge other salsa’s. Thankfully when our food came, which was huge portions, everything was very good. We all over ate and left very stuffed and satisfied. It might become an annual stop on our way home from Powell

The food was terrible. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes from the time we ordered till the time food arrived at our table. It was not the food we had ordered. There was a large table before us and they had run out of everything we had ordered. Instead of the asking us what we wanted instead, the kitchen just sent out something else. My kids didn’t like what they got instead. I thought for sure that they would take care of some of our bill for all the time we waited and the fact that we didn’t get what we ordered. But no the manager refused to come to our table and talk to us. I have been a waitress for 15 years. I tried to be understanding and compassionate, but I lost my compassion when the manager refused to even talk to us. The waitress said he was very stressed and offered to pay for our bill out of her own pocket. As we were leaving we heard a group of people say they need to go find another restaurant, because they had sat there as long as we had only they never got their food.

I didn’t think it was a bad place to eat. I wasn’t happy with the«salsa» which was more like red soup with onion and cilantro chunks in it. But the food was pretty good and the flan was good, like homemade flan instead of that mass-made stuff. Its kinda hidden though; around the side of a liquer store? And the large sign, above the door, shown in the picture posted here in 2009, is either no longer there or wasnt lighted up at night, and there is no sign out by the road because we passed this place once and the only reason we found it when we turned around is because my gps said«turn right»… Regardless, once you find it, its a nice little mexican restaurant, aside from the«salsa soup».

Have been there several times, but the food and margaritas were terrible the last time we went. Will not go back. When we asked if there might be a new chef, we were told no… that it was the same chef. We ascertained that the chef may have been her husband. The margaritas were so salty, they were awful. It seemed as if when the rims were salted, that they were dipped in liquid, then the salt, but most of the salt fell into the drinks. Yuck. The Steak Picado had been cooked from scratch and was so fresh in times past, but this tasted like reheated jerky. When we asked if it had been reheated, again…“NO”. Not worth it.

The service here is great, the people stayed open after their closing time at 9pm to accommodate people coming in. Why close at 9 on Fridays though, I dunno? Feed here is no bueno tho, over salty(and I love salt), grey beans, soggy tostada with like an entire cup of sour cream dumped all over it, not good. I don’t know what Mexican food is typically like here in the mountains and I live in Arizona where quality Mexican food is plentiful, but this place needs chef Ramsey or Robert to do a kitchen impossible.

I was extremely satisfied with the service, cost, portions, and quality of the restaurant. The server was very accommodating of our party’s dietary requirements, and I found all of the food to be of great value. I ordered a combination plate with enchilada, chimichanga, and burrito. And the side of beans was very hefty and delicious. So I give 5 stars for the excellent experience. Thank you.

Good great food under $ 20 I wish that the food was not so american specific they make the food not spicy a bit bland to cater to the shall we say pigment challenged folks, so be aware of that

Good(not fantastic) food, clean comfy dining room, friendly and great staff. Seems silly to note, but the cleanest restrooms I have used in my stay in CO. Reccomended.

My wife and I really like this place. We go regularly and get drinks and food. We enjoy the fajita burrito, the bacon wrapped shrimp, the chili rellenos(soft), and the chili macho colorado burrito. Their tequilla selection is excellentl. The service is friendly and the free chips and salsa are a nice way to start off. We go once or twice a month. Enjoy!

Very good, not excellent but carne asada, margaritas, salsa were all above average. Ask for the hot salsa and the jalapenos if you like a little hotter dinner

Went for lunch — service was there but I do not think the waiter smiled one time.… Quesadilla was a One. .. I can definitely do a much better job at home! Soup was ok but could not recommend this restaurant. Sorry. ..

This place is not about authentic Mexican food because if it was, it is in trouble! The Chile Relleno I ordered was poorly coated with a cornflour mixture that was a cross between the real chile on the inside covered in a sweet pastry! The Chicken Enchilada was reheated to warm(the plate was hot and the food was warm!), and it had no flavor punch. Heck! The salsa for the chips had more punch! The bar area gets a star for looking like a serious bar for all sorts of drinks — - in the mountain village of Eagle, Colorado. Nice décor though! If you came to look like you were in a Mexican restaurant and wanted a postcard snapshot of yourself— This is the place to have that picture taken… Second Star!

After getting rained out of a camping trip(don’t ask) we found ourselves driving past Eagle on I-70. Usually, we don’t even slow down, but it was getting late and it had been a long day. We checked into a place to spend the night and asked where the best Mexican food could be found. Fiesta Jalisco was a few blocks away on the other side of the Interstate. It would be easy to drive past it; which would be very sad. Although it was Saturday night on a holiday weekend; it wasn’t busy. With some trepidation we sat down and ordered. Our waiter was aloof; but answered questions with authority and soon we both had a marg and a Carne Asada in front of us. The marg was made from scratch, without a mix and was very good. The Carne Asada was excellent, well prepared and tender. Although we were hungry enough to be happy with a PBR and beef jerky; this was a random travel surprise. Prices were reasonable, service was efficient, if not friendly, and the food both tasty and generous in portion. It’s nice to have another place in our road trip quiver!
