My wife and I went to Mama Teresa’s yesterday for dinner using a local flavor certificate. We were seated quickly in a very crowded and bustling restaurant. We ordered a lasagna dish and a eggplant parm dish. It took at least 15 minutes to get bread and water as service was slow and deliberate. We finally got our food which was very good especially the lasagna. The real problem here is the food prices which were very high especially since dinner did not even include a soup or salad. My wifes eggplant was around 18.00 and chicken parm was in the 20s. The portions were of ok size but NOT big enough to support these high Manhattan style prices. The price to value ratio is generally BELOW average for this type of restaurant. All in all this was a good experience and I will return back as long as I have discount certificates.

Noticeably better customer service, both on the phone as well as behind the counter. Someone’s been paying attention to their Unilocalers! We’ll done guys, keep up the good work!

Rude beyond belief. The counter help can barely speak English, that’s not their fault, but the attitudes are beyond astonishing, and that is their fault. Waited in line while being ignored by three of their employees, while they continually shouted. You’ll get better service anywhere else. Against my own advice, I tried it again. Same old shit. Go out of business already! Simply the WORST!!!

The food is good but the service is the worst. Every time we go here the staff is constantly asking«are you finished with that» and trying to clear the table to hustle you out. but tonight I guess we were taking too long too finish our meals because one guy(not our waiter or a bus boy) came over to our table and loudly and obnoxiously cleared dishes away — slamming and banging them around in a not so subtle attempt to get us to leave– even though one of us was still eating! Then the waitress came over and said they had a large party waiting and could we leave now?! The place was nowhere near busy — there were plenty of empty tables. Never again!

I would give this place a 5 star review but unfortunately the quality of their food isn’t as good as their customer service. Gerson the guy at the front cashier is a tool, doesn’t greet you, doesn’t even bother to look at what’s he’s charging you. Just snatches your card and swipes. Sorry to say guys but just because your a pizzeria doesn’t mean you act like a f*cking tool and treat your clients like they’re crap. Brush up on your service skills, you’ll be alright.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Michael the manager is exceptionally thoughtful and always greets the customers with a smile. The food is excellent and always consistent. A gem of a restaurant!

I have ordered from there several times for pickup and delivery. No one has EVER said thank you. Next time you’re in there, see if they say thank you. Food is standard Italian, nothing special. They don’t substitute on salads, it’s 2016 wake up Mama T.

Clean restaurant, food always on point, and service good. The one on old country road doesn’t have such good service as the one in east meadow. I’ll deff be back

My family and I placed an order for delivery at 6:01 pm and received it after 7:00 pm not only was the order over $ 90:00 dollars but the pizza was stone cold and under cooked, for a pizza that cost 27:00 I would think it should arrive steaming hot and properly cooked when I called to speak with the manager he preceeded to argue with me and tell me he cooked it himself and made a hundred pies and I was the only call he received, he offered to make me another pie and trade it for the under cooked pie and told me I should have ordered it well done needless to say last time for mama Teresa’s in East Meadow food bad especially the 27:00 pizza

Mama wasn’t home, but she left me some pizza. A great variety of pizza actually. Found me the elusive eggplant parm slice missing at most independent joints. This location was clean and conveniently located right on Hempstead Tpke, ½ mile west of the Meadowbrook Pkwy. There’s seating in front for a quick bite, or you can dine-in for their $ 10.95 lunch specials. Back to my slice. Ingredients were great. Fresh mozz, thinly sliced eggplant, and crispy crust. Would’ve loved it wetter… I would definitely come back for a rice ball and more pizza(and I have) despite the starchy staff and fellow patrons. Mama, this house just ain’t a home when you’re not here.

If I could give NO stars I would! We are regular delivery and eat in customers, sometimes 2x a week. Ordered delivery tonight, took close to 2 hrs. Daughter called to check status & girl who answered phone very short & too busy to be bothered. I called when food arrived cold, asked for owner or manager, girl asked if we were 4 different addresses then put me on hold again, man got on phone, never asked what order when I told him food was cold & some was missing. He suggested that I drive food back to store for him to make again. He asked me what temperature food was, how cold? And told me its not winter yet. Very rude!

The food is good, pizza is delicious but delivery service is. If you pick up, you can get hot food in 15 – 20 minutes, if they deliver you get cold food 1 hour later ! Still I recommend the restaurant, but you should dine in !

My husband and I came here with my in-laws because we always have to have New York style pizza when we visit New York. We have had the take out service from this place a few times in the past and it was usually pretty good. We sat t in the restaurant this time and I enjoyed my experience. The service was really good, the waiter was on top of things. I ordered a slice of the Crispino and a salad. The salad was pretty big and I could only eat about half of it. The slice of Crispino was delicious, just what I wanted in my thin crust, NY style pizza! Everyone else at my table seemed to enjoy the food as well. We got a nice bread basket when we first sat down and since we didn’t eat all of it, they were happy to pack it up for us to go. They do play the music a little too loud, however. And it’s popular music which I think is weird for an Italian restaurant.

Hey Mike. I appreciate your attention to the issues we have. My parents and I absolutely love Mama Theresa’s. They come often, all the way from Westchester, to enjoy get a meal from Garden City Park. I just wish they could find the East Meadow spot just as irresistible As for the lasagna, it was Tuesday April 28 and I thought my mom was exaggerating when she said it wasn’t hot so I tasted it. I couldn’t believe that it was not only cold but seemed quite bland. Anyway, you know we will continue to eat at M.T. and we’ll hope for better luck next time.

Decided to sit down for their 10.50 lunch special. After being seated hot bread was brought to our table and water was brought shortly after. You can pick two options from the lunch special menu from: paninis, soup, pizza, pasta and salad. I got the garden salad and buffalo chicken panini. The person I was with got the lentil soup and grilled chicken panini(sans cheese). The salad was super fresh and I liked how they brought the dressing on the side. I also tried the lentil soup and the serving size is pretty large for a pick two in my opinion ! Lentil soup was piping hot and really tasty, seasoned well. My buffalo chicken panini was good I really liked the fresh mozzarella and the buffalo flavor was right on I just wish maybe the chicken was a little thicker the sandwich was pretty thin. The place was very clean, and cozy. I loved that the tables each had clean and fully stocked containers of cheese, hot pepper flakes, garlic powder etc. Service was decent. I thought the lunch deal was worth it and I will definitely be back.

When we put our name on the wait list, the hostess told us it would be about 20 minutes which is not terrible considering the dining area was full. While we were waiting, I heard the hostess tell the next 10 parties that put their names on the wait list that it would be about a 20 minute wait. This is ridiculous because it’s not accurate. Accurate quote times would be nice. We were seated and almost when we were finished eating a couple that had walked in right after us was just being seated.(They had also been quoted 20 minutes and were sat at least 50 minutes later). The food was delicious and the waiter was very attentive and pleasant to speak to. My only complaint is they should have more accurate quote times. People won’t mind waiting a little extra if the food and service is great, but don’t lie to people. They will not be happy.

We’ve been going here for a few years now. The caesar salad is my favorite. My mom loves their pecan salad. They have great panini’s and pizza! Their penne a la vodka is great too. We went recently and they have a new lunch menu! It’s a pick two menu. I got a caesar salad and penne Alfredo. It was pretty delicious. The price is great!

How does one even begin to write about the perfect experience without salivating just thinking about the incredibly epic food at Mama Theresa’s. Seriously, either their food is covered with some addicting material or simply it truly is one of the best eateries for one to experience. From their fresh and incredibly true to experience pizza pies offering some amazing choices such as the Bakers Pie to their famous tossed salad pizza. Aside from their signature pies, their menu is so big and diverse, I think one would have to visit many times to give some options a try. The pizza slices are made to perfection as they have the perfect amount of softness that is accompanied by a great sauce recipe and the right amount of gooey delicious cheese. My absolute favorite thing from their menu are the rice balls that are so incredibly amazing stuffed with ground beef and veggies. My other must-have and recommendation are their paninis. From their grilled chicken to the Spicy Buffalo chicken panini topped with ranch is a must try. If you’re feeling a bit stepping it up, I tried and loved their Tramezzino Sandwich, which was grilled chicken accompanied by arugula, fresh mozzarella and fontina cheese, red peppers all covered by white truffle oil… Oh my. The staff is friendly, mixed with amazing italian food, how is this place not ranked nationally.
