Oxtails taste great I just recommend that you make sure your customers food is hot because my rice was room temperature

I love this place they buy the food they cook from extra supermarket so you can get food cheaper than other local spots. Ive been to a few others and they lack the vibes and seasoning that gealies has… Overall i adore this spot my parents have been eating here for over approx. a decade the mini is cheap and enough for 1 to catch up di belly… My fav is the ox tail runner up is the fried chicken with oxtail gravy mac n cheese and plaintains… You have to request the plaintains despite them being included in the price of the meal the fridge was broken for a few weeks so no mac n cheese or potatoe salad… I was disappointed… Sometimes the salad isnt fresh so i always opt for other sides like the mac n cheese cabbage or potate salad.

It is a really nice around the way joint in the hood. Food is yummy and cheap. Someone commented customer service is terrible here. I think in the hood, if your rude to staff, their rude right back. It’s not Houlis or Fridays where they report to someone. If you want to be unpleasant but also want a amazing service, don’t eat in the hood.
I’ve never had a problem, but then, I’m super nice.

Oxtails with rice and peas are ROCKIN!!! Great food but lousy customer service!!!

This was actually the first Jamaican spot GF took me to when we visited the area (before we moved here). It’s her number two fave. Well, I thought Gealie’s was good then and I think it’s good now. I don’t care for GF’s number one spot. I think Gealie’s is far better. We’re talking a two star difference here! Oxtails could be a bit softer, but I still likes. Everything from the jerk chicken to the rice to cabbage to the patties… all flavored well. Careful though, their curry chicken, although yummy, it’s chopped up oddly and leaves plenty of bone fragments in the rice and sauce. Kinda distracting when you’re just trying to chow down. It would also be nice if they were spicier. I couldn’t feel the spice so I added my own. GF said it used to be much spicier. I wonder why they downgraded the burn. I love the burn!
