After the heavenly pot of chai tea I had at my last visit to the Twig, I have to review this hometown spot a second time. Further, I ordered a piece of coconut cream pie to take home to my pie-loving husband. While I agree with some reviewers that the Twig’s coffee isn’t my favorite, I have to say that the chai IS the best I’ve ever had. No syrupy concentrate from a box here: it’s loose, spice-filled tea steeped in a Moroccan-style pot with one’s choice of various milks, and a bit of honey. A personal strainer is included. Perfect. And the pie I took home? Over the top wonderful – and we are picky about pie. One more thing: the cashier/server was so friendly with a great sense of humor. He sealed the deal. I’m going back there – tomorrow!

It is with great disappointment I have to say that espresso drinks have gone downhill here. Plus, I noticed that milk isn’t even organic. Guys, you can do better. You have in the past. Please, fix the lattes.

Friendly service, delicious pastries and the best in-house roasted coffee. Their baristas have mastered the art of foaming milk(and one in particular even does fabulous characters for my kids’ steamers!) Our most favorite café in Edmonds. Personal favorites are steel-cut oats and the morning glory muffins.

The secret to their crepes? Charge $ 10(or more) each, take 8 kitchen staff to wander aimlessly, waste 45 minutes of my time!

My husband and I are from out of town and we were looking for a good place for breakfast on our first morning in the area. We got the breakfast burrito and a cup of coffee. The burrito breakfast was excellent and I was surprisingly happy with the coffee(I don’t normally like drip coffee from most coffee shops). If you’re in the area, looking for a nice atmosphere and good breakfast food, definitely check this place out.

Very trendy café with a full food menu. Food portions are generous and well prepared. Plenty of seating inside and on the patio. Would defiantly visit again!

This place is cute and trendy, but I can’t say that the food or coffee is very good. The service actually doesn’t leave an impression — it’s just a quick transaction. There are a lot of better options around.

The crepes are delicious(chicken and salmon). The coffee is good. Has Cholula, tepatio, and Tabasco sauces for the food. I’m sure the rest of the menu is excellent, too. The restaurant itself looks very nice.

Took a bit to grow on me, the food is on the pricier side and their kitchen closes fairly early. However, after coming back a few times, I’ve found that the coffee is my favorite out of all the little shops in the area. The staff are always very friendly, even when they’re busy. Worth a try if you’re in the area.

Our big crochet and knit group has gone here as our place of choice every Friday for years, and I and my friends love to come here separately too. It is such a nice place for so many reasons. The owner Cindy is so attentive to her place and really cares about her customers having a good experience. She is always bringing in huge gorgeous seasonal fresh flower arrangements from her very own garden. She meticulously and tastefully decorates the café with beautiful classy touches. The ambience is comfortable, contemporary classy chic. And everyone enjoys the plentiful outdoor seating when the weather gets nice. The café-style food is always excellent. The crapes are to live for. The salads are made with ever-so-fresh, organic colorful baby greens. My friends have always been happy with what they’ve ordered. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I find plenty to drink there, being a particular fan of their huge variety of Italian sodas. My friends are all coffee drinkers and really love their coffee here which is ground and roasted on site in plain view. They specialize in talented individualized latte artwork on every cup, which is impressive. They use real, heavy ceramic cups too – no paper cups here! And anything from the dedicated on-site baker/pastry chef is nothing less than delectable. There is something to please everyone at the Red Twig – big Kudos to owner Cindy for all her hard work in making this such a great place!

Love this little cafè. It is personal and has the best coffee roasted in the store. The place is special enough to make birthdays special. And the variety caters to even the gluten free. The corn beef has with egg on top was very good and a favorite to family and friends is the Benedict with a 3 choices of meat. A good place to visit and fill your tummy and leave happy. Walking around the cute downtown Edmonds is just an added benefit. Good job Red Twig.

Modern rustic seaside brunch. Nice place to get a quick bakery item or coffee and casual brunch. Free parking and lots of natural light reflected on deep hardwood tones are some of the highlights here. It’s hard to choose what to eat because their selection is really vast. Cousin and I had the tuna melt and smoked salmon crêpe, both were almost a bit too rich and creamy, and the salad over-drenched with dressing, but overall the meal hit the spot. Their baked goods look amaze balls.

Nice interior and décor. Tried the turkey avocado panini. Hard to find/taste the avocado as there was way too much dijon mayo which overpowered the sandwich. The avocado may have been mashed in with it but I had expected slices. It did have nice thick slices of turkey breast. Would try again but with a different menu selection.

Guy taking orders was completely inept and borderline rude. I walked up and he asked what I wanted and I told him one order and he turns away to talk to someone else. Food was good, nothing too extraordinary but perfectly fine. Would return but if the service was the same I would be done.

Pretty lattes but the service was a bit cold and not as welcoming. The space of the coffee shop is very large and they have a really nice patio area. When we came in the atmosphere was really quiet inside which is nice to have a conversation in and not a loud noisy coffee shop. For food they didn’t seem to have a huge selection of «healthier» pastries. As for my latte, the coffee was a bit on the bitter side to me and wasn’t as smooth as I have had it at other places.

Went here this past recent Sunday for breakfast. PROS: Good coffee. CONS: EXPENSIVE for what you get for food. DH had their burrito and it came with just the burrito and about 5 slices pieces of highly seasoned potatoes(why oh why do places insist on seasoning potatoes? I don’t know). Sister and I each had the scrambled eggs(mine were stone cold underneath), about 10 slices of said potatoes, and one piece of toast. Also had three ham and corn bread muffins which were really just corn bread muffins. For the above, $ 40+. Which was ridiculous given the lack of amount of food. It took all of the 20 minutes it says you will wait for food because of their small kitchen even though not that many people were in the place having actual breakfast items. Other negatives are that this place has chosen to cram tables into a very small space making it almost impossible to move around, i.e., go get more of said good coffee, if you are trying to get by other people. Other negative yesterday when we were there is the large, long table in the middle of the room. It first had a nice family with well behaved children at it. Then another family arrives and sits at the other end of said table(uninvited, I might add) with unruly, ill behaved, running around, and screaming children. Where do people get off thinking that this is ok? That others in a restaurant(or any other public place for that matter) want to be subjected to that? If you cannot control your children and/or you have not taught them how to behave in public — keep them and yourselves home. Of course, establishments don’t do anything about this rudeness. All of us said — No need to go here again.

Red Twig is the best! My friend and I were instantly attracted to Red Twig and made the best decision eating there! The service was exceptionally friendly and the café had a very chill/happy vibe. I ordered the breakfast crêpe and omg it was amazing! I couldn’t stop eating it and devoured the whole thing. My friend ordered the eggs rancheros and enjoyed it, but also made a note of how delicious the crêpe was. Amazing food! Great service! Overall, highly recommended!

Absolutely one of the best coffee houses in Edmonds. The staff(I’m talking about you Nick) is very friendly and extremely talented with their tasty and artsy hot drinks. Check out the photos of Nick’s artistic design of my latte. Now let’s talk about their delectable treats. We have ordered the macaroons and also the beautiful cupcakes in the glass display. We are making our way through their bakery selections. Always fresh, always delicious. A wonderful, relaxing space to spend with your friends OR bringing your mate on a date OR enjoing company with yourself. A great locaton in the heart of downtown Edmonds.

Red Twig is the BEST! I usually order some sort of latte, but I’ve also tried their drip coffee, and it is all superb! Not only is the coffee great, but the baristas are really friendly and down to earth. I love Nick, he makes great coffee and conversation. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for great coffee in a cool environment!

RIght in the heart of downtown Edmonds, Red Twig is a charming little café. There’s dark wood décor with mirrors on the walls. Outdoor seating if you wish. You can see lot of sky from the large windows. Hipster servers and baristas with plaid shirts and full beards. Breakfast served til 1. Anti-Starbucks cup sleeve on the register. If I had only got coffee, this would’ve been 5 stars. I ordered a short mocha and it was one of the best mochas I’ve had. It was chocolatey without being overly sweet and the latte art(so pretty!) stayed intact until I was almost done with it! Even the server spilling a little bit on his walk to my table didn’t mar it. Unfortunately, my lunch was a different story. I ordered the tuna melt and it took at least 15 minutes before it came out. My coffee was out in about 5 – 7 minutes. Upon closer look, it wasn’t tuna at all– they had accidentally given me the turkey melt. I brought the food back to up the bar to talk to them. It turned out the cashier had accidentally charged me for a turkey panini instead of the tuna melt. Heartfelt apology aside, there was no offer to refund me the money they had charged for the turkey sandwich.(Granted, it would’ve been $ 1.25 before tax– but I probably could’ve gotten a pastry or cookie with it.) It was another 15 minutes before the tuna melt came out. I was pretty excited(i.e., hungry) to eat it, but sadly… it was pretty bland. The sandwich was warm, but there were no panini marks on top of the bread and no crunch when you bit into it. It didn’t seem like it was pepperjack cheese– it had no bite at all! The pico de gallo must have been mixed in with the tuna, but again, no bite and no flavor. The vinaigrette on the salad was really tasty but the shreds of romaine alongside big spinach leaves made for an awkward salad to eat. It was overpriced for what they served me. I would totally come back for the coffee. Maybe next time I’ll try a crêpe or a pastry.

Pricey. But the food is delicious and the service is good. A lot of young, hipster kids working here, but they are super friendly and work really hard. The coffee is superbly– made. The latte foam was just right. If you’re not a coffee fan, go with the chai. I just wish they had a little more floor space. It’s a popular place and pretty crowded.
