No problem with this hotel, clean and easy to find. Décor in room is unique and tons of channels on tv(probably the most of any hotel i have seen, directv). Will stay here again.

In my daughter’s wedding story, this was the wedding night hotel. Most wedding guests were at Holiday Inn Express, Quality Inn, or Hampton Inn, probably because they’re slightly less expensive options. So we thought a room at this place might put a little buffer between the newlyweds and everyone else. I know, you’re thinking it’s kind of strange for Dad to be booking and prepaying a room for the bride and groom. But Therese H. and I have had a few late-arrival fiascos, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to have a face-to-face conversation with a desk clerk about post-reception arrival time, and make sure the happy couple actually got their room, and remained happy. Post-wedding-reception happiness is a good night’s sleep, as most of you who have been through such a day may attest. After all that build-up to the big event, and a full day of exercising your smiling muscles, vocal chords, and dancing skills, all you really want to do at the end is rest! They did.

My stay here was quite pleasant, if a little odd. This is an older hotel, and someone’s idea of upgrading/modernizing was somewhat askew. As I entered my room, all looked normal — fairly small bathroom with toilet and shower to the left, large well-lit vanity to the right. Queen size bed straight ahead of me had a «bedspread» and two bolsters resting on the bed pillows, which were covered in crisp white cases. I have a personal thing against bedspreads and bolsters in hotels. There’s no way to be sure they’ve been cleaned recently, if at all, and there’s usually nowhere to put them but the floor. I took mine off and left them on the easy chair nearby — the bed linens themselves were fine. Window opened easily, a definite plus. Microwave and fridge both worked, desk was comfortable, free Wifi with no problems. The oddity came when I turned around and saw a gigantic hot tub on the other side of the room — no curtain across it for privacy, and really, no reason for it to be there. All I could think of was that I’d rather have had a bathroom that size, with a decent-sized shower stall, than a hot tub of questionable cleanliness that stuck out like a sore thumb. I’m assuming whoever«modernized» this hotel thought saying«and suites» would be justified by the addition of hot tub, microwave, and fridge. Very odd. The staff were extremely friendly, the cleaning staff very accomodating. I enjoyed the personal touches in the lobby(real cups for the coffee and tea, which apparently they buy at yard sales around the area) and found my room clean, fresh-smelling and pleasant enough — but if I were advising them, I’d strongly suggest losing the«bed spread» and throwing out the bolsters.
