Carne asada fries are good but they’re stingy with the carne asada. Salsa habanero is on point but once again, you get a small amount of meat

It’s located by the El Cajon dmv kind of. We got the carne Asada fries which were done fresh and actually very tasty. The portion was huge for $ 8 and change. The fries were freshly cooked and we asked for extra guac which had a nice dose of pepper and lime I think. Overall the fries were big for the price and super tasty and fresh. 5 stars good score. Cheap but quality food here guys can’t go wrong. And the salsa was bomb lots of flavor. Some places sacrifice flavor for price but not here. Located next door to a bar too.

This place has amazing food and is pretty inexpensive. They also have a really great habanero hot sauce. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because last time I went the hot sauce was just a little to salty for me. However, my boyfriend loved it!

This is one of the best taco shops in El Cajon. Such a friendly atmosphere the orange paint and décor reminds of taco shops in TJ. The food is really good and the habanero hit sauce is the hottest of hot sauces.

The carne asada was beyond bad. We had to throw the burrito away. The meat was way over salted. Maybe it was a random mistake. But I have never eaten carne that terrible. Sorry to be so harsh, but it was the worst I have ever had.

They have a pretty friendly staff and awesome beef tacos. The hidden taco shops always pay off to give them a look, try this. You won’t be dissapointed

I stumbled on Cetina’s somewhat on accident, while looking for a restaurant which used to be there. It turned out to be great. I had a fish taco, a burrito, and a street style taco(I think they call them Tijuana tacos). The fish taco was nothing special(actually, I think most fish tacos are nothing special), but the burritos and the street tacos were absolutely delicious. They are generous with guac, the meat is amazing, and they are cheap enough. I don’t know when I’ll be in this part of town again, but I’ll definately visit Cetina’s if I am back.

Didn’t think the food was gonna be that great but I thought wrong! I walked in and the place was completely empty. There was only one man working both the register and kitchen. I ordered the $ 1TJ tacos(Mondays & Wednesdays only). They were sooo delicious! Try out this hole in the wall place. It’s right next door to 7 eleven.

Great place for fresh food made fast. Guacamole always seems fresh, not like other places where the guac tastes like wet drywall. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu. They have big portions and it’s cheap. Even the shrimp platters are good. Shrimp are not overcooked. It’s all good. The salsa bar has a habanero salsa, super spicy and delicious. I eat here about once a week. The only complains I have is that the water doesn’t taste filtered from the soda fountain. The menudo seems a little unflavored. Overall the best place to have Mexican fast food in El Cajon.

my favorite taco shop currently. the staff is always nice and the food comes out FAST quit messing around with the shenanigans at yellow shack or the goofing off at the barrel Cetinas is tr00 as heck and the food is always good! huge portions, tasty burritos and the potato rolled tacos are a nice change of pace. the beans are lard free which is a huge plus as well.

I received a mailer that this place had recently opened. They had a special that included 2 fish tacos with rice and re-fried beans for $ 3.99, so I decided to give it a try.( ) The fish tacos were okay. The fish was crispy and the Mexican crème was light and flavorful,( ) but the fish tacos desperately needed double corn tortillas, because they were difficult to eat, and they quickly fell apart. My biggest disappointment however were the two side. The re-fried beans were bland and needed some seasoning. Salt would of made a big difference. The rice was way over cooked and mushy in some areas.( ) The flavor was weak, and it too needed seasoning. Honestly, it tasted and the texture reminded me of rice, that had been sitting around a while being kept warm. All that revolving moisture simply soften the rice and drained its flavor. They have only been opened for 3 weeks, so they certainly have time to make some improvements and changes. They have T.J. style tacos daily, but on Monday’s and Wednesday they have them for $ 1 a piece. On the other days they are still only $ 1.25. They have a small salsa bar.( ) I tried the green salsa and it was okay and a little watery.( ) The red salsa was very good and hot. It had that nice smokey robust flavor.( ) The habanero salsa I did not touch. I was not brave enough.( ) The service was good and the place is very simple. There is a bar next door. In fact, there is a door right in the place that leads to it. Interesting…
