This place has to be the best Mexican food in El Cajon everything u order has a homemade flavor. U can taste the love feels like grandmas cooking.

Fuck this place! In all of my years doing restaurant and hospitality, I have never seen a place make you take food after you tell them that you are allergic to it! They didn’t even offer to make a anther one. Cecelio or whatever the dude at the register’s name is just told me its paid for, it’s mine!

Really reasonably priced authentic mexican food. Huge plates at unbelievable prices!

Every time I visit El Cajon for the Wednesday night «Cruise Night» to see all the outstanding old cars, hot rods, rat rods and car projects, I always go to this lovely Mexican restaurant for dinner.
It’s family owned, delicious fresh food, very cold beer and quite reasonable prices. Everyone who works here has been friendly and kind to me. It’s always a pleasure and a relaxing break from viewing all the cars. I want to say that this has become one of my favorite choices for Mexican food in all of San Diego. Together with the car show, it’s a perfect mid week afternoon that everyone can enjoy.
Life is sweet, isn’t it?

The food was delicious. Very clean and they cater to your request. Authentic Mexican food!

The food is excellent. You can create your own burrito. The menu has daily specials as well as old faves. Service is great. All are friendly. You order at the counter but they bring it out to you. Ambiance is cool. Simple, but very colorful and pleasant. Good Mexican beers. Plenty of seating. Right on Main St where the car shows are on Wednesday.

This was like stopping by my moms house. And my mom could cook. I had a nopalito breakfast burrito. Scrambled eggs with nopales and salsa fresca cooked in with it. Tiny bit of cheese to my request. Delicious. Delicate. Light. And except for the delicious perfect flour tortilla pretty darn healthy.
It’s spacious inside and makes it look like business is slow but don’t be fooled. Enter. They also make your Mexican style personal creation burrito. Check out pic.

Love the spaciousness of this place. it is clearly family run. Every time I come in here, the staff are friendly and the food is EXCELLENT. They have beer too. Salsa is excellent. I’ve had tacos, carnitas and the caldo here. Consistently awesome.

My new found love! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, it’s all just too darn good. But my favorites are the pozole and shrimp diabla burrito!

Great salsa, fresh chips (not from a Costco bag), and seriously the best carne asada burritos this side of the border.
The staff are friendly; they treat you like family and get to know your name. The facilities are clean, the walls are a delightful orange color, and there is plenty of seating.
Even though it’s downtown El Cajon, I’ve always been able to find parking. The only minor negative thing is, they close at 3 on the weekends; but I suppose they do need to spend time with family at some point.
Highly recommend.

The place is big and roomy. It did get busy at lunch and they have really good food, however, Arturo please stop scheduling fake appointments with me when you know your business is going to be closed and you’re not going to be there, it’s disrespectful to me and my time, rude! Us Consulting merchant services people are here to help you… help you make more profit, not destroy your business, your too new-​we need to protect you from high fees. You have a good thing going on. Keep up the good work, but sorry the bridge got burned when you wasted my time, and I drive 35 mikes R/​T, TWICE! By the way, my Carne Asada quesadilla was fantastic, and Thanks for the chips & salsa. Good Luck

My husband got the menudo and I got the machaca plate. They were both very good. The salsa is so good. The place is clean, and the service was excellent. Not too many restaurants with friendly staff anymore. Two thumbs up

Been here like 5 times. Every time the staff is super friendly and food is very good. It’s too bad it’s mostly empty whenever we come. I hope they can survive.

Stopped in for a quick bite during a 30 min lunch break. Employees were extremely friendly-​even the mama cook in the back. and the service was quick. I stared at the menu for a bit and said I have no idea what I want and the main man (wish I knew his name.) was already ready with suggestions. I’m full and happy now.

I went there after my childrens dentist appointment fell in love with food prices and customer service!
Went back following day so my fiancé can have a try he fell in love with breakfast Huevos rancheros. I have found a new spot to frequent with my family absolutely good!
Caldo de res is bomb and carne asada fries soo good!

I had breakfast here one morning waiting for a meeting. The food is pretty good. the restaurant is spacious with a mixture of booths and tables. The service is good, staff friendly. Breakfast was good and it arrived hot and pretty quickly. If I am in the area, this a nice sit down Mexican restaurant.

This place is located in the heart of El Cajon on Main Street.
I had a pretty good ham, potato, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito and some good Mexican coffee for breakfast. The burrito was only $ 3.80 and the coffee was $ 2.00.
The breakfast burrito was simple but good. (
) The ham and potatoes were well cooked and uniform. The scrambled eggs need a little seasoning and the cheese was fine. The tortilla it all came wrapped in was very good and really long. (

The coffee was a nice surprise. (
) They put a touch of cinnamon in the coffee which gave it a nice flavor. I just wish the overall coffee was a bit stronger.
The place was clean and the service very nice. This place will not blow you out of the water, but good food and good prices will go a long way.
