Oddly enough I had the same problem Tanya mentioned where the cashier led us astray and got us to order pork al pastor instead of pork adobado one time. Still, it’s good value with an excellent salsa bar, delicious tacos, and clean bright environment. We get food here frequently, avoid the fish taco.

3.5 stars… I have this for lunch at least once every time I visit El Paso, and it never gets old. Sirloin tacos are my favorite, but I have tried them all, and all are good. Served with mild green sauce, hot red sauce, pico, and guac… this is a meal! I’ve never stepped into a restaurant so I cannot comment on the ambiance, but fast food prices apply. For fast food tacos this makes the list!

A staple in Juarez for a long time but now they have locations in EP. I remember this place as a kid but man it has changed quite a bit or it would be 5 stars. Turned into more of chain where they offer French fries and chocolate cake(wwhhhaattt?). They also got more expensive since they are in the states. Used to be like $ 1.50 per taco but now they come in larger orders for like $ 8. Still the fresh tortillas are amazing, the carne asada is really on point, and they still have the same great toppings bar. Great for a quick bite and good tacos

We have been to this location once before, this time we had a party of 8 and ordered 1lb of chicken and 1 lb of bistek which feeds about 8. I was surprised how fast the order was out, I expected to wait about 20 min, not this time it was quick, the meats were seasoned well and not dry. I don’t like the fact that you don’t get the option of having sliced avocado, but I can live with it. The staff was friendly and courteous.

I LOVE this place. I get regular cravings and have to have it. Its quick, affordable, delicious, and has a great menu. I always get the Al Pastor plate, its amazing. The salsa bar is no joke. Everything on it is awesome, along with their complimentary chips. This place is always on my «go-to» list while in El Paso. Try it, you wont regret it.

This is my go-to spot whenever I come back to El Paso. I get tacos adobados with lots of pickled red onions, and the sides are great as well. I’m always looking for places with tacos as good and simple as Taco Tote’s, and I have yet to find one. ¡Ta’ carote! but always worth it.

Great salsa bar. The best fast food taco chain I have ever visited. That was a bold move getting rid of the computerized soda fountain and replacing it with those dime a dozen models. Peach mello yello is just not available anywhere you go. Made the place special.

We ordered the family meal and it was enough to feed four adults. The chips are a little on the hard side but good. Very clean and the salsa bar was awesome! Those handmade tortillas were bomb!

Very reasonable and decent Mexican restaurant for someone looking for a quick bite to eat. I have been to the Taco Torte off of I-10, far East and West side. The restaurants are very similar and quality is good.

Just on customer service, this place is awful. I recommend replacing whomever was on the register tonight. She was plain rude and made the experience awful.

Alot of dips for the tortilla chips. The top sirloin questadila is good. the super questadila is great for sharing with people. The tortilla chips are not salty which is good. Authentic Mexican resteraunt better than Taco Bell. Beware the mild dips since they are still spicy.

When I tell my gringo friends about Mexican food, I always make sure to praise the goodness that is El Taco Tote. It is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants. The tortillas are hand made that are as good as my grandmother’s, the meat is fantastic, and the salsa bar is great. There are not enough restaurants like El Taco Tote, and that is a tragedy in and of itself. People not native to El Paso need to try El Taco Tote simply because it is the epitome of great tacos.

Truly love all the food here! Beef has great taste. The only improvement is on their drive thru service– slow. Two thumbs up for TacoTote

This(local?) chain serves some pretty authentic mexican food, with a nice salsa bar. Nice and close to the hotels on Remcon Circle, with a pretty large seating area. I think many people stop here on their way down to Juarez or back. The achiote pork was supurb.

There is a section of my heart(about ¼ of it) reserved strictly for El Taco Tote. I never have an issue with consistency or staff. Or anything for that matter, but I’d heard stories about this one. I was forewarned and I laughed in their faces. I knew what I wanted when I went in(the pork adobado), but my friend said, «Why don’t you get the pork al pastor?» So I explain my reasoning behind my order and while I did the cashier interjected, «They’re the same thing!» LIES! LIES! ALLLIES! If they were the same thing, they’d have the same name… also I’ve had both and they are not the same. But whatevs. The food came pretty quick, but wasn’t the same as the Eastside, Northeast, or even Juarez locations. And a tad overcooked. The salsa bar and chips were satisfactory. And overall the place was pretty clean. This ETT is okay just not the best one I’ve been to.

Clean eating area. Clean restrooms. Food is flavorful and you get a choice of corn or flour tortilla for the tacos. Meat is well seasoned. Two to three tacos is filling for a meal. Nachos have the canned cheese so you may be happier in ordering different tacos and just grab some chips with it. The meat is well cut with minimal gristle. But some is left on for flavor. They have a salsa bar which is well maintained. Soda fountain is one of the new screen touch Coke machines so you have a wide variety. It is self serve for sodas and salsa and chips. Food is brought to your table once prepared. Would recommend.

I’m sorry, but I have to update my review, laugh and question the sanity of the person who said Taco Tote looks like Taco Bueno. This is an AUTHENTIC high quality taco place. if you’re expecting anything other than deliciously seasoned meat inside a fresh made tortilla, DON’T EATHERE. If you’re a gringo with bland taste buds and you want taco bell style tacos, DON’T EATHERE. If rice and beans are important part of your mexican meal experience, DON’T EATHERE. This is undeniably THEBEST taco chain in north america. I’m a mexican from mexico and I approve this eatery.

Great place to come for some authentic and cheap Mexican food. This business started in Mexico and now has franchises North of the border. Their slogan is «We don’t build a better taco– you do!» and with their awesome salsa bar, it’s totally true. Their tacos and burritos are bare bones– meat, cheese, beans, but then you really make it tasty with their wide variety of salsas, fresh veggies, chips, and limes at the salsa bar. Free chips come with every purchase. They do a great job with customer service and keeping the whole restaurant clean. It’s super easy to eat here on a budget and as a vegetarian, I love coming here and getting a great balanced meal with lots of protein, dairy and veggies. Also — the freshly made tortillas are amazing! All for under $ 6– can’t beat it.
