The service and menu are top notch. I recommend the Rib Eye steak and their chocolate lava cake for desert. You’ll be satisfied!

Amazing staff, great food, gracious owner. While having dinner on a packed friday night the owner and staff treated us like family. The food was delicious, the combination of the food quality and the staff will make a lifelong customer out of my family and myself. Thank you Dave, Silvia, Monica & and a young woman busser(whose name I didnt get) you all made our holiday season.

I miss this place. I moved out of ELP25 years ago, BUT every time I visit I make sure to get my «fajita burger«fix! I always say I’m going try something different but I’m super loyal to the fajita burger. I’ll be returning on my next visit. Hopefully soon

This was an ok restaurant. I say that just because of what I ordered and perhaps if I had a sit-down full on steak dinner I might give it one extra star. I ordered the prime rib sandwich and found the bread to be very soggy. It basically fell apart and was not really all that great. YMMV — on a positive note the staff were very attentive and the overall atmosphere was good

The steak burger was awesome. The only thing that prevented 5 stars was the beef ribs. They were way too salty. But overall I was very pleased with the service and the speed the food came out.

I gave this place 5 stars! They could have been a little more organized with the seating and with the back being empty and the front being crowded but… hey. My food was so good! Hugo was a great waiter, we didn’t have to ask if we wanted refills and he was on point with asking how things were going. The young lady who brought our food gave us an inside tip which was awesome! My burger was so good. I hate that I love it so much that it is gluttony. My inner fatty wants to always eat the whole thing because it’s so so so good! Plain old steak burger with no mayo or ketchup, it really is that good! The steak was really good to! Love this place. Never disappoints! Come here often and always forget to Unilocal! Thanks guys! Sorry Hugo for being ready to order and rushing the dinner. Great job! Btw: what a nice gesture to allow that man to sell his things. I wonder if you allow it for free? If so, very honorable! God Bless

I wonder how the El Paso county’s jail meals would fare against this crap I paid for. I guess I could become a public nuisance and try to get arrested to find out. Probably beats standing in line with money in hand or maybe the most important thing here is the cook should be locked up. I ordered the hot roast beef open sandwich. I don’t even want to know what the mashed potatoes used to be before they got to the plate. And the gravy wasn’t far behind. My spoiled chihuahua at home gave this dinner two paws down.

One word: Inedible. The star was for the quick and friendly service. Beef ribs were dry and devoid of taste. Cole slaw = shredded cabbage, that’s it. If it weren’t for the tons of chili powder, beans would have no taste. Rolls stale. How do you eff up mashed potatoes? Cover ‘em with gravy that tastes like medicine. I’ll usually eat anything and give 3 stars, but this was beyond bad.

Absolutely stay away from this place! Food was terrible. The steak was overseasoned and burned, the burger was just some cold patty put on a bun that you’d buy at wal mart, and the chicken strips were cold and nasty. Not to mention, it was almost an hour wait. Horrid place… go elsewhere

Best place to get a steak in El Paso! I always get the ribeye and it never has failed me, it’s super juicy and Cooked just right! The coleslaw is very good too. The burger are some of the juiciest in El Paso! Love the fries also! Just everything here is great! Don’t believe the bad service reviews, never had bad service here ever! And the price for the steaks and food is just right for the size!

On 1 Oct 2013 I ordered the Tenderloin Medallion plate as I always do. The sauce had a heavy salty taste to it. I couldn’t finish it. I left and at home a entered my complaint on their site. To date, I haven’t received a response. Check #82751. The waitress seemed a bit irritated. I think she served me before and didn’t receive a tip as her attitude was very poor. I DON’T tip if the service isn’t up to par. I eat out very often and frequent this place once to twice a month. I WON’T be coming back and will relay my experiences to my customers. 17 Nov 2013 — STILLNORESPONSE… Went on their site and complained — I guess they JUSTDON’T CARE…

0 stars from this former food service professional…10 minutes after being seated, table of 1 mind you, still no server to take a drink order!!! You can have the best food in the world, but with out at LEAST decent service, your business can go to hell! That is all.

Bad service I can overlook. Bad food is unforgivable. My husband and I were craving a steak, didn’t want to drive 45 minutes out of our way, and it was a special occasion, so we wanted to eat out rather than cook our own. I am wary about El Paso food reviews. You kind of have to proceed cautiously in a city that votes PFChangs as the best Chinese restaurant.(Then again, it probably is?) But, after about an hour of e-research, this seemed like the next best thing to Cattleman’s. We thought, «How hard can it be to screw up a steak?» They carted our food out on these grey plastic roller tables — the same kind that bus boys use to collect dirty dishes. Not a big deal initially, except for the meal that was to follow… His porterhouse was a straight up bottom-rung cut of meat. It was infiltrated with fat and grizzle. Now, I can appreciate a good end of grizzle, fat, tendon, whatever. I don’t think it’s gross. It is flavorful and tasty in moderation. But 25−30% of the cut is unacceptable. He ordered it medium-rare, and it came purple and cool(very rare.) It was a slap in the face to pay $ 27 for it. My ribeye was cooked well and had good flavor. It was a notch above what I’d expect to find at an Applebee’s. $ 22 was a marginally acceptable price to pay, considering you’d pay $ 20 for a saline-infused steak at Applebee’s. However, I have been to many a steakhouse where I received a much better flavored and much better cut steak, with gourmet veggies and sides for a similar price. Our caesar salads came out as a bed of lettuce with two styrofoam cups accompanying it: one had industrial grade parmesan cheese in it, the other was filled with straight up vegetable oil. What!!! Giggling, we gave it a chance and mixed our«salads.» It was disgusting. Our malbecs were of lesser quality than your typical crap table wine. At $ 7 a glass, this is a heftier charge than most chain restaurants, and at least there they have standards. General atmosphere added insult to injury. We were greeted by dozens of screaming children every which way, running amok. El Paso, please get a hold of your kids. The way the tables are set up makes you feel like you are always in the middle of someone’s walking path as you dine. The tables are too wide and you feel like you are 5 feet away from your dining partner. The knives were NOT steak knives, and the few serrations they had were completely dull. We both struggled to cut our meat, especially my husband, who was cutting through a lot of tendon and miscellaneous types of meat in his steak. The service was poor. Our waiter was unprofessional, unattentive, and we felt rushed out. A final note on something that is potentially concerning: The tables, seats, and menus were all STICKY. Like, not just a little sticky, but straight up sticking to my skin as I removed my hands from them — sticky. Gross. We left $ 90 poorer, nauseous, and further disenchanted with El Paso dining. There are a small handful of actual gem establishments in El Paso, but this is a long shot from even being an acceptable average meal. The chain restaurants are a far better choice. And, we are officially of the opinion that the only options for steak in El Paso are Cattleman’s, or DIY.

Meh, slow service, okay food, doesn’t fit the«bid». Seems like it’s trying to be a roadhouse, but not quite. Check out the giant rat traps by the gas meters.

The seasoning on the filet mignon was good and the char was pleasantly consistent across the entire steak. However, for a filet, the meat appeared stringy in sections while being sliced. The beer-battered shrimp were equal to the steak each of the six was equally delicious. I skipped the coleslaw and beans, but the baked potato was a low-note in the meal – avoid asking for bacon on yours, it was excessively crunchy and did not taste good. The décor and ambience is unassuming, a very casual restaurant. DInner is wheeled out on plastic carts. Service was not very attentive on my visit. Value per dollar spent looked good for burgers, but could be better for entrees.

Excellent ribeye. Great service. Was looking for a place with some good eats while in El Paso and Unilocal steered me in the right direction. The reviews said the ribeye was good, so that’s what I ordered. Fantastic! I also liked the coleslaw. The baked beans were just eh. Nice sized baked potato. A little pricy, but the portion was big enough to share between two people so it worked out. Service was good. I liked the casual Americana feel to the place — very rustic and woodsy. Thanks Unilocal
