Its hard looking for an artist you trust to create or put something permanent on your skin, I’m no exception to that, I trust no one except for Alyssa. Not only is she talented with the needle and being able to bring to life what you want on your body, but she is super down to earth, professional, courteous, easy to talk with and bounce ideas off of. She really caters to her clients needs and makes sure you leave happy. You’ll need to stop in and see her work first hand to truly appreciate what she can do. She is versatile, does so many styles but her realism is top notch. Highly recommend checking her work out at the Gateway East location. You have a GPS don’t be lazy look it up. Ask for Alyssa.

I’ve gotten tattooed here several times as well as the other location on zaragoza and I have no complaints at all… When I walked into the tattoo shop I felt welcomed… I guess some people like the ones below just don’t understand that there is a front man for a reason. The artist isn’t just going to stop what he’s doing just to go talk to everyone that comes in looking for them. I mean come on, that should show some level of professionalism within itself. They use the front guy to mediate between the two… and as far as them talking about a girl that had walked into the shop. idk what to say about that when your calling the guy a sawed-off shop monkey. you seem like the rude one to me. but anyways just had to comment on what I had read below. I recommend this shop for all types of styles. just go in and look at the guys portfolios. I know I wont stop going there for a while.

This place continues to be the best tattoo shop around. I only go here for my tattoos. Myker, in my opinion, is one of the best artists there. He’s very polite, professional and friendly. So many people have complimented me on my sleeve and have gone to him for work. I will never trust another shop!

Is there some rule against acting professional when your job in life is to put permanent artwork on people’s bodies? My wife made an appointment five weeks before to make sure we got the artist(Fonzie) that was recommended to us by a friend. The tattoo I was getting was a super simple banner with text in it. I figured he could knock it out of the park. I’ll never know, because when we got there, this sawed-off shop monkey intercepted me, really rudely inquired about what design I wanted. I asked him if he was«Fonzie,» and he just says«no, he’s busy tattooing someone,» like we didn’t just explain that we had made an appointment with that specific artist weeks ago. When I asked a question about a shading difference in the two examples I brought, he just says«So, which one do you want?» I was done dealing with this guy, so we just waited for Fonzie. Meanwhile, the short, rude guy casually starts explaining the design to one of the other artists in the shop so he can do the tattoo, not even attempting to address us and ask if we’d prefer to not wait for Fonzie(even though we had an APPOINTMENT). At this point, my wife just asked straight up «Is Fonzie not available today or what?» Then the short dude lost his attitude all of a sudden and started backpedaling«Oh, no, you guys want Fonzie? He should be done soon, you guys wanna come back in like 45 min?» Needless to say, we didn’t come back. In addition to how we were treated, the dudes in the shop were swearing and carrying on a sexual conversation about this 18 year old chick that had just left the shop, all right in front of my wife. We’re not freaking Mormans, but come on fellas. I thought I was back in the barracks. It all feeds into the whole lack of professionalism thing. Key points: Keep appointments and be pleasant to customers. Should be simple.

I got a tattoo by Fonz, and decided to bring my husband there to get a simple banner tattoo. We were told Fonz was unavailable for 5 weeks, so we made the appointment and patiently waited for 5 weeks. When we arrived, the guy at the front went in the back to tell Fonzie we had arrived and came back with a very annoyed look on his face, then called us to the counter to discuss the tattoo, he didn’t make eye contact and made sure we were aware we were not wanted there. I never heard of this guy and here I am discussing the tattoo with him. My husband showed him a couple banners, and asked his artistic opinion on which one would work. His reply? –So which one do you want?! We sat down, and the other tattooists proceeded to decide who could do it, in a very nonchalant way, without asking us if it was OK for someone else to do it. We made this appointment 5 weeks ago, why would we wait all this time to get there be treated badly and then just get an artist we know nothing about? Fonz did decent work, but this staff… thumbs down all the way. Never again.
