I went into this place and had a blast! The review above is right about the bartender but they recently changed staff and what difference it’s made. The first time I went in this spot the staff seemed as though they had their own agenda, now the customer service is on point, the food was great and no roaches! The few times I’ve been btw ive never seen any and the place is clean… It’s a dive bar that has a fam feeling so if your an uptight person who cant look past maybe the décor not being your taste you might like it… drinks are strong, kind of like cheers, food was hot and I’ve since gone several times… for sure a fan!

This place was just awful. First, the ambiance,… its dark. I bet its so you can’t see what you are about to eat. Other than a few chotchkies on the wall and a «outdoor style» looking bar, there’s nothing«bayou» about this place. The music is from a jukebox that the server was using to play spanish, rock, and hiphop music. I ordered a toasted almond to drink and the waitress/bartender had no clue what that was. We started with an appetizer(calamari). That was a let down. They were sticks, not circular rings and little octopocto looking things. They also were really greasy. Then we had the salad. I had the avocado with shrimp and a cilantro sauce. hmmmmm, since when did cilantro become dill. The dill dressing was good, and it was a healthy sized avocado that I received, but the tomato slices were shriveled up cherry tomatos, and the ice berg lettuce was just the hard white portions. I left 90% of the salad behind and the waitress said nothing about that. Then I had the catfish étouffée. It was one of those things where you take a bite and you know… don’t continue. I was trying to be polite and trying to give it a chance so I ate maybe 10% of this plate. The waitress never came by to ask how it was. My husband had the crayfish boil. I tasted it, and thought they tasted like what wet dog smells like. He ate approximately half, and then agreed, the taste was just off and he could not continue. The waitress never asked about his meal either. When the waitress did show up to see plates full but we were obviously done. She asked if we were done. We said yes. She asked if we wanted to go containers, I motioned no with a «that was really grody» look on my face. She quickly took our drinks(not our plates) away and got our check. We weren’t done drinking our drinks… It was waaaaaaay too expensive for the quality of the food and service. This is definitely a place I would never go back to or recommend to anyone that has tastebuds.
