Good food but pricey $$$$ fair service! There are better restaurants in El Paso not too expensive. Won’t be back !!!

I’d like to propose a toast: to The Kitchen at 150 Sunset(you guys couldn’t come up with a more exciting name? oh well, whatever). Here’s to you being awesome. How awesome, you say? Well. I honestly don’t mind the location, despite the fact that I practically have to take two connecting flights from my house on the east side just to get here. Despite the Pilgrimage, they managed to snag themselves a nice little cozy, easy to access corner spot. I decided to toast off this long awaited visit to the west side brunch kitchen with a glass of Mimosa. Although, I confess I did not get a second glass and eventually transitioned over to my classic fallback [coffee] because the Mimosa was actually less citrus-y than I expected. I expected it to taste more like the ones I thoroughly enjoyed back at the Brunch Club. Ah well. A minor let down, but not enough to spoil my breakfast. Oh, the coffee was exquisite, btw. My breakfast was pretty standard. Decided to play it safe with their house breakfast. Of course, since I find sausage absolutely revolting, I replaced that mess with crispy bacon. And although the bacon itself was probably thick enough to patch a hole in one of my son’s bike tires, they at least actually tasted like bacon and were fully cooked. The eggs were damn near perfect, the hash browns were fine, although slightly greasy. And the toast… I…I don’t get what the obsession is with multi-grain toast, but I don’t much care for it personally. The decorum is classic, yet contemporary. Though I must confess, their service got off to kind of a slow start. The best way I can describe Kitchen @ 150 is, like… when Crave Kitchen meets Cracker Barrel. I’d certainly return, provided I were close enough or felt like going on a fantastic voyage from my house. Besides, I already know what I’d like to try next. Their egg and cheese croissant looks delectable! I’m giving this place 4 extra thick slices of bacon out of 5.

Place has Beautiful landscape+ambiance, adult beverage was perfect(Arnold Palmer w/vodka), food was tasty and presentation is a sleek-clean look. Our table was next to a bird bath /water fall surrounded w flowers was totally gorgeous courteous staff also CONS:employees lack communication, food came out@diff. times;burger fixings were late which when delivered, burger was cold. I would recommend it but don’t go starving or expecting to be out quicklyDespite small issues I thought it was great some things can’t be avoided. I will def be going back again

Came here for brunch and it definitely lived up to the near 5 star rating. We were seated immediately on the outdoor patio and there was a nice breeze so it wasn’t too hot. We started with a carafe of the Pimm’s Punch, which was delicious and refreshing! The carafe is a great deal if you’re planning to order more than 2 drinks. For our entrees, I ordered the English muffin sandwich with a side order of bacon on the recommendation from our waitress. The sandwich came out without eggs but the server noticed before I did and immediately took it back to fix it. The sandwich was corrected and came out as a really large(and delicious) serving. The side order of bacon was a great touch too. My friend ordered the house breakfast and said it was prepared perfectly. Both orders came out quickly after we ordered which is usually always nice for a brunch! Service was prompt and attentive, and I always appreciate a server who can help point out his or her favorite entrees. I’d highly recommend coming in for brunch and am looking forward to returning!

Over priced, small portions, didn’t get a refill on my coffee or water. It gets three stars because it’s a change up from the chains

Beautiful place for breakfast/brunch centered among a blooming spring garden and nursery. The food was excellent! Our family had the Challah French toast, the Omelet, and the House Breakfast. The french toast was made of a thick, buttery, light bread, with huge berries, a berry gastrique, and cream. The omelet was filled with amazing turkey, white cheddar, and roasted green chile. The nutty, peppery, arugula side salad was perfect with the sweet poppyseed dressing. If you’re looking for a hearty, traditional breakfast, go for the House Breakfast. The hash browns were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and buttery inside, crispy bacon, great toast, and eggs.

Food was good however honestly the service is horrible. The servers need to be more detail oriented. Long wait for everything! Make sure you that if you go you are willing to spend at least 3 hours at the place.

We stopped in for breakfast on a beautiful Sunday morning. We sat on the patio near the water area. The scenery is lovely! Our food was delicious too. I had the turkey omelette with avocado. I would definitely order that again. My dad’s pancakes were my second favorite. Nicole our server was awesome and coffee was served in abundance.

Had brunch here last weekend and finally getting around to the review. I was really excited about brunch here and I must say it didn’t disappoint. I had the bacon pancakes and a Irish coffee, kept it simple. When a restaurant gets the basics right I am intrigued with the rest of their menu. I will be back to try the rest…

I’ve now eaten at The Kitchen at 150 Sunset several times in a variety of settings and can firmly say its one of the most unique places in El Paso. With a solid brunch offering(I’ve tried their green chili cheese sandwich and green chili burger), an excellent dinner menu(fried chicken sandwich is amazing), and a very impressive once a month Wine tasting meal(very expensive but a unique experience that was alot of fun). The service is typically very good. In regards to brunch, I highly recommend their made in house side of sausage. Their tomato bisque is a little thick for me but made an excellent dipping sauce for the sausage. The green chili grilled cheese was awesome but a little on the small side. Burger was pretty solid but you can find better at various burger places around town. I enjoyed their solid, if simply bloody mary(no fancy vegetable garnish which I’ll admit, kinda makes a difference for me). While brunch is solid, dinner is really where Kitchen shines. I’ll admit up front I have not had a normal dinner experience at Kitchen. My first experience with dinner was at a special Unilocal event where we got to try a variety of different food samples but then were able to order off the menu. As stated previously, I was a huge fan of their fried chicken. Kitchen offers a wine tasting event the last thursday of every month. This is a terrific date event if you are looking to impress. They move their tables around to form approximately 4 – 5 big tables. You dont get to pick your table so you are gonna be sharing your table with people you dont know. But i think thats kinda fun and didnt mind it. As you walk in(reservation only) they hand you a glass of champagne and tell you which table to go to(you can sit anywhere you want at table). You are then treated to 4 different dishes with paired wine. We discovered the Simi(california brand) that was pretty solid. The servers were generous the refills so über might not be a bad idea. The meal runs around $ 75 per person so its not cheap. But I really enjoyed the variety of specialty plates and hearing about different wines. For all the above reasons, Kitchen is a fantastic place. Its got a large beautiful dining hall that would be fanastic for special events(wedding receptions). And for those with a green thumb, its got a very nice little nursery. Oh, and it has a pretty cool garden and outdoor patio(which will be awesome in the spring).

The Kitchen at 150 Sunset is by far my favorite brunch spot in the city and always my first recommendation when anyone asks. 150 Sunset is unlike any other place I’ve ever been to and both their nursery and restaurant have become a staple in my routine. A lot has changed since my first review for them… new menu, hosts, wait staff, covered patio. K at 150 Sunset just keeps getting better and better. The covered patio is now completed and absolutely stunning. I had the privilege of seeing this patio at night and somehow it became even more gorgeous with the perfect amount of lighting and view to the pond out front. This is a review for the restaurant, but it’s worth noting that if you’d like some brilliant ideas for your backyard this is the place to go and you can also rent out the event space located in the same building which I promise is just as beautiful(and magical) as the rest of 150 Sunset. Because of their amazing setting and just-as-amazing food, this is the perfect place for a wedding reception or Christmas party and everything in between. Back to The Kitchen. Like I said, they now have hosts and a wait staff so no more ordering at the counter. This really seemed to help with the flow of things especially since they tend to be pretty packed on the weekends. And the staff is great. All very courteous and friendly. We just went this past weekend and had a wonderful waitress that was very attentive and took initiative multiple times during our visit(like bringing water to the table in addition to the drink I ordered… little things like that really set restaurants apart). My go-to has always been the Challah French Toast, it’s the best french toast I’ve ever had. It’s a thick cut of challah, topped with a house-made whipped cream, a berry reduction, and seasonal berries. Since their menu has been revamped with the addition appetizers and desserts, new menu items and the removal of a few, I wanted to try something new. The first thing that jumped out to me was the dates appetizer. Not only am I a fan of dates, I also enjoy pistachios and have a slight infatuation with goat cheese… which is exactly what the dates come stuffed with. The stuffed dates came on a bed of greens and I have to say it was absolutely perfect. I can already tell you this will be the first thing I order every time I’m here now. I was drawn to the Croque Madame. It comes with a small arugula salad. It all tied together very well and again was perfect. I’m pretty sure it was an open faced sandwich, but the slice was on the thicker side so ham and cheese to bread ratio was on point. K at 150 Sunset should be your first stop when looking for a good brunch spot. They’re now open every day of the week. The new menu is fantastic. The food is delicious. And the staff is as good as they come. Love, love, love the Kitchen at 150 Sunset! Now go get your mimosa on!

I can finally sit down and write a review since finals, because this place is great! This place is divided into 3 areas, so it’s fine if you get a bit confused on your first arrival. Lol. Cause I did. When you enter pass the gate you’ll see a garden/store, then a party area where festivities are held, and lastly you’ll come upon the restaurant itself. The scenery and landscape is simple and gorgeous. Great for casual get together to date night. In this case, I brought all my friends. :) The menu has change, but the waiters always ask if they are still able to serve the foods previously introduced. The interior is beautiful and it really does have a relaxing atmosphere. I wish we could’ve sat outside, but it was cold. Haha. Even their awesome coffee wouldn’t have kept me warm. I ordered their turkey sandwich and it was tasty! Good tasty and fresh. I’m not sure what sort of spread they used, but it was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their food. Our waiter always checked in on us and made sure we had a good stay. I’m sure I’ll be back during breakfast time due to their great comments on their menu items. Lovely place and people! Definitely give it a try.

Thanks Unilocal for an amazing night. This is my first Unilocal event and it is so cool that my fiancé and I attended. You get to socialize with people that shares the same passion for food and also you get to meet new friends :). This place is so beautiful, it’s a nursery, an event center and a restaurant. The food is very good and it has influences from many places. Definitely a cools place to brunch. I look forward to be here during the summer I have been in this place before the Unilocal event, and the food is so good. The bread that thy use for he subs is really amazing. I usually have regular 2 eggs breakfast and I’m never disappointed …

OYE @ Kitchen at 150 Sunset: awesome place! Very interesting restaurant with great ownership! Typically a breakfast and lunch only place, they also do landscaping, have a lovely garden and even a large, well decorated space for event hosting. The food is delicious and well prepared. Definitely a place I’ll be going back to again. Loved it and can’t wait to get more of that French toast! Mmmmm A must try spot on the west side for brunch.

This is quite possibly THE greatest place on Earth to eat breakfast! Well… maybe not on Earth, how about in this country? West of the Mississippi? Yeah, let’s go with that. However, before I continue with my slobbering love-fest of this place, let me preface. I was in El Paso for business, not pleasure, as if that’s possible? On that note, I’m sure El Paso has it’s charm… somewhere… but it would take a lot longer than the allotted time I had to find it. Nevertheless, since I had to be there, I made the best of it and sought out a nice place for breakfast. So with the kind help of El Paso’s Unilocal Ambassador, Tanya«Freckles» W., this establishment was recommended. And boy oh boy, what a recommendation it was. See how cool Unilocal is? Imagine you’re in Northern Ca., say Sonoma or Napa, in one of those quaint restaurants designed for the most distinguished of palates. One with a serene setting one might see in the garden of Versailles — France. Are you imagining this yet? Good, now open your eyes and voilà, you’re sitting outside in the garden area of The Kitchen at 150 Sunset eating breakfast. As the handsome young waiter Adona explained, the place has only been open for breakfast for about 6 months. It started out as a plant nursery, still is in fact, then a special events venue, i.e. weddings & so on, and now a restaurant serving some pretty damn good breakfast. I had the special of the day, which was steak & eggs with asparagus and a mashed potato croquette under a gravy/sauce. And wow, it was good! Who would even dream asparagus would be a good breakfast food? Well, the dreamer here aimed for the sky and achieved something special, that’s for certain. It’s not cheap, and it’s not fast, but it’s sooooo worth it! It’s very cool, but it doesn’t have that heir of snobbery. So everyone will feel comfortable here and LOVE the food. Now if the entrepreneur & restaurant Gods know what they’re doing, they’ll magically lift this establishment up and gently place it in Albuquerque where it belongs! Seriously, Albuquerque, why don’t we have a place like this?

Stumbled upon this place by accident on Unilocal so decided to try it for brunch. First impressions: I thought it was cute concept. A nursery on one side and a kitchen on the other. Looks organic. Reminds me of home. I like the patio area with the waterfall and it looks like they are expanding the patio. Good for dogs– yay! You order from the counter. Limited menu but good basics. I ordered their special for the day: egg white smoked salmon omelette. Came with a side of salad which was very fresh. I liked the touch of pistachios, baby heirloom tomatoes and currants. Not sure exactly what the dressing was. It was white and tangy but it blended well with the side salad. Egg white omelette was cooked perfectly but a little small in portion. It was perfect for me but for a normal person I think it would be small. The asparagus inside were cooked perfectly and the avocado was perfectly ripe. Hubby ordered their basic breakfast which came with 2 eggs, homemade sausage which my husband raved about. Hash brown looked perfectly cooked and was great according to my hubby and the toast are thick and great. At the end of his meal, he said he could eat another plate. Hah! He also ordered a stack of pancakes which looked fluffy. Hubby said they are great. Coffee was good but deff not Seattle standards. It wasn’t strong enough for me. Ordered a pastry with no name. According to chef, he just whipped it this morning. Had currants and apples on a flaky pastry shell. Very tasty! All on all, good experience, the décor is very organic and the vibe is cool. We’ll deff be back with the dogs!
