Loved this place! We just purchased a house nearby and stopped in for a late breakfast. Everything was great, from the friendly staff, Country ham skillet, to the ham and cheese omelette. Loved the family oriented menu which offered many choices but delivered on quality. Am looking forward to becoming a «regular»!

Love this place for comfort food & friendly staff. Had breakfast this am for 3rd time. It’s consistent. They have turkey bacon & sausage for those who want a somewhat healthier choice. Simple menu, no long waits, hot coffee, what’s not to like? Try it. The town people eat here & I like that.

Andy’s Pancake and Steakhouse is a nice diner to stop for a good meal. I generally prefer diners for breakfast. I have dined for breakfast and lunch. For this review I will focus on breakfast. The lunch was ok bi unremarkable. For the breakfast I ordered a short stack of pancakes with chocolate chips and strawberries. I was expecting the chocolate chips to be baked into the pancake, but they were simply placed on top. The flavor was still good. I also asked for a side of strawberries. The combination made for a great taste. The pancakes were properly fluffy and light. Overall the breakfast was very enjoyable and I would encourage others to try it. Do try the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of strawberries. It os an excellent combination.

Andy’s is a very unique restaurant that offers a great breakfast and dinner menu. This restaurant is located in Ehringhaus street in Elizabeth city just beside the post office. When you walk on you will be greeted by the waitresses and the owner of the restaurant when he is available. They will make you feel welcome throughout your dining experience and very eager to make sure you have always have what you need. The food is always hot and made to order. Highly recommend.

Very nice breakfast this morning. 1 biscuit with sausage gravy, side of over easy eggs 1 steak skillet with eggs, cheese, onions, potato. kitchen sink of breakfast. Good prices, friendly service, no complaints here. Refills given without asking us if we needed any. Waitress so cute talking to us about finishing high school and going on to college and wanting to join the Marines. Semper Fi to her and her future in the Marines.

The food is amazing. Best pancakes I’ve ever had. However, the wait staff is lack luster. They have no energy and act like they hate working there… kind of ruins the experience somewhat.

This restaurant deserves 0 stars. It is the worst restaurant in Elizabeth City. Overly priced food and the service was terrible.

The manager lady seated us and she was straight up rude. They should not put someone like that to greet the customers even if she is the manager. She served our water with attitude and just threw the straws on the table. Our waitress was better. The food is good. I recommend the french toast.

I like my breakfast. I like to have it whenever I want it. I can get it whenever and however I want it at Andy’s. And I think that the staff is great as well as the owner. My coworkers and I love to hit it up for lunch. We have even brought people there for business lunches and the quaint atmosphere helps everyone become at ease. I like to get my haircut at a place behind Andy’s and then get some takeout too!!!

I don’t know how to put this… It’s not a 4 star diner. When your bacon comes out floppy with a grayish brown tint, practically see through, it is not bacon. The pancakes were all right, but this is not the 4 stars I was expecting. It’s like Denny’s less intelligent country cousin. 2 stars because the service was good, but the food cannot deliver a 4 star experience.

Delicious, Outstanding and Yummy are just some of the words for this gem in Elizabeth City. Very nice local diner atmosphere great food, great service, good size portions and decent value for your dollar. Wife had a seafood platter which she enjoyed very much. I had the daily special prime rib it was yummy and done just right. This place is a definite must try on anybody’s list. You won’t leave hungry. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Place was dirty… Service was poor… had the blandest roast beef sandwich ever. And the décor… Just wow. There are better places in Elizabeth City to eat.

Daughter lives in Elizabeth City and so we are here several times a year. Whenever we are in town we stop for breakfast at Andy’s. The food is simply good and the service is normal North Caroline courteous and friendly. I try not to give five stars when I rate restaurants but Andy’s is better than a four. Try it, you’ll like it!

Great breakfast with a local vibe. Not a chain. Not an IHOP. Just a great simple breakfast prepared perfectly.

This is very much a mom and pop, no frills place. It looks like a lot of regulars frequent Andy’s which is why we stopped in. The food has to be good right? Well, not so much. I had breakfast here and had the create your own omelette with a full order of French toast that I shared with my mom. My omelette had onions, broccoli, tomatoes, and feta cheese. The omelette was overlooked and almost tasted like the fried patties you would find in pork egg foo young. The toast was soggy plain white bread and the side of grits were watery, lackluster, and unmemorable. My favorite item on the table was the French toast which consisted of three pieces of Texas toast cut into triangles. It is pretty hard to mess up French toast, so I think you need to take my positive remarks with a grain of salt on this one. In essence, The French toast was the best of the sub par items on our table. The hits kept on coming when our bill was calculated up front. Not sure if it was the owner or our waitress’, who wrote in utter chicken scratch, fault, but we were severely overcharged. After the owner made some rude comment about us being hungry today, I was thinking to myself, «No, asshat, we weren’t really hungry, you overcharged us»(excuse the language, but I was quite peeved and quite insulted at that point). I did not feel like debating the bill with him because I couldn’t even freakin’ read the bill and at that point I was disgusted and wanted out. Never again Andy’s!

Breakfast anytime is my kind of place as I like to eat a breakfast meal for dinner sometimes. I had eggs, home fries, sausage,& toast on this visit. The food was tasty but the home fires were cold and the sausage was a bit greasy. The coffee was fresh and good. They have a large menu and some of the meals my friends had looked good. Mine would have been a bit better if the fries were at least warm. I did take my napkin and absorbed some of the grease off the sausage.
