Doggit Hot Dogs

This is a hotdog joint primarily and that’s the first thing you need to realize. I like this place and they make a great hotdog and if you venture into some of their other items they aren’t bad either. A lot of the bad reviews were because of orders with errors and I have gone here in a group of 4 and we haven’t had any issues yet. They have specials available as well and they are a fair bargain for what you are getting and are comparable to the other restaurants nearby. I will say that the interior could use a good cleaning and update not because its unsanitary but a lot of the stuff looks like it has been there too long and it could use some new items. They do have a frequent flyer type card that gets you a free meal.
Now the best part about this place — the cinnamon milkshake, I know its nothing mind blowing and its just cinnamon in a regular milkshake but these taste amazing and on a hot day this is the thing you want to cool you down and they taste amazing.

The Gyro was burned on one side and uncooked on the other. It was so hard to eat we left most of it. The pita looked uncooked with car on it, was crunchy! The vanilla shake I think was just ice cream in a cup. Every slurp had chunks of ice and no flavor. After 3 sips that was also left on the table. Lastly the side of cheese for the french fries. It was so thick and orangey a.k.a. OLD AS FUCK that we were scared to dip our french fries in there.
We will NOT be going back.

Good place eat selection of food varies from subs cold or toasted. To Hot dogs, gyros, combos fish polishes and a few more. As you can tell I eat there a lot and have been for years. The quality of food is great and the trust me you’ll be full. Daily specials are very well priced. Have had a couple of errors on the orders but the owners always made it right. I always take it to go and never spend more than 5 minutes waiting so the service is always quick.

I won’t be back. Went here a few times cause it’s the only place close to my office that offers gyros. Every single time I get an order the pita bread is terribly burnt in spots but soft and soggy every where else. I don’t get it. I spend half my lunch break trying to pick off the burnt pieces. Never again. I can live without the gyros :(

Great traditional Chicago style hot dog place! Great Vienna beefs hot dogs. The Italian Beef is huge and delicious! The prices are very reasonable. You will not leave this place hungry!

I usually hit this place when I am at my office down the street. The hot dog special is a good value and the hot dogs are good just make sure you ask for the celery salt and hot peppers.

No peppers or relish on the hot dog?! Good tomato, though.

I work nearby and I got coupons for $ 1 off a side when you purchase a sandwich. (Just for employees of my work.) So I got my pregnancy standard (at least lately) of Gyro Sandwich and Onion Rings. I KNOW it is a hot dog place, but I really love Gyros lately! So I get back to work and Gyro sandwich has very good amount of meat — some very small pieces but ok… tomatoes, onions, sauce underneath which I like. Onion Rings? Very large but how many? ONLY 6 — I wanted more! But very good and will definitely go back since so close to work.
