Johnny’s been here in the past as a bettor on the second floor. So with a new honey suggesting we have lunch there, I said sounds sweet. The best of all worlds: a Honey, Live Horse racing, and good food. My latest catch is a horsewoman, so she new her way around. She had the wings which she said were above average. I got the drift that the kitchen staff may have their ups and downs. She said they were a bit spicier than normal. She liked them. I had a chicken southwestern wrap. Comes with fries and pickle! Good pickle. Firm. The whole dish was good. I enjoyed it much better than a Taco Bell. But the place is not all about food. It’s the fun of watching and betting on your favorite nag from Churchill, Aqueduct, Louisiana Downs, or cross town at Hawthorn. More ambiance than Hawthorn. Service was great. A little loud, but what the hell. Sat, watched, and talked through 3 races at Hawthorn. Came out even. OK place with the right lovely. Open at 9:30 Thanksgiving morning. I’ll be there just for the hell of it. I’m past the midnight shopping bonanza’s.

This place is right next to the Arlington Race Track and right across the street from the Courthouse. I was doing jury duty in Rolling Meadows(don’t ask me why they sent me out there when I live in the city, but…) and went for lunch. There are TVs everywhere and individual TVs at the booths, but they are all showing horse racing stuff. Kind of depressing how many people were holed up there in the middle of the day placing bets. My lunch came to $ 18.24(salad + soda). My payment from the State for jury duty service was $ 17.20. Not liking the math! The food was just meh and it was expensive!
