Starbucks

I just wanted to take a minute to say how awesome the ladies at the waterman rd. Starbucks are. They are all so friendly and welcoming, genuinely always greeting everyone, and just overall awesome. Never a bad experience here! I love the order over the app too for when you’re in a hurry. Best Starbucks in Elk Grove to visit, hands down.

I went to order a Venti, no classic, no ice, no water green tea. It was 8:01 pm on Saturday evening. The young man explained to me that they were out of green tea and it would take a few minutes for him to make more I told him that was fine with me. (Since my husband and I were ending our date night with a treat from Starbucks. I was in no hurry to get home.)
As the young man turned around to start to prep to make my green tea a young female that worked there whispered something to him and laughed and handed him two tea bags he turned to me and told me that he can’t make the tea I order but he will make the hot green tea it will just taste a little different and I asked why? He told me that they close an a hour and then He then told me that the hot tea also had mint in it. I let him know that’s not what I wanted if it was then I would of ordered that. I asked who was in charge and he told me that the young lady that gave him the tea bags was the one in charge. So I had my money refunded and went to the other Starbucks on Bond Road. That was the best choice! They were friendly and the service was real nice.
It’s sad that original one could not or I should say choose not to complete my order. I love Starbucks and with Dutch Brothers, Petes Coffee and Grace Coffee all so close you think they would try to keep what customers they have happy! I guess this location does not think that way. Or at least the employees that were working on the evening on 1−8−16 don’t think that way. I only gave them a 1 star because the young man had pleasant customer service at the start of my order… But the rest of the experience is a big zero for stars!!!

Such a wonderful place to meet up with old friends. Friendly baristas and yummy warm drinks. Thanks for always putting a smile on a girls face.

Once again a condescending response when I decline to give out my name. Very poor customer practice.
The experience continued to erode as I bought a pound of the Christmas Blend and had it ground. The cashier asked if I wanted the receipt and I replied yes I do, but please put it in a bag along with the coffee. Once ground they gave me the coffee sans the bag and the receipt. Ok, so I asked agan and was told they would have to print it again. Uh… did you not listen? Very bad when people in the service industry hear, but do NOT listen. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Went in today and ordered a coffee. One person ahead of me when I ordered. Had to wait total of 10 minutes for my coffee and it wasn’t even hot. I ended up just throwing it out. Cashier was really nice though.

the drive thru is ALWAYS long here and depending on the day, it can go by quickly or very slowly.
the associate who takes the order seems to be friendly every time I come by: tells you the special, doesn’t rush you and helps you decide. a lot of the time I just come through for their pasties or sandwiches while on my way to work. my current favorite is their pepperoni fold over. it’s like a calzone but a lot smaller. there have been a few times where I’ve drove through and they didn’t have the fold over available. sad. :(other than that they seem to have the drinks available and the friendly workers.

Prices went up today. Not thrilled about that. Still it’s a corporate policy and not the store. This store has played around with the layout over the last year or so and it finally has a clean look and feel that flows real nice. The customer service has become far more engaged in the experience as opposed to timing a transaction and serving a beverage.
I certainly appreciate as well how the flow at the counter to the bar seems much more in synch. Never any mistakes with my drinks and they are tasting even more delicious as of late. The place is also kept much cleaner than in the past. This is the closest to my home and a go to on the weekend. I like all the positive changes. I now look forward to this store beyond the fact that it’s just the closest to home.

This rating is not on the taste of the product because it’s your standard Starbucks items being sold.
First time at this Starbucks. Nice upbeat atmosphere on a Saturday morning. Workers are friendly and drinks were prepared fairly quickly considering there were a lot of people. Based in the pictures previously posted by others, this Starbucks has received a facelift.
If you’re looking for a place to hang out with plenty of inside and outside room and a place with friendly workers, you should check this place out. I would definitely return here next time I’m in the area.

Simple, quiet Starbucks close to my house. Coffee is good and the service over my last several visits has been friendly and efficient. Can’t really ask/​expect a lot more from a coffee shop, can you? Two thoughts about the criticisms. First, as to Starbucks as a whole; yes they are corporate and hence the experience is somewhat sterile, but in my opinion, the coffee is good. I have had the good fortune of having meals and coffee at some terrific restaurants, and while I have had better coffee, Starbucks gets the job done. Second, as to this specific location, I see the lack of a drive thru as a positive. Come on folks, get out of your cars. If it is pouring rain or if you have a sleeping toddler in the car, I get it but sitting in a car for 10 minutes waiting for a cup of Joe?

It was my second time going to this location. The staff is super friendly, like most starbucks stores. They are super fast … The only thing … They forgot about my order :/​I had to ask them again about my hot green tea. On top of that when I got to my work and tasted it… It was a wrong order :(
Not a good start of the day.

Best starbucks place i’ve been to! Such a great location, very quiet and good for studying. Service is awesome and something about this place is so good to me.

Quick and efficient, but NO DRIVETHRU! Sorry, but I just expect that from Starbucks. The location is kind of funky in the way it is situated on the property. There is no parking right by the front door. Other than those issues, which are really more about convenience, the quality of the food and drinks appears to be on part with every other SB.

This Starbucks is my favorite in Elk Grove. They are quick, efficient and extremely nice. They get my order right every time and are happy to do substitutions without the crappy attitude some baristas have been known to give. Love this location and after last week’s experience at the Starbucks on Bond Road I will forever be a regular here.

Starbucks is Starbucks… This place is alright, they only have one square table and the rest are little round tables. Good for individuals but not group studies. I like the staff there, they’re very friendly.

This Starbucks is usually pretty fast and efficient. I like coming to this location because the Customer Service is great here! I usually order a passion tea lemonade and they make it perfect here. Like all Starbucks, this location is pretty busy also. I will continue coming to this location when Im in the area.

South Sac and Elk Grove have an astounding dearth of locally-​owned coffee shops. Instead, a shocking number of Starbucks dominate the market and force their boring generic coffee on an apparently apathetic populace. So, without driving out of the coffee desert into downtown, I am forced instead to deal with corporate coffee.
The interior of the shop is marked by the most typical Starbucks atmosphere. Muted earth tones meet too many pot lights to remind you just how sterile this cookie-​cutter coffee shop is. Chances are, there won’t be many people hanging out at one of the many identical tables. The atmosphere is stifling and far from engaging. A constant parade of some of the most insufferable people the area has to offer goes in and out. Currently, I’m watching a yuppie mom in clothes much too young for her with her two young children. She turns around frequently to ensure that everyone sees her Coach purse and remains totally engrossed in her iPhone but never removes her Gucci sunglasses.
My caffe mocha tasted like it was out of a box; and it likely was. I think the beans may have been cremated rather than roasted. Even the color is amusingly fake. The staff is friendly, but lethargic, and take far too long to prepare a simple drink. While my barista is entertaining, she unfortunately can’t impart any character on my coffee.
Ultimately, you get an archetypal Starbucks experience. It isn’t necessarily miserable, but is boring and mostly palatable.

I’ve been venturing over to this Starbucks for over 7 years now and haven’t been disappointed yet. Store manager rocks, great place to kick back with tablet or laptop and get stuff done, etc. They remember your name, drink, etc. kudos.

They have absolutely awesome customer service and they never mess up my drink. doppio expresso with 4pumps of white mocha over ice… seems easy enough right? Well some places have a hard time making it taste good… either jipping me by giving me small pumps of the white mocha or giving me extra expresso. either way this location makes my drink to a perfect. There are alot of chairs and table to lounge and as always the restroom smells and looks clean.

I generally shy away from Starbucks in favor of smaller, locally owned businesses, but I’ll have to make an exception of this one. Small, intimate, and very «homey,» this one has a nice little patio as well.
The staff is fast, friendly, and efficient.
A great place for a break.

Wow. Did you know that you can ask to have your pastries heated… like scones, croissants, or the cheese danishes?! The blueberry scone and danish are good, but when they are warmed yummm!!!
Filled my usual venti green tea lemonade with almost 75% ice. Some staff not as cheerful here. But I am writing this review as I use their free Wifi! =D
