While in Elkin we needed to find a place we could eat that was also«dog friendly. Rustic patio here served the purpose with nice umbrellas. Our waitress brought out a nice jowl of water before we sat down to look at the menus. It appears brisket is popular here so went with that and the sweet potato fries. Our fries arrived quickly and they were delicious along with a sweet and sour dip along with a bit of heat! The brisket and caramelized onions on a fresh baked role was perfect. Enjoyed a nice Guinness on tap with my meal and declared this to be a great small town pub! I am rating it as such… Nothing fancy, small menu, a darkened pub atmosphere inside. A place I would return and enjoy again. Service was extremely attentive throughout.

I’ve been going to Fiddles once or twice a week for the past several months. Something has definitely changed lately. The last two times they’ve been out of many of the usual beers and the food has been sub par to say the least. Everyone in our group got the burgers, which used to be awesome. The last two times they’ve been like charcoal… dry and overcooked. Everyone else we spoke to had the same reaction. What happened to asking how people like their burgers cooked? It’s such a shame to see a place fall so far so quickly. Hopefully they’ll turn it back around, but I’m going elsewhere for the time being.

We were in town for a wedding and I found this restaurant through Unilocal.I must say I am so happy I did. The brisket sandwich with caramelized onions was totally awesome. The beef had a great flavor and was so very tender. The waitress brought us horseradish which made It even better. The pizza was great as was the fried pickles. The beer and whine selection had some locals which we always love to try. Service was fantastic ! A great place to go.

Absolutely LOVED my experience here. My sister and I were in town to go to Stone Mountain, and when in Elkin we usually go to 222, but it was a Wednesday & they are only open Thurs-Sun. I had heard of Fiddle’s, so we decided to check it out. SO glad we did. Our waitress was very helpful and energetic, told us that the chef does a different burger special every Wednesday. I am not a huge fan of hamburger meat, but when she described the special it sound too good not to order. We split a meduim rare burger topped with swiss cheese, locally purchased pulled pork BBQ, bacon infused pimento cheese, and homemade honey mustard slaw, with a side of sweet potato fries. AMAZING! We sat at the bar in the restaurant, but wanted to go out and smoke. when we asked if we could take our beers onto the street(wonderful beer selection here!) we were informed that there was outdoor seating available behind the restaurant! We were moved outside no trouble. The atmosphere is so relaxed and social, we will be back every Wednesday to try the new sandwich specials! Definitely earned all 5 stars!

222 was packed tonight so we went to Fiddles. The music was a 7 out of 10. The veggie pizza a 6.5…really good cheese and fresh. Salads were a 7… balsamic vinaigrette they use is great. Beer was a 7… seemed fresh and service was a 7. We will definitely come back. Its a quaint spot with atmosphere. Its a bar so they need to get rid of the group home carpet and put in tile or fake laminate at least over it.

Relaxed, laid back atmosphere and looked to be some great beers on tap. Stopped in for lunch on a rainy day. The sweet potato fries were amazing, crisp and flavorful, and the dipping sauce was tasty. The pizza was okay, loved the fresh toppings, but the dough and sauce seemed almost like the Chef Boyardee kit you get at the grocery store. The service was great and would return when I’m back in the Elkin area. I did notice our neighboring table took their burgers to go. They could barely close the clamshell container, the burger, toppings, and bun were so tall!

The smoked brisket sandwich was highly recommended by a coworker. I was not impressed. Nothing out of the ordinary, $ 7+(WITHOUT a side)! Meat was tender but bland, average size sandwich. Didn’t leave full. House chips were good. But, they are good anywhere you go in Elkin. They did have a pretty extensive list of bottled beers and local wines. Didn’t get to try any of them because I forgot my ID

Wonderful setting right on the quiet end of Elkin’s Main Street. Perfect place to relax, enjoy a Guinness Stout draft or some other favorite beverage. Ordered smoked Brisket and caramelized onions Sandwich, sweet potato fries basket, Guinness and wings. Enjoyed everything, beer, sandwich, fries, and pepper jelly dip.

Not impressed. The place is either dead or packed out with 20 people… This place is tiny and not conducive to a good time.

Craft beer from around the nation and Elkin? I could not be more excited that this pub exists. As a guy who didn’t discover beer in a dive bar, Fiddle’s is a great addition to downtown Elkin. Cider and Guinness and Anchor Steam on draft, with about two dozen craft bottles to choose from. Give the owner(John) a recommendation and he’ll even see if he can get a new brew to add to the arsenal. A real beer drinker’s bar, not to be confused(or mislabeled) as a binge-drinker’s bar. I will be bringing friends.

Love this place! Small, quaint, friendly with excellent selection of beer and wine and very tasty food! The chicken nuggets were outstanding, as was the panini. The bathrooms were clean, tables had plugs so we could hook up our computers, and the wait staff was happy to take care of us. Would recommend highly and would love to go back!

Great spot! Much needed pub that serves as a convenient gathering spot. Live music, great staff, deck out back, gracious host owners… what more could you ask for?
