I don’t know what people want out of a frozen yogurt place… the yogurt is one of our favorite. It tastes delicious. The toppings are fresh and they give you a lot of them. I know there are frozen yogurt places on every block these days, but not all are tasty. At least this one for us, is tasty enough to where we keep going back. Id say that the ONLY really«bad thing» about this place is the DUMB valet. The parking lot is beyond small and all they do is park your car for you, when it would be much easier to park your car yourself… cuz they only«park» your car for you 5 ft away. Pointless… and if you are hungry for some healthy food, right next door is Coral Tree Café, which we love as well… pricey, but delicious.

As others have said, it’s a blink and you’ll miss it location. Nestled in the corner next to Coral Tree, I decided to give it a try duing my lunch hour. That was my first mistake. The entire lot was for valet only minus a few spots on the side which were full. Since a car was behind me, I couldn’t back up so I had to exit the lot and drive all the way around the block to get back to the metered street parking. Once inside I was behind a woman who got a pretty decent sized portion. Wanting what she had, I ordered the largest size they had(they only have one flavor: plain) but my portion ended up being about 1⁄3 smaller? Huh? Once I got back to the office, I was even more pissed to discover that in the middle of my yogurt was a gaping HOLE! A hole of nothing! 5 bucks for what ended up being a kid-sized«large». Total rip off and an unfriendly girl behind the counter who obviously hated her life. Next time, I’ll go back to Menchie’s or Yogurt Zone!

Are you kidding me? This place gets average to low reviews because it’s a quiet place with simple décor and has strip mall parking? Call me crazy, but I’m going to review it based on the quality of the product, quantity and price. I love that Purenaked Yogurt isn’t Pinkberry — individuality is something I appreciate and I’m not a lover of Pinkberry at this point. The yogurt here is good quality, not too tart and is a good sized portion. The only topping I’ve had is fruit and it’s always been fresh and tastes good. I like the prices, too! I get a large with 3 toppings for $ 4.95 and I get to eat it in a cool, quiet place that’s easy on the eyes. Bonus points for having nice, friendly staff. :)

Décor was bare minimum. Yogurt was bare minimum(not bad, not good). Toppings were limited and the strawberries looked like strawberry preserves. Parking wasn’t horrible when I went, but if they ever got busy, it’d be a nightmare to get parking. I agree that it’s a wannabe pinkberry, but it isn’t as good.

The yogurt is incredibly tart and icy. They weigh the amount of yogurt they put in each bowl, which is not very much yogurt at all — especially for the price. Poor selection of toppings. Service is slow and unaccommodating. So many better yogurt places. Purenaked sucks.

They weren’t kidding with the Purenaked, but they left out the part about shitty parking. The yogurt was pretty decent. They only have plain, and it’s nice and tart, but a tiny bit on the icy side with nothing that really sets it apart. I wouldn’t eat the yogurt on its own like I would Pinkberry. The server(who was the only other human being in the room) did pile on plenty of fresh mango and strawberry, though, and that was tasty. They have papaya, which I haven’t seen before, and an above-average selection of nut toppings. They do not, however, have mochi. Definitely worth stopping by if you need a froyo fix, but not Pinkberry, and I’d probably rather spend my money at yogen fruz just a couple of minutes away in Tarzana.

I love the idea of simple, healthy yogurt with toppings or fresh fruit. The fruit is always ripe and sweet, and you can choose fat free, too. This place is owned by the Coral Tree Café next door, which specializes in organic salads, sandwiches and pastries… and I equally love them too. I come to get my yogurt fix whenever I want something cool, light and sweet and don’t want to indulge in anything fattening or chocked full of calories. I could go for some right now… I do have to say sometimes the parking situation can be a pain, because it is a small lot. Sometimes you have to park across the street near BucaDiBeppo, or in front at metered, but not too often.

You can’t get anymore naked than this establishment! The Encino store recently opened and located right next door to the Coral Tree Café. The store is so small that you would have to actually stop your car and look into the small shopping center. The first impression I got of Barenaked Yogurt is the heat. It felt like a sauna in there and it was unbearable! Hopefully this is a temporary glitch; no frozen yogurt can withstand that! The décor was… well naked! Very minimal very bare… very plain looking«furniture» and the place lack color. Maybe that’s the point. The menu has only three items: naked(plain yogurt), half naked(yogurt with two toppings), and fully dressed(yogurt with you guessed it… three toppings). There was also an item called«skinny dip». I asked about it and the guy behind the counter said it was a type of a smoothie drink. but it’s not offered anymore! Ooookkkkeeeee!!! Like any yogurt place, toppings include fruits, nuts, and some fun stuff like chocolate chips, etc. I ordered a half-naked with strawberries and blueberries. What surprised me was the skimpy amount of toppings you get for nearly $ 4. The amount of yogurt you get is average. Overall I wasn’t too impressed with the place. For the amount of money you pay for for yogurt and two toppings should be substantial and not kiddie portions.
