Bored with the mom and pop ice cream shop or basic Baskin Robins or Cold Stone? Then here lies the answer to your problems. Wanderlust is the perfect name for this place because they have flavors that will take you all over the world. For example, thai tea, mango sticky rice, and other unique flavors. I would recommend you read the descriptions of the flavors. It is pricey but worth it. The parking lot is okay but I would considered it small since they share it with Coffee Bean and other stores. They also offer things like ube cones and macaron sandwiches.

I got invited to my friend’s bf’s house during Memorial Day who lives like less than 10 minutes from Wanderlust. I rarely come out to the valley so when I had the opportunity, I knew Wanderlust was the place I had to go. Parking was really bad but we got lucky. The shop itself is small but when you walk in, it smells so good!!! I had a hard time choosing my ice cream as they had all kinds of yummy flavors. The ice cream servers were friendly and they let us try as many flavors as we wanted. I did not like the sticky rice and mango. Yuck!!! I had to save room in my tummy for the BBQ lunch so I just got a scoop of honey lavender from Provence, France with Rose crystals with the purple Ube cone. Scrumptious!!! I love their concept Wanderlust theme as the flavors represent some of the countries throughout the world. Highly recommended this ice cream shop!!! I wish Wanderlust was closer to me…

i freaking love ice cream, but i love artisian ice cream even more! Why? because you can’t go wrong with high quality fine ice cream with bomb ass unique flavors that you probably have never heard of. For someone who is drawn to new/unique flavors — I am very pleased with the flavor selection here! ANDIMEVENMOREEXCITEDTHATIT’S INTHEVALLEY! I used to crave Salt & Straw(my all time favorite ice cream shop), BUT Wanderlust Creamery comes pretty darn close. GETTHEUBECONE($ 1 extra) — you won’t regret it! And don’t be ashame to ask for samples to try all o the flavors before deciding what you want… hhaha but maybe you shouldn’t try everything cause it would make it harder to pick a flavor. Anyway, the flavor selection is so unique/original– sticky mango rice, honey lavender, orange baklava, fig leaf & pistachio, pretzel rugbrough, earl gray… and the list goes on! What do I recommend? If you want something fresh: orange baklava or sakura latte(omg)! If you want something salty/sweet: pretzel rugbrough + ube cone(my go to combination). Who am i kidding… everything is GOOD! HIGHLYRECOMMEND. Only complaint is that it’s kinda pricy — about $ 4 for a single scoop but hey, you’re paying for the finest ice cream, so I guess I can’t complain. It’s actually pretty comparable to other artisian ice cream shop !

Mango sticky rice with ube cone = GOAT of ice cream and cone combinations! All their other flavors are great, but no matter how good they are, I always get drawn to the mango sticky rice flavor. Perhaps jt’s because doing so saves me a weekend trip to Pia in North Hollywood

This place is honestly amazing! Now I typically don’t love ice cream. I have my cravings here and there but it’s not something I would even every day if I had the choice. But ice cream here? Forget eating it every day, just drown me in it, it’s THAT good. The flavors are so unique and honestly something you wouldn’t see at any other place. There are the popular ones like Sticky Rice and Mango and Honey Lavender but there are so many others that are amazing that I’m kinda sad I don’t remember the names of. I do love the Lilikoi and the Aloe Cucumber but flavors change every time so it’s hard to keep track. That service though. I’ve been twice and each time, my group of friends and I have been greeted and helped so enthusiastically even though we’ve minutes before closing each time. All in all, this is a great ice cream place and I can see why it has such great reviews and such big hype. The ice cream is delicious, the place is cute, and the workers are super nice. Great job!

Yes the prices are expensive, but the ice cream flavors are so inventive and delicious! I remember having some sort of whisky salted caramel flavor and thinking that was the best ice cream I ever had! I recently returned and saw that they had new interesting flavors! I only wish they gave you more ice cream per size/price!

I came here a few nights ago for the first time. There were lots of people outside and about 8 people in line. With all these top reviews, I thought I was going to have the greatest ice cream on earth. Service was prompt; we both tried a sample of their 3 best sellers. The guy who served us was very nice and helpful. The ice cram was just ok, at best; it was absolutely nothing special. I thought they were both lacking any real flavor; both flavors were boring. The waffle cone was the most bland I have ever had; in fact, I didn’t even finish eating it. Honestly, I can not figure out why this place has such high rating :/ Anyway, I’m glad I tried them out, but I won’t be back.

Love Wanderlust Creamery! Kinda surprised I haven’t written a review about it before. Parking is kinda annoying. They do have a lot, but it’s kind of odd and some of the spaces aren’t clearly marked and it makes it hard trying to figure out what is a spot and isn’t. I love that the flavors are super unique and are inspired by different places in the world. They rotate flavors every month too, which I love because there’s always something new to try. They have a few flavors that are always there, like their popular Thai-inspired sticky rice & mango — MUSTTRY! And I think it’s vegan too which is pretty awesome :) The people that work here are super friendly and helpful. I tried a sample of almost every flavor last time I went! They have unique cone flavors as well. I as excited about the ube cone, but unfortunately I was disappointed and didn’t really think it tasted like ube. It had a VERY small hint of ube, but I was hoping for it to be a lot stronger. PROTIP: Sign up for a 5 Stars card to get point perks for visiting! I came in this past weekend and got a free BOGO small. My next reward is a free macaron! Overall, love this place. Definitely recommend!

Wanderlust Creamery is not your typical ice cream place. Forget plain old vanilla or trendy salted caramel, because at Wanderlust, the world is your oyster… err, cone. At Wanderlust Creamery, the owners’ extensive travels provide the inspiration for their unique flavors. Like Thai food? Then you’ll love their Mango and Sticky Rice flavor. Wish you could climb Macchu Picchu? Save yourself the plane fare to Peru and go for a scoop of Peruvian Cookies & Cream with its ‘Manjar Blanco’ caramelized condensed milk. Working on your British accent? Order a scoop of Earl Grey, topped with rose crystals, bergamot olive oil and a sprinkling of sea salt, and you’ll be chuffed! Longing for the romance of Paris? How about staying local and falling in love with something deliciously Parisian instead, like Wanderlust’s Honey Lavender flavor topped with elderflower crystals? Craving the taste of Mexican chocolate? If so, your abuela would definitely approve of the Abuelita Malted Crunch flavor. Missed the cherry blossom festival in Japan this year? No worries thanks to Wanderlust Creamery’s Sakura(cherry blossom) flavor. And, because there are more mountains to climb and rivers to cross, it doesn’t end there… Avocado, Smokey Road, and more! Wanderlust Creamery’s international flavors are so authentic, you might accidentally hand your passport to the cashier.

A unique ice cream store that stands out among the other unique ice cream stores! «Ice cream inspired by travel» is indeed the name of the game here. Wanderlust is easy to find, it’s in the small strip mall that has the large«Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf» on the corner of Reseda and Ventura. As soon as you walk in your are enveloped by the smells of baking waffle cones and cookies… vanilla, butter and sweetness. It’s lovely. The staff here are always friendly and super helpful. They are fast to greet you and welcome you to the store and ask if you’re a first time visitor. They are happy to let you taste any flavors you choose(but the menu on the back wall kindly asks that you limit tasting flavors to 3 so other people behind you in line don’t wait too long). You really cannot go wrong with the flavors here, especially if you are an adventurous eater. They have seasonal flavors that tend to change every 1 – 2 months, but they have regular flavors too that you can always expect to see. I know the Thai Mango and Sticky rice flavor is a regular because it’s just so very good! On my most recent trip I tried their two tea flavors: Earl Grey and Japanese Neapolitan(Hojicha, Matcha and Sesame). Both flavors were outstanding! The ice cream is creamy and sweet, but not overly so. The early grey was authentic and balanced just perfectly: the floral bergamot, black tea and cream just like a frozen cup of English tea. I loved it. The Japanese Neapolitan was amazing too. Each flavor was both distinguishable and extremely tasty. I could eat it forever, I hope it’s a flavor they plan to carry often. I will always be looking for an excuse to come back here. It’s THAT good!

This place is the the bomb. Honestly, if you are looking for some amazing ice cream that will actually blow your mind and be like wo. Then this place is for you . Here’s the simple way to look at this place. It’s a unique ice cream spot that has some awesome flavor a from honey lavender to Peruvian shortbread cookie to Thai ice tea. Every single flavor I have tried has been absolutely amazing and there’s something even cooler. One thing they do suggest is certain toppings and these toppings are not your ordinary toppings . They also have macaroons, waffle cones in different flavors, and simple cups. Overall this place deserves a 5⁄5 for the service, quality of product, and location.

Update: ok, I misjudged this place. I’m updating my review from 4 stars to 5 stars. After my previous review where I expressed how bummed I was about the mango sticky rice not having enough mango, I immediately noticed an increase in Mango on this ice cream. It makes me wonder if they read my review and adjusted accordingly?! Hmmm… I’ve also found myself to crave their unique flavors such as, Earlgray, uni, Japanese Neapolitan, etc. Staff are still consistently friendly. This place is just too delicious and unique so I decided that it deserved a better rating from me. Try it once, you’ll like it, try it twice, you’ll love it!

I freakin love ice cream shops, especially the ones that take the extra leap of faith in their flavors. Wanderlust Creamery has flavors that you’re definitely not going to see at a Baskin Robbins. All their flavors represent different types of cultures and tastes from all over the world! I sampled the: Smokey Road Peruvian Cookies and Cream Japanese Neopolitan Malaysian White Coffee Honey Lavender Abuelita Malted Crunch Allllll equally good, it really depends what you’re craving for! I got a half scoop of the Peruvian Cookies and Cream and half scoop of the Malaysian White Coffee on an ube(taro) waffle cone, for $ 4. Don’t be basic and get the regular waffle cone — get the ube cone! I’m not sure if it was just me, but finding the place was a bit hard. Yes, it’s on the intersection of Reseda and Ventura, but I ended up missing the parking lot everyone was talking about and had to park on Ventura Blvd. If you’re coming from the 101, slow down before you approach the intersection and turn into the parking lot as soon as you see the Coffee Bean! It’ll save you the trouble of parking on busy ass Ventura.

Really great ice cream. Exceptional original flavors. You won’t find any vanilla or strawberry here. But you will find a ton of cool flavors that you’ve never heard of. Everything is made from scratch in-house. I sampled a handful of them and they were all great. The lady was so nice and was eager to have us try them all. The one I ended up choosing was the Smokey Road; their play on Rocky Road. It was extremely chocolately, so I instantly loved it. The texture is very smooth and creamy. The waffle cone is also great. The only negative I have is that it’s pricy for what you get. $ 4 for a fairly small scoop and add a $ 1 for the come. The scoop is roughly the size of a small tangerine. It’s in the plaza on the corner of reseda and Ventura with the Coffee Bean.

«Ice cream inspired by travel.» Such a cool concept they go by here! You come in and you will notice different UNIQUE ice cream flavors! Some flavors include: — Mango sticky rice — Thai tea — Abuelita malted crunch — Japanese neapolitan — Kalamansi & ginger sherbet Basically ice cream flavors inspired by different parts of the world! It’s cool because they change their ice cream flavor list daily! TOTALLYDIFFERENT ice cream flavors but they are all RICH in flavor!!! Take advantage of getting some samples & you will know what I’m talking about! I ordered a single scoop in a waffle cone.(About $ 4) (PSSST, tip: I ordered 2HALFSCOOPS of the single scoop. so I can get 2 flavors for the single scoop price! lol) Anyways, the scoops are a little smaller than what I was anticipating, but understandable because their waffle cones are a little small. But don’t worry it’s worth it! They also make their own waffle cones! When I came here right before closing, they only had regular or UBE(taro) waffle cone. Very unique, so of course I got the ube waffle cone! I got it with a half scoop of the abuelita malted crunch & the other half scoop of the Algerian cookies n cream! SOOOGOOD! My favorite is the abuelita malted crunch ice cream! It reminds me of Thrifty/Rite Aid’s chocolate malted crunch BUT in a Mexican hot chocolate ice cream base! UMMPH. Also, if you still have that sweet tooth, they sell maracons here as well! Totally worth stopping by this part of the Valley to try these unique ice cream flavors!

I think I have a new obsession. I think it’s bad when you can’t stop talking about this place and when you go here once a week. It’s pretty nice because they have a rewards program through an app where every time you go you get a free item to keep you coming back! My favorite is the earl gray as well as the honey lavender flavor. The rose crystals add a yummy crunch(think Fruity Pebbles!) It’s really difficult to find unique flavors such as the honey lavender so I think I found the jewel in the valley. For me to drive 20+ minutes to get to this place means a lot! It’s a better value to pay six dollars for two scoops rather than four dollars for one.

I remember getting banana something and that was awesome. Because it is so lightly sweetened that you are wanting to come back for more. This review is about the coconut ice cream with the Ube waffle cone. That was a ridiculous. I am starting to be a fan of Coconut flavor and man this blew the blew the roof of my house. Whoo! So amazing. So bomb. Notes: Tiny parking spot. Outdoor seating. Parking across the street is okay. They close at 12pm. Verdict: Bring someone who’s not really into super sweets. They will like this place.

Very good. Please do not call this just ice cream, this is Italian Gelato. Wanderlust uses the whisking process, that makes the main difference! Beside the base ingredient(mainly milk instead of cream), the«secret» to make Gelato is the whisking, when the liquid mix becomes a solid pasty. This must happen quickly and throughout stirring of the whole mass, incorporating lot of air, therefore adding lightness and elegance to the pasty. When you taste Wanderlust Gelato, your perception expands in a sequence of musics. Your tongue will first touch its topping — either spicy, sweet or crystalline — gifting you with the Allegro of Vivaldi’s Primavera, then Gelato lightness enables agile movements of your tongue like a Mozart waltzer seeking for more details, and then the sophistication of the ingredients take form in your mouth, like a Gran Finale of a Beethoven Symphony, associated with the Forte of an Albinoni Trionfo. Wanderlust Creamery shop is contemporary, modern, and minimalist at the same time, with some ethnic accent and vaguely Renascence reference. There is evident a Seattle influence too. Bright shop, giant mirror behind counter reporting noble and unconditioned message, a cone holder/display resembling ancient elegance with Da Vinci like painting, tables minimized to French bistro like, modern/sci-fi glass display of post-atomic colored toppings. The overall experience goes beyond the quality of the Gelato, really excellent. I tried almost all of them. Honey Lavender is my favorite, challenging undefeated Vitality(in Costa Mesa, OC). 5 Stars!!! Luigius — Thor of Unilocal Energy

I had heard so many great things about this artisan ice cream spot. This place has been in my radar and I finally came here one afternoon. Thankfully, it was a slow day that I was able to try several samples. I ended up getting a scoop of the mango sticky rice and a scoop of the pretzel rugrbraou with black sesame cone. The thing that shocked was that the mango sticky rice was vegan. It was decadent and creamy. The flavors here are really unique. They even have Thai tea ice cream. This place is small and has a charming vibe to it. The customer service was excellent and the guy helping me so was patient, especially since I was indecisive. I’ll definitely come back and try their other flavors. You can also sign up and receive text messages for their special promotions. This is located in a small plaza by Coffee Bean. There’s parking in a small private lot or you can find street parking.
