Dan and Derrick were extremely helpful and this shop does have bargains and discounts. Friendly place with quality merchandise at low prices!

Decent customer service. Their guns are way over priced though. I was looking at a Sig Misquote for the wife and they wanted $ 279. Ended up finding it at another shop for $ 239 + extras.

I read some of the negative reviews of this place and when I went there I experienced none of the negative customer service complaints as previous patrons. I talked to multiple employees there and everyone was nice and knowledgeable. They had no problem showing me a myriad of products including things I wasn’t really even in the market for and just talking to me about gun related things such as new releases or possible future upgrades to my firearm. I paid $ 100 for the sights I wanted. Online they retail for around $ 80 but if you factor in shipping costs, shipping time, installation, and being able to hold the product in your hand and compare it to others I think it was fair. But if you include that there are multiple gun shops in the area willing to supply the same product and service for a lesser price than it might not be that fair. For that I would give this business a 4.5 review but since I can not do that I will round up and give them a 5 rating.

Do not waste your time. I paid $ 90 for a rear iron sight that was basic. Ended up finding a way more advanced rear sight on amazon for $ 20. Rude customer service and just a downright waste of my time and money.

I just wanted to write a review for SM Gun Shop. I like these guys, and their prices are reasonable. Don’t expect to sell your gun for top dollar to them because YOU own it, if you know what I mean. They’re there to make money, and for a local shop, I support the way they run their shop. If you can find it on the internet for $ 12 cheaper, don’t expect them to cater to you. I go into the shop to buy something, and chances are, they have it in stock. I pay what they are asking and don’t b**ch about it. I’m happy we live in a time where we can actually own what they have in their shop, and that something bad hasn’t happened(yet) to raise demand once again(driving prices through the roof). It’s hilarious to read all the negative comments and reviews about this place. One person even suggested going over to Other Place down the street…(which I gotta say, when I went in that place, one of the«kids» that work there was seriously doing«pew pew pew» with one of the guns off the shelf… just sayin’). Personally, I’d much rather the old time feel and hear the s**t talking over the tacticool-kid junk any day. If you go into SM Gun Shop with any bit of respect, they treat you the same. If you have any off the wall questions, like, «Which gun is the best gun?» kind of questions, prepare for some smartass-ness coming your way… well deserved, if you ask me ;) I hope the shop owner reads, or hears about this review. You have a patriot’s support… as if you needed it ;) haha

I reload and found them driving through town. They had what most stores don’t and the powder was reasonable. They were busy, usual amount of droolers and gun fly’s in the store. My turn came and I was treated right. The receipt is taped to my reloading book so I’ll remember where to go for supplies. And«N0» they aren’t the kind of store with a roped off kiddie play area. Store too packed with goodies for that.

Despite what the radio add and what the sign says they are neither great guys, nor do they have good hunting supplies. I would also like to see the numbers that show they have the largest selection of anything other than bad attitude and poor advice in Lane county. I’ve made a total of two purchases there in 17 years. My first purchase as a gun owner was, unfortunately, at SM. I bought a pistol for my wife as a wedding present. I found out later I had only over paid by $ 200. My second purchase was after I called literally everyone in town, and mail order was out as well, for Pow R Ball in 9 mm. I think next time I’ll drive to the company head quarters instead of purchase from SM. This may seem like a turn and burn, it comes from years of experience with this particular buisness’ owner and employees. There are some genuinely good guys, and unfortunately both of them seem to work split shifts on leap years, or are gone. The vast majority of «help» you are likely to recieve is neither knowledgable nor friendly. You are far more likely to get sold what they are unable to move quickly as a first time firearms purchaser, than something actually suited to your needs. Please heed this advice. If you’re looking to support local business and want an excellent deal. Go to Creswell and see Raye at Emerald Valley Armory. Also say hi to Mr. Jenkins, he’s the handsome one with the fur.

I’ve frequented a lot of gun shops. Marv and the staff have always been professional and helpful to me. All business and willing to answer all of my questions. Prices are among the best I’ve seen short of the internet. Bought my first gun there in 1987.

Because of what others have told me(rude and unprofessional staff, high prices, etc) I honestly avoided this place for 3 years. The other day after purchasing a new Glock 29sf at another location I was looking for a couple Pearce grip extensions. This is a very specific part I would generally not expect the average store to have in stock, let alone two of them. After calling every shop in town and not finding this part I thought I’d give S-M a try. Low and behold they had two of them in stock and it was just $ 1 over the lowest price I could find on the Internet. I ran down there and was helped by a very friendly older man that treated both myself and my girlfriend kindly and with respect. The store was absolutely packed with products, albeit maybe a little too much(giving it the junky appearance some complained about). The prices seemed average, for ammo maybe a little high, but overall a good selection and spread of prices. It’s too early to give them a recommendation over a couple of the other shops in town but I am not entirely sure these guys deserve the bad rep they get based on customer service. Time will tell.

Small shop with alot of stuff packed into it. Staff is always friendly to me and I don’t frequent the store but a few times a year. Not the most knowledgable but find the answer when they don’t know. The older man working there is a kick in the pants and gives his guys a hard time which can be amusing. They could benifit from a bigger location to display their product and have ample room for their buying customers. My only negative point is when looking for a specific product instead of getting it for me they’ll try to push me towards something they have in stock but I do not want. This is a business though and I’m sure if I shopped more there they would learn that I know well ahead of time what I want before purchasing it. I definatly would go here before other places in town.
