Denny’s

It was alright. The food was pretty dencent but the service and wait time was horrible and it wasn’t even that busy. I wouldn’t go here unless I had to.

Dennys has never changed. Its a good meal but they could improve more.

Oh my the pumpkin pancakes, with candied pecans, were wonderful. We were satisfied with everything we ordered – coffee was fresh and hot, salads were crisp and green! The service was excellent. We were traveling, and the choices were few and far between, but this turned out to be a good deal! We would definitely eat here again.

Food was bland at best. Ordered the country fried steak with Mac n cheese and cheddar mashed potatoes… Mac n cheese tasted like it came from a generic box. Potatoes just had cheese sprinkled on top. Country fried steak was nothing to talk about just bland!

We were traveling to Kentucky and stopped to meet some friends who live in Evansville, Indiana. Denny’s was a convenient spot for us to meet, so that is what was decided.
We did not have a very good experience.
We got seated immediately, which was pretty much the only thing that went right during our entire visit. It took quite a while for the waitress to get to us to take our orders, a) nd even longer for our food to arrive. When it did, my order had fries on the side instead of the hash browns I had ordered, my husband’s burger (which he ordered plain) was fully dressed with all the toppings he said he did not want, and the waitress never brought the soft drink he had ordered — — although the soft drink was charged on the ticket (which I had her immediately remove). The waitress also never checked back on us to make sure things were going okay — — maybe lucky for her, because they definitely were not.
Another thing that really bothered us is that as people left in our section, the tables just sat there, with all the dirty dinnerware still on them, for a LONG time. No one came around to clean them, until just as we were getting ready to leave. By that time, the tables were looking rather disgusting.
All in all it was not a good experience. I have been in other Denny’s and have been happy with my experience, but not in this one. We will definitely avoid this one if we happen to be passing through the Evansville, Indiana again. At ALL costs.

The climate was freezing when we asked to turn it off it ran continuously … Wait staff couldn’t get the orders straight several thing were messed up I know it’s a chain but worst place we have been… Food was dry and horrible !!!

Denny’s was the closest thing to my hotel and I was exhausted. Too tired to drive across town to find a better restaurant. The waitress (Carol B.) was an absolute peach and the food was surprisingly good. Had a great burger, onion rings and some sort of apple crisp/​vanilla ice cream thing for dessert. Food was hot and came out quickly, and the service was warm and professional.

Nope. Dislike. We waited an hour and a half for a table. We tried to cut them a little slack, because it was Sunday morning. But our table sat empty for a good 20 minutes before they finally gave it to us. We then waited another 30 minutes for our food while the waitress fumbled around us, hitting us in the head with her trays and neglecting any sort of apology. Why on earth does it take 30 minutes to fry up some eggs? Oh, because our waitress let it sit up there for 15 minutes while she flirted with another waiter. I felt like I had to inhale my food to hold in any sort of heat left in it. All the food came out lukewarm. A horrible wait, horrible service, and horrible food thanks to letting it sit out. If you’re in the area, do yourself and the town a favor and look for a local option.

It was all I could expect from a national chain. Service was expedient & pleasant, the food was prepared as promised and appeared at my table hot from the kitchen.
Restroom was well-​maintained.

Sigh…
Stopped in here around 10 pm after a wedding.
I attempted to get a chicken quesadilla with peppers & onions. It was dripping in grease.
I sent it back & got a SUPER BIRD… skimpy, scrappy turkey. and that was greasy too…

We stopped in saturday evening for dinner. We were promptly seated and the waitperson took our order… then disappeared. After noticing quite a few other people around us getting their food, we asked when ours would be ready and she said…
.wait for it…
.hopefully soon.
Then about ten minutes later came back and told us our ticket was lost.
We had to leave. A very ‘I don’t care’ attitude from the waitress.

It’s a Denny’s. Always open, always decent. I’ll give props as long as they keep the coffee filled.
