Is one star the lowest rating? How about negative 3 stars, can we do that ? I’m not usually inclined to do much indoor tanning, but wanted to prep for a trip to Hawaii recently. The older, dried-up, fat blonde lady who is apparently the manager or owner pressured me into buying a six visit card. Great. I used it three times, no complaints about the facility but not exactly friendly service from aforementioned lady, either. Oh well. Vacation time came around again a few months later and I went in to use one of my remaining tans and she rudely informed me that my card was expired(!) Funny, no expiration date, or even fine print, on the card itself, but she handed me a big sheet of fine print that they keep hidden under the counter which basically said that cards expire after X amount of months. Of course, you never see this policy until you try to use your«expired» card, get it? She seemed to take great pleasure in all this, as in «Ah ha… screwed me another honest customer, he he he ». I was like«look, I came in here in good faith, paid you for tans, and just want what I paid for ». No dice. Gotcha on a technicality, which i’m sure is illegal and certainly is immoral, but what the heck ? This is a situation in which the C-word would fit perfectly. Avoid at all costs… unless you are studying law and want to practice your new skills by taking this _____and her illegal scam to court.
