Salon D’ Elegance

Note: This review is from July 2015. I thought I had posted it, but it was still in my cue.
I used to see Angel and I absolutely loved her work. She was very thorough and listened to my instructions. When I called to make an appointment, I found out that Angel was no longer working there. I was so bummed, but needed a pedi and went ahead and saw Mindy. Although Mindy was very friendly and talkative, she didn’t do as thorough of a job as I was used to with Angel. I paid extra for the callus remover treatment and when I left, you could not tell that I had a callus remover treatment. She also tried to put on my flip flops while my my nails were still wet and she smudged the nail polish. Instead of completely removing the polish and redoing that toe, she just painted over it. I think she was in a hurry to get to her next client.
I will no longer be using Salon D’Elegance.

Great service and great prices. My nails look great and the waxing was perfect. Will definitely be back!

Tried them for the first time today with a groupon. Standard basic pedicure and manicure. I prefer no polish on my hands so owner offerred buffing shine at no cost but the technician who performed my service said I had to pay extra. This even after she cut me with the trimming clippers and did not so much as apologize. Another extra charge for gel on my toes without being advised in advance. I will not be going back and certainly would not recommend them based on service and cost.

I came here today with my sister. We both got regular pedicures and gel manicures. The salon looks modern and felt very clean. The equipment was all in separate sanitary bags. My nails look great… it was overall a wonderful experience. I recommend this place for nails.

It was a great place before it was bought by new owner. I bought gel manicure and pedicure from groupon last month. When it’s time to redeem this month, the salon stated this was for regular mani/​pedi. Unfortunately, the groupon didn’t specify this on the voucher and the sale was ended before I redeemed, so I didn’t have a proof. It’s a scam, either from the this salon or groupon.

4 stars for customer service and friendliness … I got full set done by Lisa and didn’t like it. although, she was nice and friendly .it’s her work and quality that I didn’t like. I loved getting my nails done by Nancy but I guess she’s not around anymore :(I will give another try to D’Elegance since I was going there for years and loved my nails.

So here’s my expierience. They downgrade your pedicure if you tell them it’s for the groupon, they charge $ 5 extra to have your old Polish taken off, and they tried to charge extra for another color (like if you got two on one hand). They also push you to get extras, but are unclear about the price until the end. My nails are fine, not super (The shellac lasted a week). After a rough experience and email through groupon to the manager, I went back to pick up my forgotten water bottle and the owner gave me the ten dollars they over charged me my first visit. not the best experience but I appreciate the gesture.

This Salon came under new management in July, 2015, so all other reviews refer to the previous owners. Myle is the new owner and a wonder hair stylist. I have been going to her for a loooong time and won’t go anywhere else to have my hair cut. I have a manicure and pedicure and had a very positive experience. The gals who did the work were very friendly and did an excellent job. My nails lasted 2 months! I highly recommend Salon D’Elegance.

I started going here just before Mai Li assumed ownership in June or July — my first visit was. ok. I thought I’d try it again and it turned out to be just as she took over. I’m now back here every 3 weeks.
Mai Li’s concern for customer services flows down through her staff. Everyone is always pleasant and services are consistent.
I stopped in late Sunday (4:30) hoping to get a gel manicure — Mai Li made time for me to get a pedicure and a manicure which she personally finished up.
Love her girls and love her! I’ll be back!!!

My pedicure was relaxing and looks great. My nails are okay and that was with my pointing out a crooked nail and requesting at least 3 changes.
The owner was warm and inviting and obviously values her customers.
Two out of three people that worked with my friend and I were wonderful. The lady that completed my manicure lacked skill and wasn’t pleasant to talk to. She did sloppy work and once it hit closing time she rushed through the end of my manicure. She also made rude comments about how she wasn’t doing anything else because it was time to go home. This is after I waited 20 minutes for her to finish another manicure.
My friends nails were wonderful and her manicurist (Mimi) was delightful and skilled. I will be requesting her next time!
Overall a nice experience and I will return.

I bought a voucher from Amazon local for a shampoo, haircut and style. I gave them a call and got fitted in the exact same day for my service. I was in and out in a little under an hour and I’m in love!!! My haircut is amazing and my hair looks gorgeous with how they styled it!!! Definitely coming back for more services.

Used to be a great place when Jen owned it but the new owner is rude, pushy and unfriendly. Getting a pedi and she hounds you about getting your hair colored. ??? I have mentioned and politely declined until last time when I asked her if she had a problem with my hair or did it look horrible? She literally said ladies like highlights. WTH! After cutting my pedi short I will never return

I discovered this place on Groupon. I purchased the $ 17 gel nail manicure that would typically go for $ 35. The salon is full service and was absolutely immaculate and clean. We had a bit of a wait, and they were very courteous and provided complimentary beverages while we waited. Besides the manicure I decided to get myself a pedicure as well and my daughter got a manicure and her eyebrows waxed. Everything came out beautifully! The women that helped us were very personable and highly skilled. My daughter and I were extremely pleased and the pricing was fair, just under $ 50. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful salon and the ladies are so friendly and helpful. I got a pedi and gel mani. Great job and products. Very clean and great selection of colors. Highly recommend.

I’m new to this town and so, I heard, is this new management, and it all worked out for the best for me as my first time visit. I had a great experience. Kim did a great acrylic mani-​pedi. She was friendly yet professional. The (new owner), Myle (who was also very professional, efficient and friendly) did a fantabulous job on my «glamourization» — full hair and lowlights and a complimentary haircut to boot! All for $$s — meaning it didn’t break the bank. Awesome! I’m coming back and bringing the whole family for their services.

Disregard all reviews prior to July 2015… new ownership and a great improvement. Love when that happens to a local business!
The new owner, Myle, has been in the beauty biz for 20+ years in Roseville and has relocated to Fair Oaks (San Juan & Madison behind Stanton Optical).
Salon D’Elegance is full service: nails, hair, waxing, etc.
The entire staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. As in they remember your name on your 2^nd visit, offer you a beverage, chat with you, etc. I’ve been to nail salons that charge twice the price but give only a fraction of the service I get here. In a highly competitive industry, this place really stands out in service.
Also, they have quite a male following here (particularly for Myle’s haircuts). Today while I was getting my nails filled I watched in awe as she gave this guy the royal treatment on his haircut. I’m talking cut, the most relaxing scalp massage/​shampoo that I have ever seen, and then style with a neck and shoulder massage. I asked her how much she charges for all that and nearly fell out of my chair when she told me only $ 20! Guys have it so easy it’s ridiculous.
There is even talk of getting a full time esthetician on board (yes please!) So far I have gone here for nails and pedicures. Kim & Mindy equally do a great job. And I’m picky. JoJo really impressed me — can’t wait till she has her baby and comes back!
They are open till 7pm during the week but often accommodate my crazy work schedule and stay a little longer if I call ahead… that earns mad loyalty points from me!
This place is DEFINITELY worth checking out!

I went in on Saturday, ⁸⁄₁₅ and this place is under new ownership! Myle is the new owner and very kind and accommodating. They were having a party for their grand opening (much to my surprise) and invited me to stay for the food and festivities. I wasn’t able to stay but they gave me food anyways.
I got the highest priced pedicure (a girl deserves to splurge every one in a while) and Kim did an EXCELLENT job! They even gave me a discount which was awesome :)
Would highly recommend again and again!

I had a group of 4 of my friends come and visit and we decided to get our nails done. They were able to fit us all in and we’re super accommodating and very friendly. Will definitely come here again!

My mom and I had such an amazing experience. Only two ladies were working– Kim and Mindy. Waited probably five minutes to get seated in the spa pedicure chairs. Kim was still busy with someone so Mindy asked if we wanted to wait a few minutes to get them done together. We did. They talked to us, asked questions about our lives and talked about theirs. I got the Deluxe package which is only $ 25 with sea salt scrub and hot stones. Mindy gave me a longer than average massage because I waited for a little bit prior– definitely made up for it! On top of everything, because it was our first time, they painted on complimentary flowers for my mom and polka dots on me. Had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

They also do facials, massage, and happy.
Massage chairs are very comfortable, thru play relaxing music and don’t force you to talk.
I will be back for a foot massage very soon.
