Once again El Parque provides a surprising and delightful meal. Had their tamales for breakfast today and they’re as delicious as you’ll find the side of the border. And it was a pleasure to see Lupe(formerly of Hukelau & Z’s) is now working there. And you can’t beat their prices!

A cute town bar/Mexican restaurant. Parking is a bit challenging but the food was decent. I got a to go order which was seamless and nothing was wrong. I would say though it wasn’t the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had but also not the worst.

Takeout. We got a fish burrito, chicken and carne asada mini tacos. The tacos themselves weren’t terrible, just a bit worse than what you’d get at a Robertito’s. Two of our tacos had nothing on them aside from the meat, I’m not sure if this was an oversight or by design. The burrito was awful. The fish was soggy, and the cabbage mix was brutally over spiced with pepper. The horchata was even disappointing. I doubt there is worse Mexican food in Fallbrook. I’ve tried most of them. I would give two stars for the tacos, but the fish burrito was inexcusably bad.

This place is awesome! The décor is really cool, food is bomb and they give you huge servings. I stopped here with friends on the way home from camping and didn’t end up ordering anything because I was low on funds and while we were all sitting down they just brought me a bean &cheese burrito. I couldn’t believe it! Definitely coming back next time I come through Temecula.

Wifee and I had dinner there last Thursday, about 5:00 pm. Like other people have said, this place is like a saloon, out of the old west. A bit dirty inside, but we were looking for a hole-in-the-wall experience. We had heard good things about this restaurant and wanted to try it. The counterperson’s attitude was ok. I wouldn’t describe her as «pleasant.» She was doing her job, that’s it. The wifee ordered the Carnitas Plate and I had one of their«famous» chicken tamales and a fish taco. The wifee’s main complaint was that the carnitas was dry – I’m not a fan, but checked it out and verified it. They gave her a small portion of avocado with the Pico De Gallo, which made her unhappy. The rice and refried(not a fan – I like Pintos Negros) beans were acceptable. My fish taco tasted fresh and the fish was battered and crunchy, just the way I like it. On the other hand, the tamale fell way short of even acceptable. I’ve had better tamales almost every time in any other restaurant. I love drinking Horchata and the Horchata at this restaurant had very little taste. Not recommended. Additionally, when one goes to a Mexican restaurant, one can typically expect Mexican music. So, what did they play? Mexican talk radio. Really? Not stimulating dinner music at all. We won’t return.

Very good cheeseburger. The asada burrito was just ok.

Great little spot, tucked across from the live oak park. The food was very good, the service was also very good. The inside is not fancy, just a nice rustic feel. We tried several items on menu and everything was delicious. The food was pretty authentic. We will be back. If you haven’t been here you should give it a try.

This place is amazing! Fantastic breakfast burritos(Ham), great burgers and yummy everything! By far the best Mexican in Fallbrook/Bonsall area. TV’s inside and fun patio overlooking live oak park. You won’t regret eating here!

Good food. The atmosphere is cool. Feels like an old west saloon inside. Kept expecting Zorro to walk in.

Awesome authentic Mexican food! I had the tacos and the were bomb, and the rice and beans is really good too… the best part is they give you a whole bottle of hot sauce to go with your meal! Good hole-in-the-wall spot to eat… found it accidentally just driving around the backwoods areas of fallbrook doing some sight seeing, and I’m glad I stopped here

First time here for lunch and have to say it is so yummy. We ordered the chips and guac to begin and the chips were so warm and freshly made! We also ordered a carnitas burrito which was also so yummy and flavorful. Everything taste so good! A bit of a wait(10min) because there was so many people there. But so worth it! I’ve had tried many Mexican food places and have to say this is top on my list. Parking can be tight here(dirt lot next to restaurant). Outdoor seating with cute views. We found this spot after visiting the park across the street, such a beautiful preserve there!

I grew up down the street from here. Use to love this place. Use to be very authentic and delicious. Use to have the best burritos ever. New Ownership now. It’s disgusting. I will never go back again!

Review two of my attempt to rate every Fallbrook Mexican restaurant. This has been our go — to Mexican place for the few years we’ve lived here for good reason. The food is consistently very good. My favorites are the huge pollo asado burrito, heavy on the perfectly grilled chicken and light on the beans, and the mole, 3 pieces of whole chicken, covered in a delicious spicy chocolate nutty sauce, served with rice and beans, and unfortunately only available Monday and Tuesday. Mole is my favorite dish, Mexican or otherwise, and this one doesn’t disappoint. All the menu items, tortas tacos flautas are very good with the only average one the carnitas burrito. I’ve had better. The Mexican fare here is enough for 5 stars but since the ownership has changed in the last year, several American dishes have been added including a chicken sandwich on a pretzel roll and a bacon cheeseburger with 3 choices of cheese including Gouda! The food is first rate and the prices are reasonable. Five stars!

I like the food here. It’s a bit pricey but on this end of town it’s really your only choice other than the fallbrook golf coure. Parking isn’t very good and sometimes the patrons are a little tipsy. But the food is good

The Nessy Burger has nothing on these guys! We visit El Parque at least twice a month on those lazy weekend Saturday mornings. The updated menu includes awesome hamburgers and a great breakfast sandwich. All of the Mexican fare is still available, but for those who think all they have is Mexican food… not anymore! Staff is friendly, and sitting outside overlooking Reche Rd and Live Oak Park is relaxing. Our dog is welcome outside on the patio as well. They keep it clean, family oriented and from what I can tell based on the amount of people enjoying Menudo — it is awesome. We have become regulars.

I’m so sad to leave this comment… We have been to el Parque for YEARS! we were back in town and my husband went for chips and guacamole. To us, this means the normal home made/cooked chips, awesome homemade guac and a large amount of cheese on top. What we got was red and blue chips with standard globs of guac and no cheese. I’m so disappointed. I understand that they are under new management. Unfortunately, we won’t be back. :(

I don’t know how anyone could give this place a bad review. The food is amazing! I moved to Fallbrook the beginning of the year and found this place right away. What a find! I recommend the carnitas tacos, the chicken tacos and probably the best posole I’ve ever had,(I am a white guy though). The tamales are also very good. Obviously made with homade masa. It’s a very casual place. I like the fact that you can sit outside on a nice day and enjoy a cold beer with your food also. Gotta have it at least once a week!
