Mary Jane North

I moved to California two years ago, and it has been very hard for me to find a stylist that I like and connect to. I decided to try a stylist in Fallbrook, and checked the Unilocal reviews. I came across Mary Jane North salon, and made my appointment with Maureen. Needless to say, she did not disappoint! I have the best haircut and color that I have had in the last two years! She is very thorough, and takes her time to know exactly what you want. Not only does she do spectacular work, but she is extremely pleasant to talk to! I will definitely be going back to Maureen for all my hair needs! :)

SEASON is nothing short of AMAZING!!! I would recommend her to anyone for a cut, color or any problem! She really listens and she is truly an expert in all things hair :) I entered the stylish, comfortable, relaxing and friendly salon with a pretty terrible do… bad color job and not the hippest cut but Season changed all that… she has gradually worked her magic each visit and transformed my hair… I am always pleased! I try not to wash my hair for 4 days;) I also notice her amazing work on whoever is there before me! IAN also does AMAZING work… can’t help noticing! Plus, he once washed my hair and I was in heaven with the head massage… it seems like you can’t go wrong with anyone in this salon. Two thumbs up!

It is always tough moving from one stylist to another — but with Season it was a breeze! I had no worries — I was in excellent hands! She helped me straighten out a wonky color situation and helped balance a chunk that the last stylist chopped out of the back of my hair! (really! can you imagine??) And then when I had a health issue arise and began losing my hair, she helped me come up with a style that made it all ok — and now that my hair is growing back in — she is expertly guiding my style through the different stages of regrowth. She is an expert at color and master cutter. I love my time with Season. And I love this salon. It’s great! I HIGHLY recommend. Can you tell? :-)

Maureen did a great job on my blowout, she did an awesome job and was friendly and professional at the same time, highly recommend Maty Jane North, my new favorite salon in Fallbrook.

I cannot say enough good things about this salon and my stylist, Maureen. Making my appointment was as easy as it gets– all done online with an email sent to confirm.
I went in with a terrible cut and color done at another salon. I had a vague idea of what I wanted, but it was VERY vague. Maureen made sure to do a very thorough consultation– asking a lot of questions and even getting her phone out to show me pictures, asking what I liked and didn’t like about certain colors and styles.
Long story short– Maureen is a miracle worker. I walked in saying «I hate my hair» and walked out feeling beautiful saying «my hair is perfect». She was great to talk to and very skilled at what she does. And her passion for hair really shows.
The atmosphere in the salon is casual but professional. Not at all stuffy. Very comfortable. I absolutely love this place and it deserves every bit of 5 stars!!!

Ian did a great job on my hair. I just moved to the area, and was in desperate need of a hair cut. I have lots of layers (which I am trying to grow out), and Ian and I knew it was going to be difficult achieving the style I want. But he listened very carefully to me, and did a fabulous job in getting me so much closer to that particular style I want. I will definitely come back!

Season has been cutting my hair every month now for a year and a half. She does a fantastic job! I have never had a hairdresser before that can consistently cut my hair the same way each time. I used to sort of dread getting a haircut because I was never sure how it would turn out. Now I look forward to it. Not only is she a real professional, but a very nice person as well. Give Season and the Salon a try, you won’t be disappointed.

I’m thrilled to report that this salon — and Ian — are, in fact, everything other reviewers have claimed. At Ian’s invitation, I went back today to see about having my hair cut corrected, and I am so happy I took him up on it!
Ian spent time talking to me about where things went wrong last week with one of his stylists and understood my frustration at the way my cut turned out.
He did a fantastic job at cutting my hair to accommodate the very short layers the other stylist had cut last week and I am very happy with the result. I was also able to find some styling cream to add to my routine and give my hair a more chunky look.
The salon is very stylish and modern looking, a refreshing addition to our small town. I will definitely be back for hair cuts and even color. It’s always a huge plus to find a business in town that does a great job and takes good care of their clients.
And I will definitely be bringing my daughter along next time. After today, I know they will do a great job cutting her curly hair.

Last week, I saw Season for a haircut and highlights. She did a great job! I love my hair, and I look forward to seeing her again. The salon is adorable, and the online scheduling is very convenient.

I’m always jumping from one hair salon to the next hoping for once I’ll be happy with the cut, and I think I found the place. I have thick, long, curly hair that is hard to manage, and I feel as if most stylists don’t know what they’re doing with it. Ian knew exactly what to do and we were both on the same page with what we wanted the finished product to look like. I left the salon loving my hair and I know I’ll be back.

Went here for the first time today and had my hair cut by Emily. She did a fantastic job and was very friendly and personable. I’ll be back for sure!

I had no idea this salon was in town! I’m sorry I didn’t discover it sooner. I had a Vitamin C peel. I definitely noticed a real difference in my skin when I left. Highly recommend!

I love this place! I have been going to Season for years and the Fallbrook salon just makes me feel at home! I’ve sent many people Seasons way and will continue to send more! Ian and Season are the best! You WONT be disappointed!

A cool salon with a unique style. I loved my hair color and I am so glad they are now in my hometown. Ian and Season were so good to me. When I head home to visit my parents, this is my «go to» Salon. I LIKE!

I have lived in Fallbrook for over 2 years, and had been too scared to try any salons in town. I finally deicded, after not having any color in my hair for over a year, to try Mary Jane North. When I went in to make my appointment, Emily greeted me and was so nice. She asked what I was wanting to do with my hair and I told her ombré and a trim. I came back the next day and informed her that I didn’t think that I could afford the price of the ombré. She asked me what my budget was because she wanted to give me somthing I would be happy with and that I was excited about. She told me about a groupon they had going on and I was able to get my ombré color and cut within my budget. Emily was awesome! She took her time and did a great job, without taking hours to finish my hair. She was great at making conversation with me while she was working and making me feel comfortable. I had on overall great experience and would recommend Mary Jane North, especially Emily to anyone looking for a great salon

This salon is one of the best I have been to. There was some scheduling conflicts, and Ian went above and beyond to make it work. I purchased the groupon, and by far this is the best service I have ever received with knowing the situation. I have never been so impressed with the accommodations that this salon provided.
My hair looks absolutely amazing! Amanda is the color genius! Ian is also fantastic at his cuts. I will definitely be returning!

This place is awesome! I went in with my sister to get my hair trimmed and my sister got a long bob, which was super cute! Emily is great, she did both of our haircuts and they look fabulous! Definitely my new favorite salon!

New to Fallbrook and so nice to find a local hair salon that I love. Emily is amazing and would highly recommend her. She does a wonderful job, very sweet and I enjoy talking with her. The salon is clean, comfy & everyone is friendly. Love the location in downtown Fallbrook and easy parking.
