Worst service. Do not go here! They don’t pick up their phone all day and after driving all the way there they refuse to honor the groupon for canvas stretching! They claim it says so in the fine print but it does not. Just bad service all in all, do not recommend this business.

KH has all the charm of a truly small, local business. I went to have my college diplomas framed and even though it was a small job, Gustavo took his time and thought through colors of the matting with me as if I were his most important customer. He explained a few interesting facts about diploma framing as well. I could definitely tell that he has a lot of skill and experience– this is who I would trust to frame nicer art in the future.

I had a picture that I framed myself. Unfortunately, it did not look that great. I brought it to KH and it was fixed up just right. The price was more than fair and he did an excellent job!

Gustavo was friendly and extremely helpful. The Groupon or Livingsocial deals are good, but just go in and talk to him. He’s willing to work with you and you can probably save the hassle of having to buy a coupon. Turnaround time was excellent and I had my painting framed in only 4 days! Gustavo did an excellent job and I really appreciated him helping me out with the price. Check/​Cash is preferred, so be prepared. Will definitely go back for my picture/​painting framing needs.

After reading all the reviews, I had accidently come here instead of the Arlington location. I was a bit skeptical b/​c of some of the negative reviews but luckily my experience was pretty good.
Gustavo, the guy who runs this place, does know his stuff and did a great job with everything. He doesn’t push you into anything which is nice. Before I came to pick up my pieces, he made a change to the matting on one of them because it wasn’t looking good the way we had talked about. He was right in that the original way would not have looked good but when I went to pick it up, I wasn’t sure I liked it. He was very nice about it and we tried to see if something else would work. At the time we couldn’t find anything else and he said to take it home and if it didn’t work I could bring it back in to get changed for free.
The prices are fairly reasonable here (similar to Michaels) but as others mentioned, he doesn’t take credit cards. He does state that on the invoice and he did tell me that before I left. The only other issue with this place is he does not take Unilocal,living social, groupon, etc, deals. If you really want to use it, he will make the price of framing higher and you will pay more than what he initially quotes you at.
There is a small parking lot here so you don’t have to worry about trying to find street parking.

Gustavo helped me find the perfect frame for my prints. He asked about the furniture surrounding it and the lighting of the room, and then gave me several options to choose from. Aside from the Unilocal deal (which cannot be combined), he offered 50% off custom framing. Compared to other businesses in the area I was left with an easy decision. Competitors may have their fancy computers to show you a virtual result, but I felt the experience at KH was pleasant, not pushy, and he also let me keep it there for over a month until Father’s Day! Also, if you’re not used to paying in cash, there is an ATM next door at BB&T.

This review is solely about the framing store and not about any voucher deals.
The guy who runs this place knows his craft well and really does an excellent, well-​priced, and exacting job with your artwork. He states on his invoices and in the store that he doesn’t take credit cards (who knows why, but whatever) so there’s no excuse there.
I’ve had several items stretched and framed at this KH store and at the one in Arlington. They are both of outstanding quality, but the KH store in Falls Church is much less busy and has a shorter turnaround time. I thought the price for custom frame, mat, and stretching (about $ 60 for a 8“x10″ fabric piece) to be very reasonable; i’ve also had him restretch things that weren’t to my satisfaction and he did so very well.
This is a great store!

They don’t take credit cards!!! WHO DOESN’T TAKE CREDIT CARDS???
They didn’t tell me in person the first time (it’s on their slip in TINY print) so when I went to get my framed piece, I didn’t have cash with me. It was ridiculous so I had to come back a second time.

The downside first: I bought a livingsocial voucher for this place, thinking I was saving tons of money — $ 69 for &169. What could go wrong? I get there and the guy tells me there is a 50% off deal for framing, however, I can’t get the 50% off if I use the living social voucher. I had a pretty large print I was framing for a Christmas gift which proved very pricey. After a lot of back and forth, I determined I could use my voucher and end up PAYING MORE, or I could get the 50% off deal, paying less, but wasting my living social voucher for which I already paid. A real Sophie’s choice. In either case, I ended up paying significantly more than I would have without the voucher.
Aside from constantly reminding me how bad livingsocial is (then why do you sign up for it???), the guy working there was very pleasant. He recommended what would be best for the print and helped me pick out a reasonable frame. It was about a week to finish, but the end product was beautiful. One weak point is that he doesn’t take credit cards so I had to write him a check. There is a lot of art already in the store so if you are looking for something to decorate your place, KH is worth browsing. Just be aware of any deals before opting for a voucher.
