Stuff A Bagel at the University

Great customer service, bagels are decent, and prices are meh. Can definitely rely on this place for breakfast/​lunch! I give it a ⁵⁄₅!

I don’t eat bagels often. I’ve been here a few times and the plain bagel with cream cheese is OK (because we’re on Long Island so naturally the bagels are good here). But really it’s not that good, especially compared to the gazillion other bagel stores around. If you are craving a bagel it will get the job done but you won’t think «WOW that was a bagel. I am satisfied.»
Since bagels are NOT a healthy choice, if I’m going to eat one, I would prefer it to be a GREAT one.
A plain bagel with regular cream cheese is $ 3.28. Meh

I have lived in Farmingdale for 9 years and would go to the original establishment on main st because my wife (who has lived here since 1975) raved about it. Well after receiving my order wrong 3 times in a row (yes, THREE TIMES) I started going to the deli across the street from the college. It was with much dismay when I saw my little deli being taken over by the owner of SAB as Stuff a Bagel 2. So now I didn’t have much of a choice as it was now the two closest places for breakfast. So I thought I’ll just order two bagels with cream cheese so they can’t mess up my breakfast sandwich a fourth time. When I heard the price, I almost dropped my wallet. Two bagels with cream cheese was over $ 7.00!!! I said to the girl no way am I paying that. You can take one off and just give me one. So I ended up paying $ 3.28 for a single bagel with cream cheese. Has ANYONE ever paid such a ridiculous price for a bagel here on Long Island? Now I know how the owner had the money to invest in the new Starbucks on Conklin St. Never again will I give money to this business nor will I step into his Starbucks.

This was my first time ordering from this location, as I’m usually visiting the Bethpage location. I placed an order for delivery at 9:30 am for an egg sandwich (no meat), chicken salad sandwich and an iced coffee. My lunch sandwich said it comes with Pickle Wedge, Cole-​Slaw, Macaroni Salad, Classic Potato Salad, Red Skin Potato Salad, Gourmet Pasta Salad, Italian Pasta, Bowtie Pasta, Buffalo Chicken Pasta, Quinoa Salad, Cucumber Salad, Broccoli Salad, Banana or Apple but when I asked for one I was told it was 75 cents extra for anything besides potato, macaroni, or coleslaw. (Bethpage doesn’t charge any more for this) I work down the road no more than 8 minutes away and my order showed up at 10:45. My egg sandwich was ice cold and my coffee was leaking in the bag. Also, for items with not much substance, I was surprised my order came to $ 20. Not too thrilled to start off my morning with cold breakfast and ¾ of a coffee.

Good bagels and friendly staff but my 3 stars is more about the prices of the bagels. Almost $ 3 for a bagel with butter and over $ 3 for a bagel with cream cheese — just way too much money when other places with the same quality bagels are charging $ 1.50 for a bagel with butter. I would go there more because it’s so convenient but unfortunately I’m really disappointed with the price.

Very disappointed. Been coming almost every other day since you opened. The staff knew my son and my names when we walked in. Every experience has been great till today. I did not have cash with me and wanted to use my credit card since it was under 10 $ they refused me. I usually spend $ 15-​$ 20 each time. I can’t believe this is how u treat loyal customers. I understand if u have a policy but I have never used a credit card here before. Sometimes u need to make an acception. I am very disappointed with how was I treated today and I said that I would not come back. There’re are plenty other bagel stored around that need business

Clean store, great bagel with delicious olive pimento spread. Friendly service to boot, will return when I am in the area.

Awesome deliciousness, plus free samples whilst you wait! They offer student discounts, but only to Farmingdale students. When this made me sad (I go to Suffolk) the counter guy gave me a free cookie. Talk about customer service.

Clean place with fast service, a helpful staff and tasty food.

Been coming to this location as well as the one on main street for years. Very unhappy with this location and the manager (the boss’s daughter) and her attitude every time I walk in here. Never really had a problem with it until recently which has led me to posting this. I get a very uncomfortable feeling when I go in there and order, almost like she does not want to be there and is agitated with me ordering. The staff is under strict ruling of her and act like robots and you can see they’re miserable as well. The place still has a credit card minimum of $ 10 which is absurd considering it’s a bagel store and it’s hard for one person to spend that in there. It’s 2015, there should not be credit card minimums anymore, especially considering I’m not getting the food delivered. My order has been wrong, missing meat I paid extra for on multiple occasions and that isn’t even the main reason for me writing this. The manager’s attitude and unpleasant vibe is really what will keep me from coming back here and from telling all of my friends and family to come here. I have a huge network of individuals at SUNY Farmingdale and work in the Melville area and will certainly spread the word. I hate to be like this but it has been going on for the last year now and there needs to be new management or a change in this deli– please have it replicate the Main street location because that one is ran CORRECTLY.

This bagel store just has everything going for it… great customer service, everybody is so friendly and cheerful. Bialys are second to none… more onions than you have ever seen. The shredded home fries are not to be missed. This is my go to breakfast spot and I recommend you stop in and make it yours.

Right across the street from Farmingdale State College. Great for catering and take out. They did an awesome job catering our office Christmas party last year. Very friendly service and lots of tasty menu options.

Ordered take out for the first time here and it was very good! The staff was super nice and friendly. The egg sandwich was hot and fresh. The pancakes were okay — a little spongy but still good. And a plus is their open on a Sunday! Definitely will order from here again.

First time I came here when they first opened I was pleased with my experience. The bagels were good + cream cheese was yummy.
Second time, not so great. The staff acts as if you’re bothering them when you try to place an order. Also, two bagels with scallion cream cheese and two small iced coffee will be running you around $ 13. Really overpriced for the area.
Today I was in the mood for bagels so off we went to give them another try. First, they forgot one of the bagels I ordered. Then, they made the bagel and did not toast it as asking. Taking an order for 3 bagels is not rocket science, somehow they manage to screw it up twice. First forgetting it completely, then not toasting it. Get it together.
On another note, their crumb cake is out of this world delicious. It’s a hit or miss with the staff, which is unfortunate. It appears with the older staff members you receive great service. When the young college kids are working it’s a bother to even get them to take your order, and even more of a problem to get the order correct.
Hoping the owners will get more mature staff in there to provide better customer service. The food itself is good, it’s the young staff that really brings this place down.

We have often ordered lunch and breakfast from Stuff A Bagel and it’s great every time! The staff is always polite and the food never disappoints. My egg sandwich last week was cooked perfectly and totally fresh. Try their side salads too– they are delicious. And don’t worry about the price of the sandwiches; they never skimp on the meat– guaranteed you’ll be stuffed!

I love this place. The owners/​staff are really nice, the menu is extensive, the prices are good and the food is good as well. I also love that I can text my order in.

Great over the phone, if you’re lucky enough to get the Ms’s. Bagels are above par for Long Island and sandwiches are alway made deliciously. Those lucky SUNY students get a discount too! This is the current everyday breakfast go to.

Good sandwiches at a good price. Less expensive than the other delis around.

Casual fun eatery near the SUNY Farmingdale campus. Very basic accommodations but… eager to please, always! And a cheerful group of owners/​staffers!

This place is great. The people who own the place are extremly nice and their food is delicious. Great for anybody looking for a mouth-​watering sandwich
