Let me start by saying that I have had two good massages with Massage Envy. The manager is definitely a bit unprofessional. When I tried to cancel my account, over a 3 week period with repeated calling and employees telling me that there is nothing they could do, I was greeted with an argumentative response over the payments from the manager. She was condescending when I inquired about not understanding why I would have to pay for a service that I didn’t use and repeatedly talked over me. The reason for wanting to cancel my massage was that on the third month of massages, after a half marathon, I told my masseuse that I needed focus on my legs and instead focused on my shoulders. Additionally, my masseuse talked the entire time and I felt like I was not receiving a massage that should be valued at $ 49.95. If you are looking for a massage, look else where.

First, I just want to say that I love my therapist, who unfortunately no longer works here due to terrible management. She is one of now four employees who have gone elsewhere for employment. Things went well on the massage end for each one of my trips, but the manager was always a bit unprofessional, as well as a few members of the front desk staff who would gossip while they worked within ear shot of the clients waiting for their massage. The last straw for me was the last time I went, I had a 12:00PM appointment on my work break. My therapist came out from the massage area at 12:00PM and told me she would be right with me. The manager proceeded to pull my therapist into her office and shut the door. Myself and the other client in the waiting room heard loud and clear yelling and cussing through the wall. 15 minutes later, now 12:15PM, my therapist came out of the office crying and visibly shaken. She apologized thoroughly to me, told me she would be right with me, and went into the massage area to clean up and compose herself. Finally, at 12:20PM I was taken back for my appointment with a clearly distraught and upset therapist. I filled out the feedback form on Massage Envy’s website, but unfortunately the response went straight to the manager I was complaining about. She called and left me a very unprofessional voicemail saying«I’m sure you won’t call back.» She also bad mouthed my therapist and gave me all kinds of unnecessary information about how she was going to fire her, etc. To top it off, she said that they do cuss sometimes and that she hoped I would follow my therapist to where ever she goes to work next. She never apologized(just blamed everything on the therapist) or offered to compensate me for the 20 minutes I had to wait for my scheduled appointment(which cut my appointment that I paid full price for short). I actually contacted Customer Experience at the Corporate Office too and never received a response. Clearly this company does not value their members, professionalism, or a non-hostile work environment for employees.

Have been members for 3+ yrs now. The massages are great. M.E. is a no frills basic massage for a minimal price. Well worth the money. However you lose your prepaids if you don’t use them that month, they say you don’t but they always disappear. I’ve heard many customers complain and have had some friends quit completely due to that. Tip? Use your prepaids when they’re due!!!

Okay, I have to write something since ME only has 1 review and it’s negative. I’ve been coming here since they opened and I love it. Just like any spa you take the chance of getting a therapist you don’t like. However I do think it’s up to the client to speak up if you don’t like something. I too have had the ‘talkative’ therapist in the past and I just didn’t go back to that person. I will say they are all highly trained. I had one issue with a therapist who i felt gave a bad massage. I explained the reasons why and the techniques she used and the owner credited the massage back to my account. Being a regular has perks here!

A total waste of money!!! When you walk in they start with a very awkward sales pitch. That would be OK if the massage was great. Myself and a friend booked and had the exact same story when we left, so clearly it was not isolated to one therapist. The therapist talked through the entire massage and the massage itself was weak at best. I left and needed to book another massage at a different place because I felt like I hadn’t had a massage. Look elsewhere, this is a waste of time and money.
