Like a 50s diner with fish entrees, country music and peanut shells on the floor. Plenty of entrees to choose, including beef, poultry, fish, pork. The crayfish chowder was tasty and piping hot. A simple salmon Caesar salad was a satisfying light dinner choice. My friend enjoyed the crusty fish and chips.

Best food we’ve had out in a long time. The service was lightning fast and super friendly. Totally worth the drive out of our way to drive here. Definitely coming back.

The company was amazing but the food did not hold up to the standards. The steaks were thinly cut and Unflavorful. Lacking salt and pepper. The steaks were over cooked and under seasoned. The chicken was dry. The steak fries were cold and baked beans set out so long they had a film on them. The bake potatoes were day old potatoes. We did not get rolls until after we got our meals and never a refill. We dropped a pretty penny for penny worth of steaks. We were a party of 16 and ¾ were all adults. Not sure we will be going back. Suppose to be a steak house but the steaks we could of had better closer to home.

As we entered the hostess was decent but not very inviting. The place was really empty for 715pm on a Sunday night. I began to think if something was wrong here. We were seated and enjoyed the yeast rolls that are given as a complementary snack. Because it was my daughter’s birthday she thoroughly enjoyed the prime rib and I had the fish and chips which were okay. I substituted my chips for a roadhouse salad, the salad was tired and wilted not the same as I’ve had numerous times in the past. The waiter was very good but overall something is missing. It seems that the magic is gone and the excitement of going to this place wasn’t the same as it had been in the past. Perhaps I just went on an off night. Our waiter was very generous as he brought my daughter a molten chocolate cake with ice cream and a short birthday song, a nice touch to a uneventful evening.

Katy’s filet was downright delicious and cooked just right. Rolls were yummy but the fried pickles could use some work. Service was great but took quite a bit to get our food. Overall would recommend this place. Kind of like a Texas or Logans Roadhouse.

When I think of Jimmy Macs I think of Southern food! It was our first time here I’ve seen it passing by a couple times so we decided to give it a go. Waited about 15 minutes, Sucks that we had to stand there in front of two other parties with a baby in carseat no seating. As you come theres a bunch of nut shells on the floor, I thought to myself why isn’t anyone cleaning it up then saw a buser buy literally toss a basket of nuts to the floor and stepped right on them!(I am a clean freak and this made me feel disgusted)! The interior and decorations remind me of an old classic American movie lol. Staff, decent not what I expected though. We order the two for combo deal which the portions were a rip off but my steak was good and my hubs sausage was average. All and all I would personally stick with Famous Daves since it is similar and I love there hospitality alot better.

Get the spinach and artichoke with jalapeño dip and peta bread. So so so good! Friendly staff and food prices. The only thing that I’m iffy on is how you get your own peanuts. You should grab a bowl and scoop up some peanuts. I saw a guy reach his hand in to grab a bunch. That’s disgusting. Like… super super disgusting.

Didn’t know what to expect from the busy parking lot. But hoped it was because of their amazing service and tantalizing food items. They didn’t dissapoint. We opted for the bar and were lucky to have the last two bar seats open during a very busy happy hour. April was our bartender and besides sweet, very helpful and entertaining. We eaves dropped on her Costa Rica conversation and about freckled girls in Hawaii. Lol. You can tell her bar rail full of men are enamored. She was a great bartender and kindly brought us more bread per my request ‘To Go.’ The manager was singing, the servers seemed happy, the food was great. We will be back.

The food is pretty good– it’s a central meeting place for a co-worker and I to meet. The biggest disappointment is that their fries are not homemade :(

Went for the first time with a few friends. Wasnt very busy but it took forever to get our burgers. When the food came all of it was cold and didn’t have much flavor. I wouldn’t go back again. Or if I did I wouldn’t get a hamburger

We are in Federal Way this weekend as the kids are competing at Battle in Seattle speed skate competition at the skating rink. I called earlier this week to make reservations and spoke to the Manager Curt, he was very nice and assured me they would have room for our 30 – 40 members of the team. Mid morning it occurred to us that we would be done skating early so I called. …again Curt was helpful and told us they would have tables ready. We arrived 10 minutes before our scheduled time. …and another team had shown up ahead of us and somehow in the confusion they ended up in our seats. Curt was quick to pull together another group of tables and we were actually still seated by our scheduled time! The service was amazing, food was hot and great as always, drinks were kept full and all our kids were happy(there was alot of them). Overall we had a wonderful experience and enjoyed our 90 minutes of down time in the midst of a crazy weekend! Thank you to all the staff and management! I highly recommend this place for large groups! :)

Took my mom here for lunch the other day. She got the lunch salmon. I got a 6oz Top sirloin. Service was okay. A bit slow. I felt like I was pretty constantly looking for someone. The food was really good though. My steak was amazing. Cooked perfectly. The server even asked me to cut into it while she was there to ensure it was cooked how I wanted which I appreciated. I am not a huge fan of their rolls but my mom loves them and the fact that they are«unlimited» basically. I hear that the honey butter they give you with it is also pretty good. Nice relaxing lunch over all. We did not partake in any peanuts but there were a few tables around us that seemed to be enjoying them and the fun throwing them on the floor. I would say give them a try.

The filet was amazing & delicious… the yeast rolls were the best thing ever! The crab cakes were not good at all. Maybe because I’m from the East Coast and I have an expectation of what crab cakes should taste like, I don’t recommend them at all. Everything else I had was really good. The service was ok, nothing to brag about. Overall, I will have to go back and try it again and see if maybe it was just a bad night there and that’s why the service was poor.

This place is a lots of fun and a solid value. Nice casual atmosphere with great food and good service. The dinner rolls and sweet butter are amazing. Free peanuts are a nice added bonus and throwing the shells on the floor is fun. This is one of our spots for out of town guests, especially when we have a big group.

My husband and I went tonight for dinner because we had a $ 50 gift cert to use. He’s been really digging pulled pork whenever he can try it and said that it was some of the best he’s had! I had the prime rib and it was delicious! We’ve been many times before, I’ve tried a couple seafood dishes and was less than impressed. We figured out tonight that meat is their thing. Our server Sara was awesome too. Was around when we needed her but didn’t hover or make us feel rushed. Sweet girl.

This place was okay. We went with some friends and their kids and it is definitely kid friendly. The good: Rolls, onion rings, baked potato and very friendly staff The not so good: $ 28 for a pretty flavorless steak and a salad swimming in dressing All in all a good experience I just think it’s highly over priced for what you get.

Sure, it’s cool to throw the peanut shells on the floor, but if they can’t space out their almost identical neon Seahawks signs, then God only knows what’s happening in the kitchen.

Food was decent but probably the smallest portions I have ever seen in a BBQ joint. If it wasn’t for the free(and delicious) dinner rolls, I would have left hungry after eating my $ 26.00 «dinner». Meat is expensive but I can’t imagine why they would be so cheap with sides like baked beans and coleslaw. Each of these items were no more than two or three tablespoons. Again the food was excellent. The service was adequate. The atmosphere(at the bar) was drunk and loud.

Me and my husband came here for dinner… The food was great… We ordered the steaks with the backed potatoes and the salad and the crawfish chowder… The waitress was very friendly and the place looked fun with all the peanut shells on the floor… We had a nice time and left full and satisfied We definitely will be back

I wasn’t sure if this place would be good, because some of the reviews here are pretty bad. But my husband and I were both very satisfied with our food. There were four other adults in our party, and they all seemed reasonably satisfied with their food(based on the fact that they pretty much ate it all) but I didn’t ask them about their food. The one bad thing was that the service was super sloooooooowwww. We were seated by 7:15, but our food wasn’t served to us until 8:00. The place was virtually empty(only 3 other tables were seated), so I don’t know what caused such a delay. No explanation or apology was offered. Other than that, service was okay. FYI, I got the grilled shrimp, which was delicious, especially the sauce. I also got the crabcake, and it was fine, but the sauce made it better. The sweet potato fries were mushy, though. The rolls were delicious, but boy they can really fill you up fast, so I limited myself to just one(boy, that was tough!). Hubby got ribs and pulled pork, which he loved but couldn’t finish(because he at 3 rolls! LOL!) He said the french fries were good. And his Caesar Salad looked amazing, and he ate every bit of that.

So what should i say about Jimmy Mac? I have been here so many times. It is definitely not the best place on earth to get steak, but you know what. For the price I pay and the amazing yeast roll, I say Jimmy Mac Roadhouse is a very good place for food and a fun one too. Let me rate the thing I enjoy most, as soon as you walk in to the restaurant, you will be served with the basket of delicious peanuts and a warm raised yeast roll. You all know about the peanuts, you crack ‘em then you throw ‘em. Now the yeast roll, it is warm and sweet. Spread it with little butter and it is one tasty piece of yeast roll. The other 2 popular dishes I ate at Jimmy Mac is the Lunch Rib Eye and the Sausage. The Rib eye is little salty but it is one delicious piece of steak for the price. If you go their for lunch, please get the Rib eye. You will be satisfied with it. Now what about the Sausage? It is soft and the dipping sauce is actually delicious: It is honey mustard. One of my buddy loves it so much. He actually drinks it as a shot. So you know how good it is. Well, Jimmy Mac is actually deserved 4 Stars on my list. Good job! Will update the review as I go since I come here quite a bit.

I’ve been wanting to go here since I moved to the area back in 2008. I was having a horrible morning. was starving. Decided to FINALLY stop in for a bite. Sat at bar. female bartender was super nice. 1 other sat at bar doing some crossword puzzle. outloud but apparently the bar tender knew him so it was ‘okay’. No looney bin. He even asked for my help lol. So I didn’t want alcohol at the bar and orders a strawberry lemonade instead. to which I spill all over the dang bar. the culmination of being sick 3 days. having a horrible morning, losing my memory and then the spill. Sign me up for the white padded room. Well the puzzle man asked if I could help him out on a word. I did and found the right one… but I cheated and used google search. lol Ordered a cup of Craw Fish Chowder since my appetite decided to take a leave of absence after the spill. It was really good and should have ordered the bowl. At least I came away with a smile that the bartender reciprocated back and made me feel that the rest of the day would be much better. I needed that. Thank you Miss Bartender lady!
