Went there on my birthday recently and sat out on the deck. The view was wonderful, and the food was good. However, a gust of wind caught the table umbrella and lifted it up out of the holder and into my face. It hit my nose and eye, but didn’t do much damage. However, oil got all over my blouse and ruined it. The manager gave me her card and told me to contact her for reimbursement of any dry-cleaning bills. I thought they would have offered to pay for the meal, or something! I got a check to cover the cost of the blouse, but that’s it, no gift certificate or anything else.

Food was great. I just wish there was a kids menu or half portions available. The view is amazing! The staff was 5 stars!

Came in on a beautiful Thursday night at 7:30pm to relax after a long day of work. Ordered many appetizers, and a few drinks. After finishing our food around 8:50, asked for another round of drinks and were told«no» as they closed at 9 pm. Really? As we sat there, more people came in and were turned away. Obviously an establishment for the retired community that doesn’t work and eats dinner at 4pm. Won’t be going back since they can’t accommodate my 9 – 6 work schedule, disappointing as the food was great and I had money to spend

Great restaurant! We’ve been coming in for years I love the staff, the food and you can’t beat the amazing view. If you plan on dining there during the weekend I suggest you make a reservation because they fill up fast. Last time my wife and I dined there she tried the lamb osso bucco special, talk about wow! We were celebrating my retirement and the waitress brought me a desert to congratulate me. She was a younger girl that I hadn’t seen there before. I wish I could remember her name because she was very nice! We look forward to coming back. It is our go to restaurant for special occasions. My one complaint for management is the young lady hosting up front. She was extremely rude, not a good way to act when you are the first person the customer sees while walking through the door. But other than that, great place! Look forward to returning!

So far, not so good. Waiting for a very rude hostess to get a table for 6 ready in a not busy restaurant. More after we eat.

Was looking for just good Italian food nothing romantic but something different then Olive Garden. The food was delish but for bringing a friend it seemed romantic which I didn’t want. Nothing to complain about it was just awkward for me lol. I recommend this place for sure. Great food!

On Thursday, July 30 at 5:30PM our group of 27 arrived at Verrazano’s for a dinner reservation and found the tables all set up as for a banquet with silverware, menus, and greeted by Tommy, our primary contact. Some of our friends arrived early and were promptly attended to with drink orders and an explanation of menu items, specials and some really attempting salad offerings. Once settle in, our orders were taken and, like clockwork, after a reasonable wait, our meals were arriving, hot and palatable for eager diners. There were orders of cannelloni. Pizza, eggplant parmesan, and one of our guests had the traditional spaghetti and meatballs. When asked about hi his choice, «How were the meatballs?» he responded with on word, «Big!» The portions were generous enough that many with smaller appetites left with take-out boxes to be enjoyed later at home. Many restaurants with a large crowd for a meal will take a long time to get all the checks in order, in a timely manner and to the right people. Here, I witnessed a methodical approach to this by Neisha, who also had waited on us. She had stacked all the bill folders by the desk computer and one by one registering, installing change and quickly delivering them to departing diners. The atmospheres was so inviting, the view and the friendliness of Verrazano staff members, that many stayed and enjoyed socializing until the last wine was finished. One question was left open as we parted, «When are we coming back again?» Not all went as well as we would have liked and there is always a «sour note» to be heard. Ours was«The prime rib was too tough and chewy!» I recommended the«Out Back» to this complaint.“ I would highly recommend this restaurant for great food, ample servings, ambience, magnificent view, and a wonderful, attentive staff. Thank you, Tommy and Neisha of Verrazano’s! We will be back, and soon.

Great view with great food! A bit more on the pricey side(average $ 16-&18) for a dish. I had the blackened salmon salad was fresh and filling. Everyone with me had various dishes like pizza and lasagna and were extremely happy. The view is great for lunch or sunset. The downside? The service. There were only about 6 people eating at the restaurant and our server took forever to bring every aspect of the meal. From bringing water, to bread, to the check, there was a definite time lag. With better service, I would have given a solid and string 4 stars.

I’m not really sure how to go about rating this restaurant. Technically the best part of dining here is the view and the view honestly has nothing to do with the restaurants food or service. In fact if a view is what you care about go get take out from a better place, drive down to the beach eat there. As for the restaurant itself the food is completely hit or miss. I recently came her with a large party of 10. The pizza looked amazing and everyone seemed to enjoy it. 2 people ordered Chicken Alfredo and both ended up pushing the chicken off their plate it was so bad. 1 Person had the Canneloni Di Pollo and loved it. It looked delicious so I believe her it was amazing. However I had the special of the night. A lobster ravioli… it was by far the worst dish served. It was a special so of course it was over priced but the lobster was overcooked. It was chewy and flavorless. The«Sauce» they served it in was melted butter. That’s it literally. That’s not a sauce. If you want overpriced Pizza give this place a try. If you are looking for good food I would keep searching. There is no shortage of Italian places in the South End of Seattle worth you dollars. The service is hard to comment on since I was with a large party. Of course little things get forgotten or take a while to come out but that’s really to be expected. All in all the service wasn’t bad but wasn’t something worth noting as spectacular. At the end of the day I’ll doubt I’ll be back. Its close to home but for the price isn’t worth the money compared to many other local places that do what Verrazano’s is trying to do but much better.

My wife and I only live a few miles from Verrazano’s, so we have been here several times; and most recently last night. The main reason we visit Verrazano’s is for the AMAZING views of Puget Sound… having said that, each time we visit the service leaves quite a bit to be desired. They are consistently understaffed, prices are on the high end, the deck string lights weren’t working on one of our previous visits, and the food is adequate. Again, we really come here for the view and ambiance. Last night we stopped in after work on our way home and there was a wait for a table on the deck, which was literally half empty(the lower section of the deck was completely vacant) on a gorgeous Thursday evening, so we grabbed a glass of wine at the bar while we waited. We watched as the server assisted multiple other tables, but did not even smile at us, or say, «I’ll be with you in a minute.» There was an approximate 14 minute wait from the time we were sat on the deck, to the time the server acknowledged us; we were about to finish the glasses of wine that we paid for at the bar and leave, right before our server actually greeted us. I ordered pasta and a side of meatballs, and the meatballs came out after the main entrée. And to boot, the server charged my credit card for the table next to us(104, we were table 101) which was reflected on my receipts($ 94.37 vs. $ 38.00 for our meal«BIGDIFFERENCE»). When I brought this up, they told me that they had to recharge my card for our bill, and the $ 94.37 would be voided and fall off my account within a few business days! I work and train in the hospitality field, and my professional opinion is Verrazano’s is overpriced, the staff require serious guest service training, and there needs to be more consistency in the kitchen. Not once during any of our visits has management touched our table, or any others that I could see. The part that kills me the most is Verrazano’s has SOMUCH potential, but the restaurant is not run properly, which really affects its charm. To reinforce this viewpoint, I have yet to see management respond to any of these reviews, and there is a common theme in other reviews. I would recommend Verrazano’s if you enter with the expectation of mediocre service, but are looking for a great view while you enjoy a glass of wine and an appetizer.

One of my closest friends and I ventured to the Verrazano’s patio for dinner recently, on one of the beautiful sunny days we have been enjoying so much of this spring. The views from the deck are really nice and it was a great place to just sit and relax. I wasn’t too hungry, so I decided to order a couple of appetizers as my main meal. I had the Bacon Wrapped Scallops and a small Wedge Salad. The scallops were sooo good. They were cooked perfectly and were insanely flavorful. The Wedge was quite small, but just the right amount of food for me. The caramelized walnuts really made that salad — yum! I also had a Lemon Drop cocktail which was quite tasty. My friend had the Fettuccine Bolognese, which she loved. For dessert, we split the crème brûlée. It was probably the only thing that disappointed us a bit, as the crispy top was not really crispy much at all. It would have been nice had it been torched a bit longer before being served. However, the flavors of the custard were very good. Our waiter was very friendly and personable. He did a great job of checking in on us just enough, which was impressive considering how full the patio was. Our food came out quite fast and we were able to eat at a comfortable pace. I had never even heard of Verrazano’s before that night, but I will definitely be back. It was a great place to enjoy a delicious meal!

We have been to this place about 4 or 5 times and always go home happy. The view is amazing! We went last night for dinner before sunset. We sat on the back deck outside(a bit chilly still here in the PNW). We had a great dinner(Chicken parm and Canneloni Di Pollo) various wines from the by the glass menu. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. We will be back:)

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It has a beautiful water view. We went there for our anniversary and they made it extra special by giving us a dessert and champagne at the end. The food was delicious. We had a seafood Cesar salad which had a ton of smoked salmon. We also had their special of the night, wild mushroom ravioli. They provided a great service. Tao was a great server!

I waffled between 3 and 4 stars on this place and finally decided on 4 to give them the benefit of a doubt as I’ve only been once. The service by our waiter was beyond excellent at our table, however the host at the lobby was a little awkward and aloof. The location is super weird(literally 10 feet from Pac Highway in a sketchier part of town) but the ambience inside is beautiful and the back patio has a beautiful view. The pasta was just OK but the lamb special was excellent. Dessert was also just OK. The wine list had a good variety and featured some notable options. This place is rather pricey for its location and there are better Italian places in Seattle, however it’s probably your best option for finer dining within a 20 mile radius. After all, it IS Federal Way… I would recommend this place for those that would like a nice meal but don’t want to drive to Seattle proper.

Stopped in with some Seattle friends for lunch on a Monday. It was a clear winter day, so the view was awesome. The food was very good. However, Joanne, our waitress, was somewhat rude and unaccommodating. When my friend asked a simple question about the menu, she gave a sarcastic answer and acted as though she couldn’t be bothered. When the entre’ came out before I was done with my salad, she pushed my salad plate out of the way with the entre’ plate unceremoniously. Finally, when we asked her to split up our check among the five of us, she acted like it was impossible or at least a major burden. Bear in mind, we were the only customers in the restaurant at that point. The bottom line is, I would go to this restaurant when the view is nice only. I have never had problems before with the food or service, but this visit was extremely disappointing. By charging a bit more for what was expected to be a better meal, one would also expect excellent service. It will be some time before I go back.

Great ambiance. Steak was not fresh so when I asked for medium it was cold. The pasta sauce is not all that great for an Italian restaurant. I do have to say that the wedge salad was spot on. I will not be going back to this place.

I felt like they cheated for money, so I didn’t tip the waitress since it was added onto my bill. Waitress asked us what kind of salad we want after we placed our order and said the choices of salad we are allowed to get with the ordered we place, but didn’t tell us it would be charged full price… And it’s $ 12 for side salad. Yeah she didn’t tell us about that. She could of at least told us that it would be charged more if we wanted salad. When the bill came out and we were trying to figure out how much we pay for our own share after a few minutes of adding and multiplying trying to figure out. The waitress yelled at us asking us why don’t we split it evenly. Well maybe we don’t want to cause those that had a cheaper meal shouldn’t be paying more than what they had. She was rude and once she figured out that she yelled at us she found out and went back to being happy and didn’t even apologized. Yeah that is why we didn’t tip her.

I’ve always wanted to try this place. My sister chose it one day because she heard it had a pretty view. The staff was friendly but the service was just ok. The hostess looked at us like she was confused when we walked in and didn’t even greet us. My sister had to tell her table for three and she just grabbed our menus and lead us to a table without even a hi or hello… The water boy came right away and filled our glasses but when my sister asked what items he recommended(we thought that he was our waiter) he just responded with ask your waitress when she comes. The rest of the night was good. The food was decent although kinda pricey. I got the surf and turf for 23.00 which isn’t bad but for the taste wasn’t worth it. We had some complications with our bill too but figured it out ourselves… Overall decent place but nothing special to compensate the over price food and ok service.
