5 stars are for their wings. My favorite place for that. The restaurant itself is kind of old and run down. We usually do take out.

After more than two years of living not far around the corner, we were delighted to discover this local bar with food. Being a vegetarian, they offered a vegetarian wrap with peppers and mushrooms. Thus, although it was the only non-meat entrée, it was very welcomed. We love local. Unfortunately, after eating the wrap a couple of times, I did desire to eat another kind of entrée. On the way out of our visit today, my husband caught someone and asked if he was an owner and asked about vegetarian options. He said they would be doing some mac & cheese coming up, which I assumed was for lent. I tried to voice that it would be nice to have it as a regular entrée(it is listed as a side), as I’d been eating the vegetarian wrap. His response was a friendly he’d «been doing it for 30 years» and he didn’t offer any suggestions. I’d hoped he’d offer some sort of regular option to make mac & cheese a meal or anything else, but he did not. My response is this: Yes, you have been a warm addition to the local landscape for 30 years. You must have the ability to work with a changing economy and are incredibly adaptive. What I urge you to consider is the landscape of beer and food in St. Louis is changing. There are more people like me that desire non-meat options with great beer. We LOVE local and will support you. Give us a chance. Let us be a part of another successful 30 years!

I’ve been eating here for over 15 years. Pour Richards has consistently serving the best wings in Greater St Louis. Mark’s Wing Special(formerly the Saturday Night special is a real bargain. A dozen wings, salad and provel cheese bread for just over $ 10. It’s a great little neighborhood bar that is family friendly. Cold beer, hot wings and other good food.

Been a longtime fan of this place! Great small bar with delicious wings! Besides the chef salad, the wings are pretty much the only thing I get – but when I want wings, they are my go to! Just the right amount of spice, not too soggy, and pretty consistent all of the time. We rarely dine in but when we do, we sit at the bar and the service is always friendly, fast & attentive. The drinks are cheap and strong – always a plus! The only thing I dislike is that you literally smell like you were cooking in the kitchen the entire night when you leave. Other than that, love it all!

Just ordered and picked up the chicken wing special with salad and cheese garlic bread for 10 bucks. Thoroughly enjoyed while watching the Mizzou game! Will be back!

This bar is great! It’s the perfect mom and pop place my husband and I were looking for to enjoy a drink thats close to home and also not really expensive. The servers/bartenders have been super friendly every time we have been in there. Their drinks are good, and we usually get some kind of appetizer as well and they’ve always been freshly cooked and good! It is also no smoking inside. It is also family friendly.

A group of friend visited there this week for wings and beer. The wings came out with out any sauce. Got the young server to bring us a couple of containers of ‘grease’ there was NO hot sauce in them. We need 4 beer glasses all were dirty! We asked for hot sauce and clean glasses, she kept waiting on tables around us but didn’t return to our table for 20 minutes and then with classes but said they were to busy to make any sauce. WTF? We’ve been there twice a month for years never again!

Best chicken wings anywhere around hands down… Sybergs has their sauce… but here you taste the chicken… chicken taste very fresh… salads are awesome. … but watch cutting it up in there bowls… they like to tip a bit… Staff is excellent. … service is excellent… very family oriented.. when I go out with friends or family… it’s poor Richards. . Applebee’s.. chili’s.. ruby Tuesdays.. all pale in comparison. … On the adult side… the beer is absolutely cold… very friendly atmosphere.. it’s not obnoxious what so ever… Do yourself a righteous treat… and go by poor Richards. … food to go also… tvs. light music… couple video games for the kids… and your kids will be floored by the stuffed black bear… Bathrooms are clean… Very cozy and comfortable. … Last but not least… prices are more than competitive. … Fenton, and Valley Park would not be the same without them… I guarantee you’ll have an enjoyable experience. … I just love this place… and you and yours will too… enjoy!!!

Someone please let me know why Stefanie was let go? She was absolutely, hands down, the best waitress there. I understand that she broke her ankle and was unable to work for a while, but should she have not been let go because of it??! I think not!!! I have been coming to Poor Richards for over 25 years — Stefanie had been my waitress for about 13 of those years. An injury should have no bearing on her employment status. Owners — you SUCK!!! You have lost a loyal customer. I don’t live in town, but I made it a point to visit every single time I came home… no longer! You screwed up! Word of mouth will get around and your business will suffer!

I couldn’t love Poor Richards any more if I tried! I have been coming here since I was 7, fast forward 20 years and I still make a point to swing by for wings and a beer every time I come home. Wings, blue cheese and beer– what’s not to like– NOTHING.

We came for lunch and were very happy with the service, pricing and menu. The wing special was really good. + 12 wings with garlic bread and a salad for about 10.50. I understand that they have a good selection of alcohol, but as my wife and I do not drink, we were more interested in the food. i’m not a huge fan of the dead animals on the wall but the décor wasn’t too bad. It seems like it would be a good place to go for a simple lunch or casual dinner.

Great atmosphere, good food. Place was packed On a Friday night but the wait wasn’t too bad. Service was a bit chaotic but that’s was to be expected. Waitress was consistently pleasant. Food was decent. Wings are fried hard, a little dry but still good flavor. The wing special is the way to go. 12 wings, salad and cheese bread for $ 10. Food prices overall were very reasonable. I’ll definitely be back.

It’s a dive but the best wings I’ve ever had. The servers are all so sweet and attentive, no matter how busy it is. It’s small, so expect a wait at times. But it’s one of my favorite spots to bring out of town visitors and it never disappoints.

Friends rave about the wings. I’d agree the wings are pretty good. It’s a popular local place so service can be slow.

Super casual place with great burgers and wings. It’s not a super hopping place, and the restaurant itself is ugly, but you really can’t beat the food.

I actually come here pretty often, but now that I am burning myself out of the place, I decide to write a review. There is one big issue I have with this place, it stinks like dirty grease. You will need to wash your clothes and hair after you leave here. DONOT put your clothes in the hamper when you get home, put them directly in the wash or you will be wondering where the stench is coming from the next day. It is however better than the oppresive haze of smoke that hovered above the dining room before the smoking ban went into effect. We typically only get a few things here on the regular, wings, steak fries and dinner salad. We will sometimes get the boneless, but beware of the over breading and dryness. It is probably better to go the traditional wing route here. The basket of steak fries are usually a safe bet. Hot, plentiful and cheap. The real deal here is the wing special. It comes with wings, cheese garlic bread and a side salad for about $ 10. It is hard to beat. The beer is priced pretty well for a pitcher, but could be colder. It is kid friendly, so we are down with that. Servers are hit or miss. There is one crabby one who needs to go back to server college, but the rest are super cool. Last thing is TVs. I don’t like to rate a place by their inventory of TVs, but there is like one table in the restaurant with a decent view of a TV. I know, I should rather talk with my lovely wife and kids, but when there is Blues or Cardinals playoffs on, I’d rather not watch it in the reflecion of the Busch beer plaque.

Don’t let the first impression of the outdated interior make you turn around! It is a very casual a seat yourself establishment(this always confuses me when I’m new to a place). If you go for dinner it will probably be packed and noisy but if you go for lunch its fine. I have said before I’m not a huge meat eater but let me tell you, their boneless wings are to die for! They melt in your mouth, they are huge, sauced perfectly, not too spicy! I had the $ 10 wing special, it comes with 10 boneless wings(12 if you want regular wings), a very large side salad and garlic bread. I usually only see two ladies working the dining area but have never had bad service, very friendly and they keep your drinks full. Over all I love this place and can’t get enough! *You will have left over wings, trust me! And they reheat fine!*

Fell in LOVE with their wings. We went their for dinner one day on our trip and we loved it so much we went back a couple days after! Their wings are so tasty and just perfectly done and seasoned. I wish they had a Poor Richards where I live.
