I’d been searching for a good looking pair of dress shoes for months. I went to all the regular stores such as DSW shoes, Nordstrom’s, Dillard’s, Famous Footwear, Off Broadway Shoes, and yet I couldn’t find a classic pair of well-​made comfortable shoes.
After finding nothing suitable at all the before mentioned stores, I conducted a brief internet search for stylishly comfortable shoes which led me to the website of Foot Solutions in Flower Mound, TX.
We, my partner and I, entered the store and were greeted by a pleasant fellow named Mike Carey who turned out to be the owner as well as a certified pedorthist. Before bringing us any shoes to try on, he measured our feet, something I hadn’t had performed in a shoe store since I was a child in the early 1970s. My partner and I learned from his measurements that we have both been wearing the incorrect shoe size; mine being too big and her’s being too small.
He then observed us walking in our stocking feet before he placed us on a machine that measured where we tend to place our weight. All of these measurements and observations assisted him in recommending the best type of shoes for us.
He then spent the next hour helping us find the best pair of shoes for our needs. I’m happy to report that I now have a classic pair of Waldlaufer dress shoes that are good looking in addition to being very comfortable. To make the fit even more perfect, Mr. Carey was able to stretch them slightly. My partner was able to find two pairs of shoes to suit her needs, a pair of Waldlaufer dress pumps and a spiffy looking athletic shoe in a color that Mr. Carey is able to special order for us.
There were several other patrons in the store when we were there and all of them were being attended to by knowledgable and accommodating pedorthists.
