My husband and I decided to check this place out because whenever we drive by it it is always busy. We were both very disappointed. For the price we could have got Cantina Laredo and the much better food that comes with it. Food: This food takes the«mex» out of tex mex. It was honestly very disappointing. The vegis were clearly frozen and reheated to barely hot for our plate of house fajitas. They tasted very similar to the sams club frozen vegis. The steak was ok, nothing to write home about. They do make their own tortillas, which is nice. I was not a huge fan of their queso, but my husband seemed to like it. It seemed more velveta than queso. I do have to say the margaritas were yummy and strong. Service: The service was actually very good. Our waiter was very quick to bring us our food and drinks. The manager stopped by to ask us how everything was, which was nice. Overall it was a good experience, but we most likely won’t be back because of the food quality.

Wow! Why would anyone go to Anamia’s when this place exists? Red sauce/mole on cheese enchiladas is awesome! Street corn is a great different side dish. If u want to see and be seen go to the other place, if u want great food and drink come here.

Great margaritas, great outdoor space if you are able to reserve a fabulous cabana! The brisket chili rellanos is fabulous! We love coming here on weekends to unwind! Great service

My husband and I went here on a whim and loved it! Great atmosphere, food and service. Chips and salsa keeps coming, along with the drink refills. The salsa has a smokey flavor which is different but surprisingly good. The server let us sample the other spicier salsas, but we preferred the regular. My husband got a chimichanga which was massive and pretty good. I got the brisket quesadillas with the works and they exceeded my expectations for quesadillas. It was definitely a plate that could’ve been split by two though, or even as an appetizer for a group. We highly recommend Frescos to anyone who enjoys el fenix, Abuelos, Rio Mambo… it may rank above each of those.

I wanted to try a new restaurant on New Year’s Eve, and I picked Fresco’s. The brisket nachos were superb with a yummy glass of Merlot. They had quite a wine list for a Mexican restaurant, so this scored a plus in mind!

This place is just OK. There is not much you can do different for Mexican food, but have good spiced food and hot sauce. This place is ok for both. The drinks are good, and you need a drink because you will wait for ever, unless you want the 4:30 early bird special. For HV I would expect more.

Solid mexican food in the area. Great outdoor patio and atmosphere. Service is hit /miss, nothing outstanding. Tortilla soup is hearty and filling, comes in a giant bowl(one size). I’d recommend it. My boyfriend actually frequents this place and really enjoys it. But overall, I’m underwhelmed. Wouldn’t return unless he dragged me.

Been here at least half a dozen times. The food is outstanding and fresh. Everything is reasonably priced. Definitely a good neighborhood gem for Mexican food. Service from waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend over a chain Tex Mex

stopped here on a whim… glad we did. we decided to celebrate a dear friend’s birthday at Fresco’s which was taking a little bit of a risk considering none of us had been there before but we were all pleasantly surprised! Lots of seating, great bar area, prompt service. And let me not forget that they sell their margaritas no only by the glass but by the pitcher! talk about a game changer! the queso was great, their chips are delicious. unfortunately I didn’t have any more of their menu other than the caramel ice cream which was amazing. I have nothing bad to say about this place aside from I wish there were one closer to me. I will go back for sure when I’m in the lewiville area.

This Dallas Mexican restaurant seriously brought its A-game today. Houston competitors better watch out. We got veggie quesadillas, Mexican French toast, scrambled eggs and bloody orange mimosas. Let me just tell you how on point everything was. The veggie quesadillas were cheesed perfectly with a healthy amount of vegetables to keep them nutritious(even the broccoli tasted good). The scrambled eggs paired well with the refried beans and tortillas and were good enough for 1 – 2 people. The winner was probably the French toast. This was no ordinary toast, it was filled with cream cheese and topped with rich caramel and paired with roasted banana. I only had a little because I would be pushing my luck with all the Thanksgiving food from this weekend but that little got me thinking about the French toast for the rest of the meal… and clearly I’m still thinking about it. This place is also super family-friendly with warm fireplaces and good background chatter. Great ambience for a casual brunch.

I have to admit that I am a Fresco’s fan! That being said I hope this location is simply brand new and still breaking in their kitchen and bar staff. We did have 9 people but the wait time for the drinks alone was 20 minutes! Let’s not even talk about the«Best Value» pitchers of Margaritas What a joke! Most of the food came out pretty good but my wife and daughter’s plates were both cold. I even tried to give them the benefit of the doubt on the pitcher fiasco and ordered a regular frozen margarita and it came to the table ¾ full and at full price! I will still recommend this franchise but not this location and it’s a shame because it is beautiful!

We had a very good dining experience here. All the meals were well prepared, service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. The Mexican street corn was quite good. The manager was very active on the floor and the business was good.

Not my fav, but decent food close to my house! We have never had a horrible experience. Service had always been great. Last time we were there, it was slow getting our food as some large parties placed an order right before us, but our server let us know. Great place for the family and large patio seating!

So – this one is hard. Street corn is awesome. Limited edition hatch green chili queso was fantastic. My frozen piña colada, while odd, was tasty and I like the atmosphere. And the rest just falls apart. Ancho sauce is way bitter, and I’m a big fan of ancho. Rellleno was not good. Charro beans were just okay. Service was so terrible I over-tipped because the waitress was NEVERCOMINGBACK with my change. I guess the answer is to just get queso and drink – and then have exact change. OR, go somewhere else. This is the Metroplex, not like there’s a shortage of good Tex Mex!

It was fortunate that we arrived around 5 pm on a Sunday afternoon before the supper crowd became a real crowd. By the time we left there was a wait and the noise level was high. Service was prompt and friendly. Complimentary chips were thin and crisp. The salsa looked dark brown and lethal but was not fiery. It was tasty. We skipped appetizers and went right to entrees. I had brisket tacos and my companion, fish tacos. My brisket tacos were served with a incendiary sauce that I could not eat but if you like a hot salsa that stuff would fit the bill. The set-up plate accompanying the tacos included 2 wedges of lime, cilantro and finely diced white onion. I love onion with brisket tacos and not all Tex Mex places think to provide them. Red rice, their name for the dish, and churro beans came with this plate. Both were fine. My companion raved about the fish tacos. The were made up of grilled tilapia, onions and a salsa that had bits of pineapple. It was served with a sweet sauce and included one item choice of sides. Companion chose poblano pepper rice which was also well received. Dessert was flan. It wasn’t the best we’ve ever had and I’m still trying to figure out the unusual taste that stayed with me after we ate it. This was not something we’d order again.

Great food and ambience. The table side guacamole is good. They have chips and salsa on the house and if you are feeling adventurous ask for their spicy salsas which are on the house as well. They have excellent quesadillas; they come in 3 varieties and type 1 is my choice(you will figure it out when you see the menu. BBQ ribs 4.25 of 5. Excellent. I really love this restaurant. I have been several times and the food is consistently good. I usually get the tilapia fish tacos with corn tortillas and they are by far some of the best fish tacos I’ve had. Plenty of meat, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The chicken fajitas are awesome too. I am not a big corn eater, but the Mexican street corn is to die for. The Sangria is excellent and always well made. They also have covered cabanas outside with fans and t.v.‘s. The service could be better — they can be somewhat disorganized, but the good food and drinks make up for it. The prices are very reasonable as well.

I don’t usually do Tex Mex but wifey wanted to try this place. Have to say that I’m pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. The tortilla chips were so good. We had to make an effort not to eat too many before our entrees arrived. I had the chile relleno stuffed with brisket. Love the smokiness of the chile. The brisket could use more smoke but this is not a BBQ joint so I let it slide. The rice and beans were also very good. Definitely RTE to try more of their menu.
