This is our new favorite korean bbq! although a little pricey you wont go hungry!

This is my all time favorite Korean barbecue restaurant. I highly recommend the marinated beef ribs and pork belly. I would normally order the items by itself than in a combo, but that’s just my preference. On top of the main course, I adore the side dishes. The sweet potatoes, steamed eggs, and corn with cheese are the main dishes I would normally enjoy at a restaurant and thankfully they have it. They also have a salad side dish with their own dressing in it. All in all, the prices definitely match the quality of the dishes they have, so definitely give this restaurant a try!

Hands down, the BESTKOREANBBQ I’ve ever had. Ben is my favorite server of course. You guys will see him doing the«Shake Shake Shake» with the special fried rice. The first time we went my friend told him it was my birthday and he gave his a free bottle of baek soju and choco pie with candles as cake for my birthday! He is always down to drink too! The servers are always very nice and attentive and comes around to cook all the meats and changes the grill rack every 10 minutes. Complimentary refills on the steamed egg which is cooked on the side of the grill. I would definitely bring all my friends here!

Kang Ho Dong is an excellent choice for Korean barbecue! Yes, it is a chain from South Korea that made its US debut in California and finally made its way to New York City. I have been to both of their locations and I always had an amazing food experience. I held my belated birthday dinner here last weekend. Everything from calling to make reservations to dinner service was smooth sailing and easy peasy! I called about two weeks in advance for a table for ten. Please note that they do not take reservations after 6:00PM on weekends and they cannot seat your party until everyone is present. Even upon my arrival, the waiting area was full! Beef and Pork Combo is the best way to try various cuts of meat. Combo comes in both small and large sizes and comes with a stew: Soy Bean Paste or Kimchi Tofu. Your table will be already filled with a few banchan dishes, lettuce, sauces, condiments, with corn and cheese and steamed egg on the side of the grill. Servers will change the grill depending on the meat. Beef combo meat platter comes with thinly sliced brisket, seasoned prime short rib, and choice of prime boneless rib or prime ribeye. Pork combo meat platter comes with seared pork belly, pork jowl, choice of marinated pork collar or thinly sliced spicy pork belly. My favorite between the two would be the pork combo. Both the Pork belly and pork jowl is very fresh and super tender when it is ready to eat! They are SOOGOOD! Servers come around to cook and cut all the meat, right in front of you! We also ordered the Lunch Box which gives your table a bit of spotlight and some real entertainment! A server with LED glasses will come by with a box with rice and an assortment of ingredients. The restaurant will then dim the lights and turn on the music… the server will start shaking the box with enthusiasm while chanting! My friends surprised me with a birthday cake and once again, they dim the lights, birthday music comes on, crazy colorful lights, and the staff gathered around to cheer! Yup, all the attention is on me! This was just the perfect place to go to celebrate birthdays!

Great place to go late at night after a soju-fueled karaōke marathon. Nothing soothes the throat and fills the belly on a cold winter night like grilled meat and tofu in bean paste stew with rice. The salads and side dishes are adequate. The place passes my test with 1. fresh leaves of lettuce and 2. crisp bean sprouts, both great with the well-marinated smoky meat. The ventilation system also appears to be better designed than at other, older Korean restaurants in the area where after a meal I feel like my hair and clothes smell like Korean BBQ. Would be 5 stars if there were more generous portions, but I guess you can’t always have it all.

my fav korean bbq place that i always bring my out of town guests to. the service is great and so is the food. it’s not your typical korean bbq joint. the seating and table is a but small but you just have to make room. my favorite items to order is the large beef combo with short ribs. yum yum yum. don’t forget to get at least one plate of appetizers such as the jap char or pancake. also get the yogurt soju if you’re thirsty for some alcohol. my friends and i always leave here satisfied and smelling like food once we get home but that’s ok! btw i am lucky enough to not sit at the tables with stools. i really don’t feel comfortable sitting like that which they do in korea. the stools is also storage for your personal belongings when you lift the cushion off.

Been to the K-town location. Had a good time, great staff and atmosphere at both locations. Its korean bbq, they really know how to marinate the meat. We got a small meat combo with porkbelly and that was a lot for two of us. Sides were nice portion, really like the salad and soup that they give you. Cheese corn is pretty neat with the meal along with the egg that cooks during the whole time your there. Next time i’m going have to venture in some other menu items.

This is such a great place. First, stick to the combos, these are the best deals. Had some much fun and enjoyed the BBQ so much went to Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong twice in less than two weeks. The place gets super crowded on weekends, so get there early, if possible. But, even if you have to wait, it’s never too long. The dinner is more fun with all the latest k-pop music blasting and the wait staff rushing around. If you don’t want all the noise, get there early before the evening crowd. It’s very easy to over eat, so I normally stick to small beef combo with the rib eye steak. All the meat are so tender and delicious, but sometimes the quality of the meat may suffer slightly the later and busier they are. The marinated boneless short rib is so good and just melts in your mouth. It’s one of my favorites along with the prime rib eye steak. I also like to order the radish kimchee cold noodle. It is so refreshing.

What a fun experience! While the best part of KBBQ is cooking it yourself, it’s quite nice having someone do it and serving it for you. The set-up: ELABORATE. Only because there are a lot of accompaniments to the kbbq. Lettuce, salad, salt, signature sauce, beansprouts, regular side dishes. it goes on. You also get your egg and grilled peppers on the side of the grill, pretty efficient if you ask me! The meat quality: NOTABLE. We ordered a combo of 3: brisket, prime rib, short rib. All very good. The prime rib was good enough to be eaten rare + salt. Got my steak fix. The atmosphere: FLASHYBUTFUN. If you order the«lunchbox» which I high recommend(a fried rice of sorts) servers will come over and shake up its contents to music and flashing lights. It’s corny, but it’s a great laugh. It’s also delicious — the rice is very chewy. The service: QUICK. We had a 20 min wait going at 845pm. I imagine it to be worse at peak dinner times. The servers cook the meat fast for you — don’t try to eat at that pace! Tell them to slow down if you have to, they have a lot of tables to take care of, but I think you are entitled to asking them to go away and come back when you’re ready. In general, there are a lot of greens to accompany the meat, so my meal didn’t feel as heavy as AYCEKBBQ. I think it’s better that way: X Meal came out to be about $ 130 for 4 people, that’s with 3 good portions of meats, a soup, 2 rice lunch boxes, 2 regular white rice, unlimited side dishes and sauces, and a good time.

One of my favorite Korean BBQ spots in NY! I’ve been to about a dozen Korean BBQ restaurants in Manhattan + Queens, and Kang Ho Dong has to be one of the best. I find myself coming back to this one everytime my Korean BBQ craving kicks in. Although it gets busy, the service is good and the staff is attentive of cooking the meat. I usually order the Beef combo as it comes with a variety of meats and stew for a reasonable price. Depending on if I’m with one other person or two-three I opt for the small(2 people) or large(4 people). Small — $ 53.99 Large — $ 89.99 The meats are definitely of high quaility and their banchans(side dishes) compliment the meat very well. My favorite is the prime boneless short ribs — very tender and juicy. Always walk out for here full and content :)

Great Korean BBQ spot. Definitely gets busy, so you make sure you’re not in a hurry to eat when you get there. The meats are definitely great quality. We ordered, pork, kalbi, thinly sliced beef, and pork shoulder. I say for for the thinly sliced beef and the kalbi. Great quality of the sliced beef and great flavor of the kalbi. Skip the seafoof pancake though. Batter is too thick and not nearly enough seafood in it. Otherwise, a great place to go! PS If you like space, don’t sit near the grill because the ladies who serve the meat do not care about personal space and will get right up on you to do their jobs. Didn’t bother me. Just warning those with large bubbles =)

Shake, Shake, Shake that lunchbox! This is a popular place. Came with a group of friends. Total wait time was approximately 45 minutes to an hour. If you are planning to arrive during the business hour, I recommend having an individual arriving early to have your name added to the list. There was quick service when ordering food. The table was set with all of the sides. The food arrived quickly when we order a large combo of beef and a small combo of the pork. The staff was attentive with cooking the food. There was so much food. Everything was delicious and fresh.

Mmmmm such good Korean BBQ. Everything about this place is great. The meat, the banchan(side dish), the drinks. It’s on the more pricey side but I suppose you get what you paid for. I highly recommend getting the Beef combo. The medium size serves 2 people pretty well and the large serves around 3. Unlike the manhattan location, they do NOT have melon makguli(they looked at me realllll weird when I asked them if they had it) so… RIP. They have Korean«lunch box»(that you can order during lunch or dinner) and they’ll do a funny jig while they shake it up to for you. It’s essentially bibimbap in a metal box. I THINK you get one for free if it’s your birthday. It may be packed but don’t let that discourage you. I have personally never waited more than 30 min to be seated. Oh and I hope you’re not too fickle when it comes to grilling meat. It’s a hit or miss with how good your server will be. I like my meat medium to medium-rare but the guy insisted on making it medium well, saying that it tastes best that way… Yeahhh I know he meant well but… I don’t think so. At the very least they won’t burn any of the meat. Enjoy your meal.

It’s very busy here all the time… But the wait is not that bad. They have a good amount of tables and a lot of workers. I usually get the beef combo. It’s good for three small females who don’t eat a lot. I think the beef combo is about $ 55 but it also comes with Korean soup. This place never fails to make my tummy happy :)

My cousin wanted to come here for her birthday dinner after hearing so many good reviews about it. We made reservations on a Saturday night at 6PM. I arrived a little before 6 to let the hostess know that the rest of my party would be a little late as they were looking for parking. To my surprise, the hostess was so rude and gave my table away to someone else and told me I needed to put my name down and wait. I had to wait an hour + for the next table. I understand that my party was late, but she could have handled the situation differently.(–2 stars) For a party of 6, we ordered the beef combo(L $ 90) and the pork combo(L $ 80). The combo included steamed egg, corn w/cheese and kimchi stew. The pork belly/beef was mediocre and the kimchi stew was probably my favorite!(–1 star) Overall, for a $ 200+ meal, I left hungry and disappointed.

My favorite Korean bbq place! I can’t go to any other Korean bbq restaurant ever since I tried this place. I been to both locations and food is consistent. Service in this location is slightly better than the one in Manhattan only because there’s probably more servers since the space is so much better too. I’ve tried both pork and beef combos and recommend both! The best thing is complimentary corn and steam egg. It is such a delight!

Not bad, not bad at all. Honestly we were getting tired of the Korean scene in Queens and started exploring Fort Lee. So glad we saw this place trending and decided to stop by. I liked that the«tables» are much smaller and can accommodate smaller groups. The service is youthful — especially with that random box shaking the waitstaff does. Finally, the food. The food is good — great quality meats for a good price. And that ventilation! I was shocked that I didn’t smell like my meal after leaving the restaurant. The one drawback — the lack of, yet expensive, alcohol selection. So, it’s not AYCE but it doesn’t need to be. Other than that, feast!

Love this place for some fulfilling and DELICIOUS Korean BBQ! The cutest attraction is the fat boy logo outside of the restaurant. The funniest attraction is the way the staff shouts-out-loud and moves when you order their special fried rice. You will see, I will not spoil it for you! Gotta thank my friends for bringing me and my husband here. We’ve been coming here in large groups and yes there is a long wait due to popularity, but we never mind the wait because it is that good. The meat is in its finest quality. The vegetables are always fresh. The soup is flavorful. We also love the side corn with cheese and soft egg surrounding the BBQ grill. It is rather unique and you can ask for refills too! The staff is nice so don’t be afraid to ask for more, YUM-O! Let’s just say this place is a great casual hang-out place to enjoy Korean BBQ with friends and family. Note: It is rather loud though, so I wouldn’t recommend bringing your date here.

Basically, there are two ways of ordering kbbq here: 1. You can order individual cuts of beef(short rib, skirt, rib eye, brisket, etc.) or pork(collar, pork belly, skirt). Prices range from around $ 20 – 30 per order of cut OR 2. You can order their combos. Beef and Pork Combos lets you try a little bit of each cut. Combos come in two sizes, small and large. Small can feed about 2 people. Large can feed 4. BEEFCOMBO Includes: Brisket, Marinated short rib, Prime short rib or Prime rib eye Small — $ 54.99(enough for about 2 people) Large — $ 89.99(enough for about 4 people) PORKCOMBO Includes: Pork Jowl, Pork belly, Marinated Pork collar or thinly sliced pork belly Small — $ 47.99(enough for about 2 people) Large — $ 79.99(enough for about 4 people) We had a party of five, and we did half/half: Small order of beef combo, and small order of Pork combo and it was plenty enough. Combined with all the sides that come with it, you get pretty full. Expect to pay around $ 30(+/-$ 5) per person when you do BBQ. Notes: — The potato side dish is delicious, it’s like a half deep crispy fried potato cuts in honey. Yum. — Inside is pretty loud. Sometimes you have to shout to talk to the person across the table. — Can wait up to 30 min during peak times at dinner — Happy Birthday Songs can dim the lights momentarily and you’re eating in the dark — Everyone must be present in order for table reservations to take effect — Street Parking Only — SHAKE-KUHSHAKE-KUHSHAKE.

This is the first BBQ place that I’ve been to that is not AYCE — and of course, I loved it. The restaurant is big, spacious, and clean. The servers are extremely attentive and funny. If you’re afraid that your clothes or bags are going to smell, no worries, put them inside the chair you’re sitting on! We were seated almost immediately on a Sunday afternoon. The table was already prepped with the side dishes(broccoli, potatoes, salad, kimchi) and steamed eggs, peppers, onions, corn with cheese on the grill. We ordered the beef combo — it was enough for 2 people. The combo comes with either kimchi stew or soybean paste stew — both are amazing! The ribeye and brisket were amazing. The ribeye was a perfect cut and cooked amazingly. The homemade sauce was also very impressive. They have a little paper with instructions showing how their sauce should be mixed and how the meats should be eaten. So if it’ll be your first time having Korean BBQ, do not feel intimidated, they’re more than happy to help! It is worth the price!
