Good service, they can speak Chinese a little bit. There are more than 8 small Korean food for free. Very well, always ask me about service. I will come to there again. When we left way, they always say goodbye.

I don’t even want to give a star. The food is so terrible.

This is your typical Korean BBQ restaurant. The one thing I like about this place is they give you a generous portion of galbi. A lot of places in the neighborhood charge so much for so little meat. The galbi itself was OK; nothing special but it was still delicious. The only other thing I had was a haejang gook which I didn’t really like.

I had dinner here and it was very enjoyable, the wait staff and the owner were very friendly. I would highly recommend.

First of all, AC was not cool, they use 2 plastic fans but is still hot. the air vent for BBQ was not good, whole restaurant was foggy at one point. many items on the menu was not available, pork bone soup with potato was the worst ever tasted. side dishes was only 3 – 4 different ones and they are all kimchi types, no meat no fish in them. the only good one was the steamed egg side dish. that’s the worse korean restaurant I have been to, never again.

My wife, who is Korean, and I have eaten in many Asian restaurants in the Queens, NY area for over 30 years. We believe this is the best Koran BBQ we have had. The Kalbi is simply the best. A local place that has catered to the local Asian population, I highly recommend this place if you are looking for great Korean BBQ. Chris F

i love this place! i always get their casserole or gopchan jungol… it is made with very high quality ingredients and filled with rice cakes, noodles, veggies, tofu, and lots and lots of tripe, beef, and beef intestine. Their bbq is pretty good, Ive experienced better but this place is always a good standby. Around $ 20 for each dish, got the chadol and galbi, you need to order two bbq dishes in order to use the table top grill. I like the fact that you can get up and get your own veggies and sauce for the bbq. They happily refill your banchan as many times as you want! The waitresses speak Chinese and English as well. Came here on a Monday night, probably the hottest night all summer and the palce was about 2⁄3 filled with old school Koreans, always a good sign!

I really enjoyed the table top grill. This is not your standard korean restaurant — this is a restaurant for Koreans so you’ll many odd items on the menu. Definitely worth the trip…

Good food, reasonably priced. Restaurant is a bit dingy, but not awful. Definitely have a Korean escort though, you will find service difficult without one.

I’ve been here numerous times with friends, family, etc. Most recently I came with my family, my mom and her boyfriend. We ordered the ‘dakdoreetang’(chicken stew I believe). The portion was HUGE, more than enough for three people + and at a decent price. It was bubbly, spicy, and everything you can wish for when you order a dish like this. I would highly recommend giving it a try. The waitress’ were pretty nice, however this is a kind of restaurant where bringing someone korean with you would probably optimize your experience.

Imagine. You are 10 years old, your parents take you out to a restaurant where the ambiance is larger than life, you marvel when plates full of meat sizzled before your eyes, people are happy, everyone’s friendly, smiling. Now. You go last night to have a meal with your girlfriend and the restaurant experience… hmm, there’s a word for this… …Oh yeah! ITSUCKED. Allow me to elaborate. Arriving at 7:30pm, the first thing you notice is that the place is just not as clean as it once was.(Plants wilted, debris scattered on the floor.) You wait for about 30 mins before being seated(standard really for the dinner rush). But then when your food arrives you notice that the soup(dwenjang-jiae) bowl is only half-full. The other bowl that arrives(sullong-tang) is full, but it’s almost all watery broth and the noodles and beef are skant. Banchan(side dishes) are really cheap tasting(too much or too little seasoning/spices) and you get side-ways glances whenever you ask for a refill on kimchi. Waiters don’t come by often(which is normally totally fine) but, since nobody is assigned to an area, each of the four waiters for the entire restaurant ask you the same questions at least once. When the meal is over(out of repulsion from the taste more than anything else), you ask to have the rest of the soup wrapped up and it returns in a small take-out container… which means they threw out about half of the soup that YOUPAIDFOR in order to fit it into the only sized containers they own! After the meal, the owner/boss-lady has the cheek to come over and ask how the meal was, give an unprompted, half-assed apology, and tell you they were just busy that night and to come back again. The problem I have with this place is not just that they screwed up the basics of restaurant management, but it became too much when I saw management pick his nose, NOT replace the salad bar bowls after a customer drops them on the floor(causing enough clatter to draw everyone’s eyes), and that they try to justify themselves by flaunting how it wasn’t them that screwed up. These guys(which I once had lots of love for) have their best days behind them. If you’re reading this to gauge this restaurant, let me just tell you there are other places that are far better: many right down on Northern Blvd. Thanks for reading, hope it helps.

would’ve given a 5– but im pretty much a clean freak & when i was in the bathroom the manager/owner lady«forgot» to wash her hands & when i got out, i saw her at our table cleaning & cutting our galbi, rawr. but their nam o jung special is sweet & tangy– different from regular/other galbi places. service is kinda wack since we’re usually with a young crowd & as typical koreans they dont mind us(not in a good way like practically ignore us.) had to get up & get my own sangchus or is that a salad bar? o. The address that Unilocal has here is actually wrong. There is a Karaōke place at 160 – 13 Northern. But Nam O Jung is right next door. I wish I had remembered to take note of its actually street number, but I forgot. I was going to treat my friend to dinner one Friday night for her birthday, and we decided to go here for some Korean BBQ. But right before I headed over for dinner, my friend texted me to say that her sister and her father also wanted to go. That’s cool, the more the merrier. But her father ended up paying the entire bill and they refused to let me pitch in! Hahhah! I complained that I wanted to treat my friend to dinner, but they wouldn’t let me pay. Oh well. Anyway, we had a pretty simple BBQ meal. Lots of galbi and side dishes. The service was OK, but the waitress did not always come when you needed her. I have to say though, that this restaurant has some of the best galbi in the area. And they do their BBQ over a charcoal fire. I would definitely go back. Four stars!

I used to love this restaurant. But after an incident, I have not gone back here since. I ordered a bibimbap to-go. It was great at first until I was almost done and noticed a «penny» coin in my dish. I have never been appalled in my life. It was disgusting and unbelievable. I know that when you’re eating at a restaurant or taking out, you should always be aware and careful of what you’re putting into your mouth. It was just unexpected for me because I’ve been eating here for so long.

The ladies who wait on us love it when Ben comes along. The service there is great but being the good-looker that he is, attracts all the attention making service really excellent! LOL! The food is great, you get as much banchan as you want and tho a tad-bit expensive, you come out happy!

I absolutely love this place. It’s nothing to look at, and yes, it may be better to go with someone Korean, but if you’re in the area and looking for a good value, this is the place to go. Food: that’s why you walked in the door, and you won’t be disappointed. Great array of banchan, which changes regularly(so if you come often, it’s always a surprise). The seafood pajun is delectable. Love the kimchi jigae, the bulgogi is great, and the yuk gae jang is TODIEFOR. Sorry, I had to shout. It always sends me into fits of pleasure. The cold cucumber soup served before the meal in the summer is also one of the best I’ve had. Seems simple, but they make it sublime. Service: this is true Korean service. They’ll get you whatever you want, but you’ll probably need to flag someone down since they don’t stop to check on you(which is fine by me). Don’t worry– even when this place is packed with big family groups, bar hopping teens, and others, it is always adequately staffed. And I’ve never had to wait for a table. It’s bigger than it looks. And– valet parking. This place warms my heart. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 just because it is a casual place(disposable chop sticks, lots of soju ads on the walls), but I could literally eat here 3 times a week and be happy.

Regular korean bbq. OK service. If they realize you’re not korean(and none of us were) they push hard for you to order everything on the menu. esp the $$$$ dishes. Good thing my korean friends taught me well. HAHA! Not much else to distinguish it from any other place. You leave smelling like meat, what else is new?
