Pretty standard coffee shop. Stopped here driving back to the Bay Area from Tahoe. They have some unique latte flavors like tiramisu. Ordered a coffee but they were out of cup sleeves. How does that happen? The guys behind the counter were very nice and helpful.

Much better than the other location. Tables do not wobble. More electrical outlets. Great coffee(like the other place); and live music on Sundays. Whats there not to like?

Turkey Republic… Whoa! It’s large. Share it with someone who will enjoy a fresh turkey sandwich. Choose focaccia. Be prepared for a little mess. The plate comes with your choice of fruit, chips or potato salad. We chose fruit. The price for the amount of food was well worth it! I ordered the Kalhua Mocha, medium. Pretty good. The drink came in a medium or large. So… A medium was more than enough. Atmosphere was relaxed, lots of things to read. The shop was. Very spacious and had more seating outdoors. They had a Santa’s workshop thing going for the kids, too. Cool place. I’ll definitely return!

Stumbled into this place during errands this week. I ordered a small latte and the barista, Sayge, asked which kind. He explained all three and I decided on the Irish Crème version. A-mazing. Sayge made this drink with care and love and even offered me a free extra shot of espresso. That’s it. And that’s what a visit to the coffee shop should be. No fake small talk. No time wasting. No up-selling. Just damn good coffee.

Such friendly, happy people serving coffee in the mornings! Best Mango Ice tea in town. Great salads and sandwiches for lunch! Love the outside patio on sunny days, especially if you have kids that need a place to run around. Cinnamon Rolls are fabulous!

Good food/coffee/tea and a very friendly and helpful staff. Food is a little pricey and don’t go here if you’re in a hurry… definitely slow. My favorite part is that you can mix and match tea blends and essentially make a custom tea bag. Be careful because drinks are HOT. My drink took a good 30 minutes to cool before it was drinkable. Overall a good alternative to Starbucks if you want somewhere more mellow and less crowded.

This restaurant was clean, great ambiance and the chicken mushroom melt along with everything I’ve had previously has been great!!! Tremendous service both at this and auburn-Folsom! I Love the coffee mugs, different cards, and fun other items they have for sale! Great place … glad I found! I’ve tried both locations and wanted people to know what a great alternative to the big names in town!

Slow, slow, slow… That’s all I can say about them. I went in today on my lunch break with a coworker and ordered a Bagel & Cheese sandwich and a coffee drink. There were 2 employees in, one behind the drink counter and one behind the register. While the girl took our orders, the guy just stood there. While we were ordering about four or five people came in behind us and stood in line. The guy made our drinks. Well he made my coworkers drink, and then three other drinks for the people after us and then my drink. The whole time our orders just sat on the counter not being filled becuase the girl seemed to be unable to leave the register while there was a line. All it comes down to really is cross-training, maybe then they wouldn’t make people wait about 20 minutes for an order. The sandwich was good, and the coffee could have been better but overall the experience was not the best. If they weren’t so understaffed, I’d consider a return visit. But for the time being, I’ll have to stick to Starbucks as they know how to be efficient.

When I moved back to Folsom, one of the first things I noticed from the street while driving, was this new Coffee Republic. Today my friend from Placerville wanted to meet up, so I suggested CR, since I’ve never been. Their food menu was extensive, but we were just there for the coffee. He got the Mexican Mocha, and I got the white mocha Wintermint(I think that’s what it’s called). My drink was pretty good, and we both decided it tasted like Christmas. It could’ve been a little hotter though – it was a little too lukewarm for my taste. His Mexican Mocha tasted like a regular mocha, with a strange little kick to it… a kick that I wasn’t too fond of. Anyway. Knocked off two stars because my mocha was $ 4.50. Waay too much for their small size(which wasn’t that small). So, yeah. I guess this place was okay.

I just left Coffee Republic… and have a VERY similar experience to Joseph’s posted experience from 5 minutes ago… What a disappointment… I’m all for supporting our mom & pop shops… but not when they’re this bad.

Some of the menu items are kinda pricey but really good. I’ve had a breakfast bagel and the bistro BLT… their bacon is really good! lol Light and crispy! Their coffee is good too of course! Their Frappes are good too and better than starbucks frappuccinos because you can actually taste the espresso in it, not just the sugar! Plan a little extra time if you want to go here before work… they are kinda slow… but worth the wait! The staff is nice too.

Expensive but tasty food. They do have a nice atmosphere, so I could see hanging out here to work or study, though I think some more cushiony seating would enhance that appeal.

I visited here this morning and ordered a cinnamon roll(delicious!) and Mexican mocha. The mocha wasn’t as cinnamon-y(is that a word?) as others I’ve had, but was still good. Nice indoor and outdoor seating available. Just be aware that the metal chairs outside weigh A TON. Don’t be fooled by their slim design. You could throw your back out.

Ate a breakfast BLT here the other day… was delicious but definitely not worth the $ 9 I paid!!! For that price it should come with fruit too. felt kind of jipped.

A mirror image. This new location has a great menu with all the favorites on it. We tried it today and I found the service and menu to be great, just like the original location. Had the tuna on squaw and it was good. A mocha to finish made it a great lunch.
