This Jimboy’s on Greenback Lane, is far and away the better one in Folsom. The one on East Bidwell is a «corporate store» and it shows. Looks like they’re trying to save a lot of money while skimping on the expected amount of product. The Greenback store has always been more true to the original concept. There is actually cheese on the tacos that you can SEE! Not so at the East Bidwell store. We will happily patronize the one that is further away, across the river, than settle for the new experiment that is beyond disappointing. East Bidwell is cutting the size of the burger meat in the taco burger. The standard beef taco has barely any meat and no cheese that one can see with the naked eye. They even stopped serving the flour tortilla with the taco/enchilada dinner! They say it’s because they found that«90% of the tortillas were throw away.» What? Nope, I do not believe it. Neither of the other two Jimboy’s we visit said that was the case in their establishments. Boooo on corporate! Don’t ruin a 50 year old brand! Your dad would not be happy!

Not all Jimboys are created equal. We love the locations in Folsom and Cameron Park. Here, my super nachos were disgusting. Chicken was low quality and under cooked. Chips slightly stale. My sons burrito was burned. Will not come here again.

This is one of the worst Jimboy’s. The service is fine and it’s clean and in a decent location. But I’ve been here a dozen times and the burritos are always way too small. At 4 dollars plus for a burrito at least it should be bigger then a 99 cent Del Taco burrito. I love Jimboy’s but I’ll be going to the Folsom location from now on. They offer a nice big heavy serving. Shame this one is so weak since I live 2 miles away. Same old lady has been running this location as long as I can remember. Maybe it’s time for her to retire and get a manager who can bring this store up to the standards Jimboy’s is known for. Subway next door is a better deal if you want to get full for 5 bucks. I hope someone will look at all the poor reviews of this location and make some changes.

We’ve been here plenty of times. They’re good, not fantastic. we love Jimboy’s but will drive the extra 10 miles each way into Folsom. The seating is booths, so we like the seats. There is always good parking. . I like this locations’ value menu for kids. I have little ones. Prices are a little high. Gotta use a coupon when possible.

Went by for a few Tuesday Tacos…$ 1 something… Sign on wall inside said same… ordered 7 tacos…“special“ When she gave me total… I question it… She told me no longer Taco Tuesday… I ask her why the sign says so… She hasn’t taken down sign… Cancelled order Won’t be back… If its advertised… they should honor it… PERIOD… There’s one thing I don’t like and thats cheap… Bad customer relations… but I think they don’t care… I didn’t send you here… The Weasel…

I love JImboys. I have gone there less lately because the prices have really gone up. What really keeps me away though is the place for a tip if you use your debit card. They won’t run it as debit so they can get a tip. It makes me feel obligated. So instead of making a few bucks via tip they have lost some business. GREAT foor here thougg.

I usually only write Unilocal reviews for places I REALLY like, but I REALLY dislike this place and have to attempt to warn others. It’s only a half a mile from my house and I love Jimboy’s, I was so excited when I found out how close it was! However, EVERY time I’ve EVER gone here, they have messed up my order. Tonight, I asked for no salad and rice instead… So they gave me beans. Lots and lots of beans… Another time, I ordered a taco enchilada plate and they gave me two tacos. Their tacos are just terrible, by the way. Most places put this amazing cheese on their tacos that makes Jimboys worth while, but they don’t put any cheese at all it seems. I really just can’t explain how disappointing every experience I’ve had at this Jimboys has been… Please, please… Go elsewhere.

I have been eating at this restaurant for lunch for many years(about 20). I realize that prices do go up but after my last experience I probably won’t be back. Their quality of food has been up and down in the recent years but now my lunch with a small draft beer was almost $ 12. This is Jimboys, not some nice fancier Mexican restaurant. I really hate to part ways with an old friend, but for that kind of money I’ll go to La Placita right down the street for a much better meal. So Sorry! Adiós!

Flautas with an s means more than one. I got shorted and when I asked why I only got 1 in my order when I played the language by making my point in Spanish, she just repeated that I must have meant poppers? AVOIDTHISLOCATION.

Meh… I am from out of town so I knew nothing about this place prior. Seems popular by the amount of people there, but my experience was pretty average. They do have $ 2 Sierra Nevada drafts from 2 – 6 happy hour though– extra star for that :)

I don’t know why I thought this place was awesome a few years ago but it’s not. I would rather go to Safeway & buy frozen fake Mexican food. I’m sure there’s is probably frozen too but just frost bitten or stale or just eh. Not good. If you want fake Mexican food just go to Taco Bell.lol.oh man.“real” Mexican food is hard to find.

Nothing like some deep fried tacos with mystery cheese(I think its parmesan) to fill you up after a day on the ski slopes. I always make sure to stop by one of the many Jimboy’s locations off the 80 fwy on the way home from Tahoe to San Francisco.
