The food was great. But the service was a little bad. They gave you numbers so they can going to give you your food but they didn’t and we waited a bit to get our food.

I didn’t mind the 15 minute wait at the drive thru until I got home and realized they forgot the taco in my meal. I was looking forward to that taco.

I will never come back to this place, ordered couple of tacos today, tortillas were burned, hard and greasy, impossible to eat, meat had no flavor at all. What a waste of money.

After forgiving them for dropping their El Gordos(though they are still on the on liine menu) we picked up tacos and a bean burrito. Order was wrong which was a minor problem compared to the food. The worst tacos ever. They must have been made yesterday, the shells were all split on the bottoms. The meat was obviously old. There was a big food truck event yesterday, best guess these were left over from this event. Shameful. Never eating here again.

Food is adequate but the service is very slow. Had to wait 7 minutes to only just order in the drive thru.

Crowd favorite… when my wife’s best friend visits from Seattle, she has two must-do’s every time: Jimboy’s and Togo’s…Jimboy’s is the absolute of the two. Can’t beat the ground beef tacos with extra parmesan cheese on the outside, and their tasty taco sauce packets. Since they remodeled, it’s a great for dine-in or just as good as take-out.

I don’t like to write bad reviews but this place is so gross. It was my first time here and I waited about 25 minutes in the drive thru to get my food. The ‘super burrito’ was dripping in grease and was mostly full of cheap refried beans, canned olives, and wilted lettuce. The bits of meat were greasy and chewy. The churros were freezer burnt and the two tacos I ordered were also super greasy and had very cheap ingredients. Way over priced for what you get. Yuck. Also, the cashier had greasy gloves on when I handed him money so I’m assuming he was cooking and handling cash and not changing gloves! Disgusting.

Two tacos and a couple burritos, churro and a soda. $ 30?! Over priced, especially for the food quality. The taco shells were super greasy, the fish was actually not bad but the sheep around it was kind of gross which killed it for me. The ground beef was over cooked and super greasy. The $ 8 burritos!!! Horrible. Very cheap tortilla, beans sour cream and guac. The carnitas was again really really greasy, I had two bites and couldn’t continue eating it. Just like the rest of the food. Now I know why I never gave them a chance… Wish I had my money and appetite back. Stay away. Not worth the stomach ache.

The best tacos EVER! They always have super fast service and the tacos are always delicious. It’s a little pricey for fast food if feeding a whole family but for a quick taco stop on love you linch break it’s pretty reasonable.

The BEST Jimboy’s restaurant location, hands down. I really wanted to give this location props for always being so clean. The tables are always near and orderly and the restaurant doesn’t have a weird smell at all; if anything, it smells like some delicious food is on the grill. The soda fountain is clean, hot sauces, straws, lids… The whole area is always well-stocked. Plus, during the holiday season, their trash cans were covered with gift wrap paper which was super cute. The staff is absolutely a joy, regardless of how short the interaction is. Excellent service and helpful. They greet you and they always wear a smile. This location actually gives you a number card stand and bring your food out to your table. The food is great. I always go with the classic grilled ground beef tacos(coated with parmesan cheese). This is the only location that grills the tortilla long enough so the taco shell is soft/chewy towards the inside and crunchy/chewy towards the outside. The meat is always extra hot on the inside next to the melted cheese. NYOMZ! I’m hooked!

SLOWEST Jimboys. Hong come here if you’re in a rush on the weekends. They must have one cook. I waited in the drive thru 20 minutes. Only 2 cars ahead of me. Foods always good. They just don’t care about your time.

Every person who didn’t give this place 4 or 5 stars is probably a terrorist and should be deported from the country. It’s fast food tacos. But delicious for what it is! This particular location tastes better than most other locations. Go here. Eat tacos. Profit.

I have never eaten tacos as delicious as Jimboys. They are not like regular tacos, they are incredible sprinkled with parmesan cheese and served nice and hot. My husband enjoyed them growing up in the South Lake Tahoe area, but I had never had one. He always talked about going there with his family so I had to try one. To say the least, I am hooked!

Although they gave me a carnitas enchilada instead of cheese and a ground beef taco instead of shredded and one burrito instead of two in the drive-thru the food was still good. They need to listen better to drive-thru customers. Next time I will a) go inside to get a correct order or b) go next door to Adanbertos. They did honor the buy one get one Unilocal burrito but only gave us one, I don’t think they charged us for two. It took about 12 minutes to get through the drive-thru.

My aunt told me that back in the 60’s they use to drive from South Lake all the way to King’s Beach just to eat tacos out of a trailer. That Spanish Taco stand later morphed into Jimboy’s Tacos. Honestly, I couldn’t imagine driving around that lake, especially back in the 60’s, just for a taco so they must have been really delicious. Visiting Jimboy’s has been on my bucket list ever since(about 3 months…) Finally went today and it wasn’t the Taco Bell experience I thought I would receive. First, they sell beer. Second, yes, they do have a drive thru but the street tacos we bought were cooked to order which is why it took about 10 minutes to get them. While deliciously aromatic we were slightly disappointed when we actually saw them. Single tortillas, carnitas waaaaay over cooked, and the steak slightly chewy. Chicken taco was good but after I smothered it with salsa really all I tasted was salsa. I should also mention they have a great little salsa bar which includes lemons and jalapenos. Ok, the best part of our experience today was having our order taken by Eric G. Gregarious, smart, mildly loquacious, and engaging. Jimboy’s should hold onto this mini-Jimboy as he’s polite and has excellent customer service skills. BTW– I also saw a Subway employees who ordered her lunch here today. Not good advertising for Subway.(tee-hee)

I was working in Folsom last week when realized I needed some supplies so I drove to the neighborhood construction supply store. Lowe’s and behold, there it mysteriously stood as if the earth had parted and it had majestically arose out of the Lowe’s parking lot like a volcano. I could not believe my eyes. It is not every day that you find a mysterious Aztec temple of doom just like in an Indiana Jones movie. Not only had I found a temple of doom, but I had found one with a Jimboy’s Tacos sign mounted on the side. How cool is that? Eat your heart out Indiana Jones. Wait a second! I don’t even like Jimboy’s Tacos. I nervously began muttering to myself; «would the great Indiana Jones have let a minor setback like that deter him?» It was with great tension that I parked my truck, forcefully released my tense grip from my steering wheel and gathered enough inner courage to further explore this mysterious temple. I dreaded every step as I cautiously walked through the dimly lit curved stone passageways that lead into the inner court where treasures like tacos, burritos, and beer on tap awaited me behind granite barricades that were stacked high with paper cups, drink dispensers and cash registers in a feeble attempt to hide the temple’s inner wealth. I bravely strutted up to the barricade just like Indiana Jones would have done and began to barter with the natives. Surprisingly, they were much friendlier than I had anticipated and offered to share their treasures with me in return for my precious American currency. I sat at table surrounded by stone walls while I nervously explored my new found treasures like my steak burritos. Perhaps my most amazing discovery of all was the burritos were actually pretty tasty for a Jimboy’s Tacos.
