I would give this place two stars but I’ll give it three because I did learn a lot in a mere 3 weeks. I learned so much from the Skills Instructor Dave and Anthony and even Shannon who is the Instructor the 1st Week of Training. She gets the Students ready to take the DMV Permit Test and goes over a lot, mainly text book related but it’s still material you can retain for reference. But overall the Part that lacks the most is Behind the Wheel(Driving on the Street). It’s set up to where 4 Students are crammed in the back waiting there turn to drive(30 minutes at average on a good day if that) while the Instructor observes the students ability to drive(Keep in Mind this is a 2 week course and the 1st week is classroom only). So basically you are crammed the 2nd week learning Pre Trip, Air Brakes Skills and Behind the Wheel which is not impossible but with behind the wheel instructors that lack experience and who aren’t training properly set you up for failure. I wasn’t taught how to down shift properly and I could go on but on Test Day I passed Everything but Behind the wheel(twice) which should reflect the instructors inability to teach. Now I’m not blaming the instructor entirely a lot has to do with Swift. They are in a money making business to get in as many students as possible. Overall I would not recommend this school for anyone who wants to get into truck driving. Take a course that stretches 7 weeks at least because it’s a lot of information to retain and you wanna get the most out of your training.

Swift recruiting, Swift schooling, Swift luv! I have had an absolutely awesome experience thus far! I can honestly say anyone looking to get into the trucking industry call Swift and get qualified to join their team! I started on Monday and by Wednesday I had passed my DMV testing and have my permit. Now it is out to the yard for hands on truck knowledge and driving… To be continued…
