If you have curly hair, you owe it to yourself to go see Jessie at The 3^rd Floor Salon and get a good haircut. Actually, if you have any hair at all you should see Jessie, but I have curly hair, and I know how difficult it is to get a good haircut. I have had a million bad cuts, and finally just started cutting and coloring it myself — which did not look good. I walked into the 3^rd Floor Salon on a whim, because the sign said, «Walk-​ins Welcome» and I was desperate for a good cut and color for an important event. I am *so* glad I took the chance on Jessie! My curls are back and the color is gorgeous!
Jessie is a natural. She understands hair and color. She spent a lot of time looking at my hair to determine how my curls fall, checking the color top and bottom, quizzing me on my preferences and how my hair behaves, etc. She mixed up the most gorgeous color that looks natural, shiny, and is exactly the right shade. She made the cut look easy, and quickly restored my curls. I left my appointment with Jessie feeling like a million dollars, and completely confident.
The Salon is great too. My first impression of it was comfortable. The atmosphere is wonderful — welcoming, cosy, and clean — nothing pretentious or stark. If you are looking for a skilled stylist, have curly hair or colored hair, want to find a comfy salon/​spa, or simply just want to experience your best haircut ever, then visit Jessie at The 3^rd Floor Salon. Just let me get my appointment in first because I found her first!

Im new to the area and am usually very skeptical when it comes to finding someone to do my hair. Im glad I looked at the reviews and took the risk of going in without a referral. Jessie was amazing and great company. She trimmed my hair without chopping it all off (which somehow manages to happen??) and colored it nicely. It was a great experience and I even brought my 4 month old. The prices were pretty standard compared to other salons I have been to. I will be returning!

I love this salon! Erica is an amazing hairdresser. She was very attentive to my needs and very gentle with my hair. She also showed me some really cool products that have done wonders for my hair. The prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend this place!

Cara is the best stylist! She is professional, friendly, and does an amazing job. She was honest with me about what styles/​colors would or wouldn’t look good given my hair type, color and face shape. I have been seeing Cara for a few years now and my hair always comes out looking great.

There are too many hair salons in Forest Grove. Seriously– it’s overkill. It also makes it hard to decide where to go. My first experience was at a different salon, and while it wasn’t terrible, I didn’t feel compelled to return. My second experience– at 3^rd Floor Salon– was perfect. It is always a bit nerve-​wracking to find a new stylist, but after reading some reviews on a different site, I decided to give Cara a try. I am so glad I did. Cara was professional and thorough, taking the time to fix the gold and butter mess my hair was when I walked into the salon, and turning it into the ashy shades it should be. She explained what she was doing every step of the way, and didn’t rush the process, even though everything took about an hour longer than we planned for. Cara’s attention to detail and charming personality made the experience exactly what I look for in a salon and a stylist. I also had the opportunity to chat with another stylist– Jessie– who was equally as personable and cool. The salon itself is small but doesn’t feel cramped. You almost get the feeling like you are hanging out in someone’s home while getting your hair done– but in a good way. Plus, they are currently in the process of expanding to offer more services like nails and waxing. The best part– after everything Cara did for my hair, the price she charged was ridiculously reasonable, as her philosophy is that you should be able to look good without being charged an arm and a leg for it. I highly recommend this salon to anyone in the area, and to anyone from out of the area, because it would be worth the trip. And after you are done getting your hair done, there are two wine bars on Main street within walking distance. Does it get any better than that? :)
